Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Otterses · 01/10/2019 06:57

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

@SNISR

What did the job entail?

SNISR · 17/10/2019 18:37

@Frenchdoors1 erotic chats like cloud worker

Frenchdoors1 · 17/10/2019 18:39

Ahh, I see.

Buster27 · 17/10/2019 19:18

@Osquito think you would need to knock off a couple of £ signs for my current turtle pace! Hopefully I will speed up with practice.

@Bemystarlord I think they must be lenient while you are training.. as several things I emailed about had been done wrong! At least in live there is the unsure option which I'm sure I'll be using frequently to start with.

Hi I'm new to this thread, I've just been accepted onto the Appen Innari project and waiting to get set up. I've also passed the assessment for crisp so hoping to hear back from them at some point. I had someone do Freeman for me for Appen but they only completed some of the recordings so hoping for a partial payment for that. But I'm new to Appen so not really sure how it all works. Innari looks like it could be good if it's long term.

Buster27 · 17/10/2019 21:32

Ooh I have Klipfolio now! The first couple of days I did don't seem to be there yet, but apparently I have £11 from the 2.25 hours I've done over the last couple of days. Tbh I thought it would be less (I suspect the first days were much worse in terms of £ ph Grin)

3dogsnorth · 17/10/2019 22:33

@Buster27 can you tell me about Klipfolio. What do you have to do to get on it?

shortcircuitlongmemory · 17/10/2019 22:43

Hi guys,

Long time lurker, new poster.

After reading previous threads, I sat and passed the Crisp test and promptly forgot all about it. A couple of months later I received confirmation that I had been selected to start but I, quite frankly, shat out of it because I was worried that:

  1. It's some sort of mad con

Or

  1. Since I already work, I would get hammered with tax (or something)

Can anyone kick my fears into touch or encourage me into the ways of the 'Crisp' 😆

Would dearly love some extra cash to pay my credit cards off but if it's going to cost me tax-wise, I needn't bother!

Thanks in advance xxx

DontCallMeDarling · 17/10/2019 23:53

@shortcircuitlongmemory

Am very jealous you got Crisp, I'm still waiting, fingers crossed I hear soon. Anyway, from all the positive experiences on here, it is not a con. And yes you do have to pay tax on the income you earn. You would have to set yourself up with HMRC and submit a self-assessment to declare your earnings each year. I don't know what you earn but you would pay your normal tax rate, this would still leave you with a decent amount towards your credit cards once you got the hand of it. Good luck with it.

I just got my first month's pay from Cloudworkers-129 pounds, which wasn't bad considering I just scraped a few hours here and there between hospital appointments and two other jobs. I've already made that at the middle of this month now that things have calmed down and I have more home time, so I'm hoping to double it this month.

Zepilidi · 18/10/2019 06:31

Been up all night doing appen bane! Part 2 is still live atm if people want to try and get some time in this morning.

SNISR · 18/10/2019 06:34

@Buster27 what is klipfolio?

Otterses · 18/10/2019 06:48

@SNISR @3dogsnorth Klipfolio is the tool Crisp use to track your earnings.

@shortcircuitlongmemory haha not at all a scam, just a fab job. Yes you will need to pay tax if you already earn over the threshold.

ArthurShelbysTash · 18/10/2019 07:28

Morning all. I have been hammering the Pinterest tasks on Clickworker (until I was sin binned!) and have my first payable amount this morning. It's over €30 so I assumed it would go into my PayPal account today.

Would it have had to have been payable yesterday for me to have had it paid in today? Have I missed the deadline by a day? Does anyone have any idea? So many questions...

Can I just thank you all, since stumbling across this thread (I usually lurk on aibu!) I have managed to earn a few extra quid which will hopefully mean christmas is back on!

Moremoneyplease · 18/10/2019 07:55

Can I ask a daft question? Just started on Bane part two, my first Appen job so want to do well. For a particular search, 8 of the results are the same - they just take to you to company website. But I assume that I need to make the top 3 results all different?

rhij86 · 18/10/2019 08:52

Annoyed about the timing of Bane, Slept last night, work today and date night with DH tonight (which we need as things have been a bit rocky of late). Am I stupid to think there might be any chance of there being work left tomorrow?

@ArthurShelbysTash they usually pay out in the afternoon, so I would imagine the amount you have payable at the moment will hit your paypal later today. (At least that's what I'm hoping as I have a similar amount sat there haha)

Adelais · 18/10/2019 08:56

Is anyone able to get on Clickworker this morning?

Zepilidi · 18/10/2019 08:57

For a particular search, 8 of the results are the same - they just take to you to company website. But I assume that I need to make the top 3 results all different?

For ones where it was mostly same links and irrelevant sites, I just did the same ones! Not sure if it was right or...! But it's what I did. I had a couple where every single link was the same Hmm.

SNISR · 18/10/2019 08:59

@rhij86 so on clickworkers do we get paid every Friday? I only just started doing the Pinterest last Friday and have about £25. So whatever is payable, lands in our PayPal on Fridays?

SNISR · 18/10/2019 09:00

@Adelais I rated about 2 Pinterest jobs before no more needed rating.

Moremoneyplease · 18/10/2019 09:40

Thanks @Zepilidi They've got quite comprehensive instructions but no answers to the questions I've had. I'll persevere as best I can!

rhij86 · 18/10/2019 09:49

@SNISR their website says people who have selected paypal will be paid weekly between a weds and friday. The one payment I received before was on a weds but @Frenchdoors1 has received two payments on a Friday... so hoping we will get something this afternoon!

GoodPlaceJanet · 18/10/2019 10:45

Thank you @SNISR
