Just that really, do you work part time or full time and what do you get paid for your job? Do you think it’s enough? Worth it? Etc

I’m currently working 36-40 hours a week for just over 1700 a month and I feel like it’s crap pay!? Just wondered how others felt and what position they were in.
If you don’t want to answer then don’t...just move on. It’s an anonymous forum so it’s no biggie!! ( also I have NC’d so not a troll)

QforCucumber · 29/01/2020 15:12

34.5 a week for 25k a year so £480 a week Gross

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 29/01/2020 15:39

24 hours a week £9.58ph. Fairly decent hourly rate where I am for the job I am in, but the sector I work in id actually grossly underpaid.

SwishSwishSheesh · 29/01/2020 15:52

36 hrs per week for £1,450.00 per month after deductions

Ninjakittysmellz · 29/01/2020 15:58

25 hours a week for £1260 per month, then another 5 hours a week from home for £100 pw.

I love both my jobs, they are both completely flexible and I feel valued and also bloody lucky to have work I can organise around my home commitments.

Justgivemesomepeace · 29/01/2020 16:01

30 hrs a week for 1750 basic but commisionable role. Usually get around 2k. I think thats good.

Changename5000 · 29/01/2020 16:04

31 hrs per week

Take home 1600 per month

Crabonastick · 29/01/2020 16:09

30 hours for £720pw as a minimum and on average around another 6-8 hours a month for another £160pm (it depends- self employed!)

muddledmidget · 29/01/2020 16:10

Self employed so set my own hours/rates but generally £25-27/hour Mon-sat and £30/hour Sunday, and I try to work 25+ hours each week. Take home around 3000-3500 per month before tax but have to complete self assessment each year

Pebstk · 29/01/2020 16:13

Contacted 37.5 hours (prob work quite a few more) - civil servant - take home £3,125 - pay quite a lot towards pension which annoys me - keep thinking I could have more in my hand - don’t feel I am well off - even though this probably sounds quite good

Pebstk · 29/01/2020 16:14

Obviously meant take home £3,125 per month

ClientQueen · 29/01/2020 16:31

40hrs, take home between £1400-1800 depending on bonus

Lazypuppy · 29/01/2020 18:27

Bohemond · 29/01/2020 18:41

Panicovereveryone · 29/01/2020 19:18

imamearcat · 29/01/2020 19:22

22.5 hours and take home about £2k a month.

Boredbumhead · 29/01/2020 19:23

40 hrs per week and 3,200 pcm after deductions.

TheGriffle · 29/01/2020 19:26

18.5 hours a week take home £810 after deductions. My job is fairly easy and I think I’m well paid for what I do.

snowone · 29/01/2020 19:28

19 hours per week for £1300 ish per month

FFSFFSFFS · 29/01/2020 19:30

Between 60 - 100 (normally 80) hours per month and earn between £90-£100 hours depending on how efficient I am.

It's fab. Work when I want and how much I want.

I've got lots of qualifications though and suffered through a LOT of god awful mega stressful jobs before I got to this sweet spot though.

TeddyIsaHe · 29/01/2020 19:30

30 hrs, take home £2430. I generally end up working 45+ hrs though.

FFSFFSFFS · 29/01/2020 19:31

£90-£100 per hour

anonacatchat · 29/01/2020 19:33

About 2900 - big chunk in pension and student loan before this so would be about 3400.

(Then bonus twice a year and quite a few other benefits )

Work about 37-40 hrs but spend a lot of time socializing with work people after hours too so very long days sometimes

anonacatchat · 29/01/2020 19:33
  • pay cut from last role for more hours but I'm a lot happier .

Appreciate I'm very lucky

Twillow · 29/01/2020 19:35

£9.50 p/h 25 hours, stepped down from a much better paying job that wasn't making me happy! I'm still glad even though it's a scrimp and struggle some months.
