So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@lynsey91

Once you finish with sign up offers then you would just move onto reload offers which are offers for existing customers.

The money in Matched Betting isn't in the sign up offers as that's just what everyone does at the start, the money is in the reload offers that bookies put out there to keep customers coming back over and over again.

I've covered it in the blog post I've linked above ;)

Flube · 07/01/2020 10:44

nerd I don't have an up to date CV. So I just wrote a paragraph summarising any relevant skills. They have accepted my application, and I've just signed up to a couple of projects.

Flube · 07/01/2020 10:45

To clarify, I didn't upload a CV. I uploaded a paragraph summarising my skills.

@Flube thank you, I've got a CV, just panicking that my description of duties at my last job isn't exactly brilliant! I'll get it send off with what I have in that case!

theatrenerd31 · 07/01/2020 11:18

@themoneyshed do you have any idea whether matched betting counts as income for benefit purposes? I'm currently applying for carers allowance, I know matched betting doesn't count for tax, but I can't find clear guidance relating to benefits. Don't want to start and find it affects the income rules with it being such a blunt cut off for carers allowance! Thank you :)

themoneyshed · 07/01/2020 11:21

@theatrenerd31

It's not a situation I've personally been in so it's hard for me to advise.

If you win money on a fruit machine does that count as income against benefits?

What about from a scratch card?

What about if you had a night out with friends at a casino and won a few hundred - would that?

theatrenerd31 · 07/01/2020 11:30

@themoneyshed I'm honestly not sure, there doesn't seem to be clear guidance on betting income (presumably to deliberately leave the lines hazy) so I'm struggling to work out where I'd stand! Frustratingly carers is so black and white with the income that earning anything over their earnings limit means it stops completely instead of being a tapered cut off, I'm so worried about shooting us in the foot and having to reapply all over again (or worse, being accused of benefit fraud) that I'm nervous about getting started, but it seems like such a good side thing to get going to help with finances while I'm unable to work because of my son's medical needs!

lynsey91 · 07/01/2020 11:59

@themoneyshed thank you. I want to get back into it so shall read the link you posted.

KnowBetterDoBetter · 07/01/2020 12:03

Hi all,

Here's my Freetrade referral link if anybody wants to use it:

https://freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=82OQKKJZMN&sender=90Ca6L8X You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s an app for investing in the stock market with no fees. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free mystery share!

Thanks Smile

Patapouf · 07/01/2020 12:05

My Freetrade link has come through if anyone is planning on signing up- we will both get a free share:

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=CX07FBJENU&sender=SAocjP7z You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s an app for investing in the stock market with no fees. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free mystery share!

Patapouf · 07/01/2020 12:06

😂 @KnowBetterDoBetter our emails must have both come through at the same time!

usernamegoeshere · 07/01/2020 12:12

@themoneyshed I've been on your forums today (I assume it's yours!) It's been useful thank you. Not registered as am at work but I'm feeling confident I will be able to find enough extra work to restart match betting now. (I spent my bank in November!) And really feeling the loss!

justtheonethen · 07/01/2020 12:17

@mumofone2019 hard to say as it's so events led. Generally I find early morning is busier. I think there needs to be at least 200 in the queue for it not to be really slow.

Momniscient · 07/01/2020 12:30

Earned my first £10 on Swagbucks!!! I'm keeping a reckoner for the year instead of updating every time, but I'm just so pleased to have reached £10 already just doing surveys! Mind you, I'm not back at work yet so have far too much time on my hands Grin

Foolishly, I am halfway through on of their "reach level whatever in under a month and earn 950 swagbucks" type things and it's mind-numbing. Is anyone else doing any of these gaming ones?

Fanniee · 07/01/2020 12:32

I make about £6 an hour on crisp and have been doing it for quite a while.

I'm cautious of the 1 mistake in 4000 expectation rate and don't want to be fired.

anxiouswaiting · 07/01/2020 12:43

Those on cloudworkers (or the other one thats similar, I forget what it is called) is it busy all day? Crisp is so quiet during the day it isn't worth my time really as I can't get a good hourly rate on it. I am considering signing up to one of these chat jobs as well.

HarrietThePi · 07/01/2020 13:00

@Momniscient how have you managed that on swagbucks? Shock

I only have 140sb. Have had the app installed for about a week now. I guess I'm not using it enough.

HarrietThePi · 07/01/2020 13:06

I used one of the free trade referral links and have the app now. I deposited £1 but nothing is showing up in my account yet. Does it usually take a while to update? Maybe I'm being impatient as I only did it 10 mins ago, but I'm used to things happening instantly!

Momniscient · 07/01/2020 13:34

@HarrietThePi

So far,
990SB in surveys:
Day 1 - 32 attempts, of which 6 successes
Day 2 - 23 attempts, of which 5 successes
Day 3 - 28 attempts, of which 3 successes
Day 4 - 14 attempts, of which 1 success
Day 5 - 16 attempts, of which 3 successes
Day 6 - 4 attempts, of which 3 successes (today)

6SB in daily polls
300SB registration bonus
13SB in referrals
250SB in bonuses

So that's 1,559SB so far.

That would be enough for a 10GBP paypal card thing (1,450SB) but I'm not cashing out yet. I don't need the cash imminently, so I'm holding out until I know where it's "needed" - Paypay or Amazon.

For the bonuses, when you register you can get double points on the next survey you do. I waited until high value surveys came up (80/90SB) before attempting, and just waited out the low ones.

I think it's just down to sheer determination/stubbornness - I check for surveys when the kettle's boiling, bread is toasting, that sort of thing. Ten minutes here and there when my brain falls over from what I'm currently working on and I need a mental break! Brew

HarrietThePi · 07/01/2020 13:41

@Momniscient wow that's great. Good effort!

Are the bonuses from links that you have to spend money on?

I have done a few surveys and I've watched a few of the videos - I leave them playing on my phone while I watch tv but I keep forgetting to do it.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 07/01/2020 13:47

@Momniscient well done. I'm on 6,284 SB in total and converted most of them into Amazon gift cards at Christmas.

www.swagbucks.com/refer/RPSLSpock if anyone is interested.

Also, you get 100 SB when you use this link and install the Swagbutton as a browser extension.

www.swagbucks.com/lp-savings-button?cmp=695&cxid=swagbuttonref&rb=20452311&extRefCmp=1&extRb=20452311

Momniscient · 07/01/2020 13:51

@HarrietThePi nope - I haven't spent any real money. I haven't managed to get the video thing to work as my browser just sits there and doesn't seem to kick into play!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 07/01/2020 13:53

Swagbucks video thing won't work on my Mac either, i play them on my phone when i remember!

CantstandmLMs · 07/01/2020 14:01

I'm really inspired to do this as I used to do lots of money making stuff when I was at college...surgery's, product reviews, buying in bulk and selling on eBay alongside college and my part time supermarket job...dont get me wrong I had more time as I work 55 hours and am doing a Masters with the OU but this really appeals and I'd like to get back into some extra cash!
