@StudentHelp I’m so sorry to hear about your guinea pig and your terrible experience at the vets, our beloved cats both died a couple of years ago. One was euthanised at the vets and the other died 5 months later on the way there, it was dreadful both times but every person from the receptionists to vets where absolutely wonderful and showed us so much compassion, I’ll never forget how kind they were. I’m sure you’ll be a wonderful vet and treat every animal and owner with great care.

I’ve been lurking on this thread and others for a while but couldn’t read and run. Thanks to everyone for all the tips, I’ve been doing a bit of clickworkers and some mystery shopping for the past month and I’ve managed to make about £250 on top of a full time job which I’m delighted with.

I think Chip is great as I have saved £120 so far this year and haven't noticed at all. It basically uses algorithms to track your spending and rounds of the pennies and saves them periodically. I am using it for Christmas as it always catches me out every year. I am hoping to get at least £1000.

What happens with chip when you have direct debits coming out, does it leave your money alone if you have stuff coming out so you don't go in the red. Or do you have to faff around with settings?

@GachaBread it only takes what you can afford,so it analyses your account, looks at DD's etc. You can set a 'level' of savings between 1-5, and it won't ever take what you don't have. You can set it to not let your bank balance go below a certain amount too.

Honestly it's revolutionised the way I spend money!
