Just that really, do you work part time or full time and what do you get paid for your job? Do you think it’s enough? Worth it? Etc

I’m currently working 36-40 hours a week for just over 1700 a month and I feel like it’s crap pay!? Just wondered how others felt and what position they were in.
If you don’t want to answer then don’t...just move on. It’s an anonymous forum so it’s no biggie!! ( also I have NC’d so not a troll)

40 hours per week, £1275 after l deductions. I'm underpaid but unfortunately it's an average salary for the area. I'm also overqualified which doesn't help to how I feel about it.

pinksquash13 · 29/01/2020 19:42

47 - 50 hours. 20 min commute. £2200 a month after deductions. I am not unhappy with my salary but feel that the sector is underpaid.

Scapegoatforlife · 29/01/2020 19:44

1250 for 40 hours a month....pittance

Dellarobia · 29/01/2020 19:45

18.5 hours for £21k

ItWasntMyFault · 29/01/2020 19:45

37.5 hrs pw, take home £2,200 per month.

homemadecommunistrussia · 29/01/2020 19:46

Well this is depressing.

EnglishRain · 29/01/2020 19:46

37.5hrs a week. 45k gross per annum. After student loan and pension I get roughly £2.35k a month

Asdf12345 · 29/01/2020 19:47

About 65 hours a week. £55k gross.

Beekeeper1 · 29/01/2020 19:49

Highly skilled and experienced craft gardener/horticulturalist/estate manager, work 7.30 - 5.00, five days/week with three hour commute daily added on for £1470
/month after deductions. Fuel costs each day swallow up nearly a sixth of my net daily incomeShockWoefully underpaid and undervalued for my level of skills, experience and knowledge, but in the South West where such jobs are few and far between! Just have to plod on until I can find something better and nearer home.

Hugepeppapigfan · 29/01/2020 19:50

Take home pay is £2800. Hours worked at place of work 40 hours per week. Hours worked from home at evenings and weekends anything from 6-20. 39 weeks of the year. Approx 5-20 hours a week in the other weeks of the year.

changedmyname2019 · 29/01/2020 19:50

18 hours a week and bring home 1071 a month. I'm up north in a very low pay city so it isn't too bad.

YappityYapYap · 29/01/2020 19:51

25 hours a week, take home £975 a month

Cluckyandconfused · 29/01/2020 19:51

32 hours per week for the equivalent of £780 (£3380/month).
I’m a band 5 equivalent nurse but I don’t work in the UK. Wages are higher here, maybe cost of living too but I’m not sure because I haven’t been back in over a decade. Mortgage is £1140/month if we only repay the minimum.

stairway · 29/01/2020 19:51

23 hours for around £1350 a month net. It’s ok as outgoings are low.

MamaFlintstone · 29/01/2020 19:52

29.4 hours for £45k gross, works out about £2.6k net but that’s with large chunks going on pension contributions.

CtrlU · 29/01/2020 19:53

This thread is giving me serious wage envy lol Envy (that was a joke - I know some MN’ers take things seriously)

MoonBase29 · 29/01/2020 19:53

35hours sometimes a couple hours less
Take home £2200 pm after deductions

Skade · 29/01/2020 19:54

I have 3 jobs totalling about 55 hours a week and earn around £3000 a month after tax.

Chronicallymothering · 29/01/2020 19:55

28 hours and take home pay of £3031 after pension.

I feel both completely like I earn every penny of that, and also like I cannot believe it when I get paid. I work part time for health reasons.

AnnaMariaDreams · 29/01/2020 19:57

21 hours, around 3k per month.

Changeembrace · 29/01/2020 19:59

posterposted · 29/01/2020 20:03
