HAPPY NEW YEAR

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Are there any sites that give vouchers in lieu of payment? Cba having to sort out the tax/register asset employed.

I filled out the form on the page this link takes you to a few days ago and it said I'd go on a waiting list. I got the email they were taking applicants today. Not sure whether you'll have a wait or get put straight through to the application bit. Good luck!

I used to do something called shopandscan which paid in vouchers.

I think there's a certain threshold you can earn before you have to declare yourself as self employed but I am not sure how much it is

I'm pretty sure vouchers are treated the same as if you are paid in cash

Oh and Appen emailed me back about the Atascadero project that it said I was qualified for, I just kept getting a message to say await further instructions. Apparently they have filled the quota so I'm out

@lilmishap I'm not sure tbh. I applied for Crisp and Appen back in Sept and have got 13 tasks "in progress" currently but no sniff of any work yet!

I don't know if this has been mentioned but there is a chrome extension Prolific assistant that alerts you to Prolific studies

A bit cheeky but can I ask if anyone has done the exam for S**y on Appen? I've got the link but I am ill in bed. I don't know if it's doable with a fuggy head and better to try it and not miss out on the project because of delay or wait until my mind is clear and have a better chance of passing.

Has anyone just started on prolific and have a first submission awaiting approval? I completed a study on the 6th but it isn’t approved yet. Is this usual?

@Reclaiminglife they say it can take 21 working days to be approved. If it's not done by then they apply it automatically. It depends on the researchers as to how fast they do it.

Yes, that's normal, I've waited longer than that occasionally, but they always get answered :)

Yes they can take up to a fortnight but most are approved in days

@margaritasbythesea i did a test for them that basically consisted of asking if i had an android device and a couple of other things. Not a test you need to study for.

I've finally managed to join Appen! I'm applying for projects, everything I apply for is asking me to name the company I'm currently working for as a SEE. Do I put Appen? I'm not doing anything elsewhere!
