Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Otterses · 01/10/2019 06:57

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

Yay, just got my 3rd amazon card from Swagbucks. I only really do the daily to do list so well happy with that!

www.swagbucks.com/refer/RPSLSpock if anyone is interested, we both get a bonus.

p.s. i totally slept through Bane but i already have a Figure8 account via swagbucks.

juicy0 · 17/10/2019 10:48

Advice please. I've just completed two appen tasks, noyo and Atascadero. How do you know whether the work is ok and that you'll be paid? Both are auto generated invoice projects so I don't need to creat invoices. Is there anywhere to see a list of the projects I've completed or do I need to keep a manual record?
Thanks in advance and sorry to ask so many questions

Placemarking

anxiouswaiting · 17/10/2019 10:52

@Fizbo I do i deed, however did you guess Wink

@PiggyPokkyFool thanks, I am signed up to swagbucks but have nevet given it much thought. You seem to be doing well on it though so I think I will give it another look! Is it mainly just surveys you do? I think what put me off was getting bucks for watching videos and I actually had to actively watch them due to attention checks you have to click on. But it sounds like surveys are the way to go.

@rhij86 Yes I did! Saw the e-mail just as I was going to bed and thought great I will do that tomorrow. Woke up to an e-mail saying there is no work left Sad

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 17/10/2019 10:54

@juicy0 i think even though the projects are auto generated you still have to submit the invoice around the 1st of the month. You just don't need to add the times in manually.

There is no way of knowing if the work is good until either you are audited (random checks), your invoice is declined or it is accepted. I'm sure you will be fine though.

PiggyPokkyFool · 17/10/2019 11:05

Yes @anxiouswaiting - I only do the surveys - both the main ones and the Peanut Lab ones. I tried the videos but the reward is useless for the time so I only did it twice!
I try to hit the 'daily target' each day as that can be £5 alone at the end of the month for no extra effort.
These are a slow burn but I like You Gov as you never screen out -
yougov.co.uk/refer/5n4orle6y-iGn-xFyNEk-w/
I get £50 every 3 months and the money is very little effort.
Hope it works out for you.

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 11:12

@juicy0

When did you get accepted onto Atascadero and when did you get the work through? I got accepted 2-3 weeks ago but have heard nothing since, even though I've emailed them??

PiggyPokkyFool · 17/10/2019 11:28

clicky link this time ( hopefully)

juicy0 · 17/10/2019 11:43

@rhij86 I got accepted about 9 days ago and got the link the email on Monday.

juicy0 · 17/10/2019 11:44

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock ok thanks. I'll look into how to submit an auto generated invoice

Osquito · 17/10/2019 11:54

Hi all! Just found out I passed my Crisp test, but was told to review 2 certain areas - I’ve asked them if I could see what I did incorrectly, anyone else had any luck with that before?

Either way I’m so relieved, I did it a few nights ago and (1) forgot to put a timer on, and (2) didn’t keep a tally, so I was actually really upset with myself that I’d not done well.

So interesting see all the other work posters are doing, I’m just sticking to Crisp for now but it’s so heartening to know there are options available!

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 12:20

@juicy0 thank you, that's quite frustrating as I've not heard ! I'll contact them again. Glad you got the work through :)

Fizbo · 17/10/2019 12:37

@anxiouswaiting I could have written near enough the same post myself after my second maternity leave! I hung on for 10 months though which I regret. I should have left sooner as I am now so much better off just doing bank and without all the stress of having a substantive post. This thread has also made life a heck of a lot easier too!

anxiouswaiting · 17/10/2019 12:51

@Fizbo I have also just submitted forms to start bank and am looking at what agencies are around.

I am stuck for a while because of the 3 month rule, can't afford to pay back my maternity so I'll be here till December unless I find another NHS post because bank doesn't count.

I barely slept at all last night and was in tears twice yesterday because of some work e-mails I got to my phone while on my day off. I'm only on my 2nd shift back, feeling this stressed already is a bad sign so I need out!

Buster27 · 17/10/2019 13:58

Well done @Osquito, waiting for the test results is nerve wracking! I got told to brush up on one area but I didn't query it further.

I'm now allowed live on crisp! Bit surprised as I'm not convinced I was that good with the pre-moderated content (phase 1) and haven't been provided with any feedback. Guess I will be getting scolded on slack soon if I'm pants at it Grin

Osquito · 17/10/2019 14:05

@Buster27 Thanks! Oof yes, not looking forward to going on Slack Blush

Congratulations on you passing as well, expect to see you on next month’s thread adding up the £££ Grin

Bemystarlord · 17/10/2019 14:19

Well done @Osquito I’ve just got all my log in through. Went on and did about 4 before getting too scared i would make a mistake and logged off 😂 going to read some bit on wiki and brush up.

You must be doing good @Buster27 or the wouldn't let you live surely :)

Have got Market research interview for people4research next week, has anyone done anything for them before? £50 for 1 hour so good pay.

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 14:26

@bemystarlord yes I did one last Friday afternoon for them, it was really easy. Money hit my bank account Monday afternoon :)

Bemystarlord · 17/10/2019 14:59

@rhij86 ooh great thank you 👍🏻

Onehellofaride · 17/10/2019 15:09

I have just completed my Crisp assessment but I have no idea how long I did it for! I didn’t check time as I expected it to stop me after 30 minutes. I know I pressed the wrong one accidentally for a couple.

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 15:19

Respondent link for a short survey for anyone who has worked in a call centre. $15 payment :)

GoodPlaceJanet · 17/10/2019 15:59

Does anyone here currently work on the Appen Inari project and know how long it could take roughly to get set up with the tool? Thanks

AliciaWhiskers · 17/10/2019 16:27

Hi all - payments on clickworker - it's asking me to put in my European sales tax identification number - what the heck is that?! If I click "no" to commercial/freelance, then it asks for my tax number. Again, what is that?! I'm stuck!

SNISR · 17/10/2019 17:23

@GoodPlaceJanet I've been on innari C for a few months and it took a week or so as far as I can remember.

SNISR · 17/10/2019 17:24

Did a trial on chat-from-home. Was meant to do 50 messages to pass my training. I've done 14 but going to quit here as I don't think this is my type of work unfortunately.
