@TheLolaMontez woo well done! I've been dipping in and out of it while in work and just hit the $50 so going to call it a day for now :) happy to be getting close to the £10 a day target in Feb after a dismal January!

Lougle · 12/02/2020 14:34

Thank you to whoever used my Trading 212 link. I hope you are happy with your share. If anyone else wants a free share (after topping up £1) they can get one here (other links from posters are available):

Catatemyhomework · 12/02/2020 14:53

I've just had to decline two test cycles for UTest as there were no available slots for my devices. It's a bit disappointing. The UHRS work is keeping me busy but is deathly boring!

Lougle · 12/02/2020 15:02

Were they test case only, @Catatemyhomework? If they have test case and exploratory you can do them regardless.

I was invited to a cycle at 4:09 am today. Unsurprisingly, I was asleep. I got an email at 04:19 to say it was full.

Catatemyhomework · 12/02/2020 15:07

@Lougle, I think there were some exploratory slots left, but I'm unclear about the payouts for those. I did an exploratory slot the other day as the test slots had all gone, and spent hours finding a bug and writing the report and earned about £2.88. I don't really want to waste time doing that again. I know it's all good experience but I can earn better money right now on UHRS. UTest tend to invite me to stuff that only has a few hours left to run and I panic!

anxiouswaiting · 12/02/2020 15:24

How much are people earning per hour on UHRS? I did some before but I have been kicked off in the past for working too quickly even when I have been 100% right. Now I am not earning much as I am concious of my speed.

Catatemyhomework · 12/02/2020 15:37

@anxiouswaiting, I've been doing it since yesterday and earned about $25 so far. I am taking my time and have only been on for a few hours each day but it's so boring that I can't stand it after a while. I am going slowly though as don't want to be kicked off.

rhij86 · 12/02/2020 15:46

@anxiouswaiting based on my stats today I've made $12 an hour ($50 total) but I was dipping in and out between work so could have gone faster

SimplyBlue · 12/02/2020 15:49

Has anyone signed up to the research place that
@otterses shared? I'm going to look at it now so thanks for sharing otterses but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has experience with them?.

askwonder.com/ - this is the one I mean.

I got £90 in the end last week from Rev for transcription and am up to £70 for this week so far having spent nowhere near as much time on it. I had no experience prior to this so was a bit slow/overly cautious to start but I've started to speed up which is good.

I've got about 1100 points on Isay too, but they pay in vouchers when I prefer cash. You can get those prepaid MasterCard's though so I may go for one of those.

justtheonethen · 12/02/2020 16:49

About $12 an hour here but done whilst wrangling a toddler so could have done more, although it doesn't like it when you go too quick anyway which is annoying.

Catatemyhomework · 12/02/2020 16:57

I must be really slow. It's taken me just over 4 hours to earn $32. My accuracy rate is pretty high though!

Lougle · 12/02/2020 17:02

@SimplyBlue how many hours did you transcribe for to get £90?

SimplyBlue · 12/02/2020 17:15

@lougle last week it says I transcribed 259 minutes, so that was for the £90.

This week where I'm up to £60, I've transcribed 125 minutes so far.

SimplyBlue · 12/02/2020 17:16

So I think I've earned more for less this week? My maths is appallingly rusty. I have started to pay more attention to the rate for jobs I pick so it should be more for less I think.

Lougle · 12/02/2020 17:22

Sorry to be thick, but is that 'I spent 259 minutes transcribing' (£20/hr) or 'I spent hours and hours on the transcribing, which meant that I managed to transcribe 259 minutes of speech that Rev provided'?

StudentHelp · 12/02/2020 17:23

@SimplyBlue
I think you’ve earned more too!

90/259 = 0.347 so around 35p a minute
60/125 = 0.48 so 48p a minute

SimplyBlue · 12/02/2020 17:42

Oh sorry @lougle those minutes are the length of the actual audio/video files.

I spent more than time than that actually doing the transcriptions. I really couldn't say how long though. I mostly have chosen jobs with a long deadline (usually 7-8 hours). I wouldn't spent anything like 7-8 hours working on them though. I'd work on it sporadically throughout the day. I did approximately one project per day last week (I think one day I did two shorter ones new, and one day I did nothing). Is that any help? I'll try and work it out properly the next time I start one.

SimplyBlue · 12/02/2020 17:43

Sorry for all the typos! Hopefully you can make sense of that.

Lougle · 12/02/2020 17:46

That makes perfect sense! I'll maybe look at it.

In the meantime, I've had a 'work available' email from Appen. But I'm a bit busy with tea and another 2 projects I'm working on!

rhij86 · 12/02/2020 17:57

@lougle I've had the same email, hoping to hop on in an hour or so, hopefully there's some work left!

BertieBotts · 12/02/2020 17:58

@lougle no, it's a Sony, I'll have a try when I get back from parents evening!

YasssKween · 12/02/2020 18:00

Ooh just finished my application for Rev after reading about it on here today. How are people finding it so far? Be great to hear what it's like Smile

anxiouswaiting · 12/02/2020 18:08

Had the Appen e-mail. won't be able to get on till late tonight, bet it will all be gone, always the way lol. Hopefully the 1 batch per person rule will mean there is enough for there to be some left!

Catatemyhomework · 12/02/2020 18:44

That's amazing @SimplyBlue. Well done! That seems like a good rate you're working at.

What Appen project is eveyone talking about? I've been invited to take the Rattle test but not been asked to do any actual work on anything yet. That sounds exciting.
I managed $42 in the end on UHRS and now it's saying there are no more available.
I think I need a to be more regimental in my approach to this kind of working. I waste hours just faffing around and realise I haven't earned anything all day and haven't achieved much either. I need to formulate a plan and maximise my time more effectively. Life does have a habit of getting in the way though!

Boobahs · 12/02/2020 18:45

I've actually earned some money on UHRS today!! Get the flags out! Grin Managed 1.5 hours on the sentence rewrites, earned $19.50 but it's now saying there's no hits left, even though I can see there is, have I been kicked off?!
