Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

Just found out I passed Peppermint on Appen! Hooray! It's 10 hours a week but not sure for how long. Good luck to everyone else who took the test!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/10/2019 19:15

Has anyone got a payout from clickworker today? Just wondering when to expect it.

Frenchdoors1 · 16/10/2019 19:31

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

I haven't been paid any of it yet. My last 2 payments from them were.. Weds 2nd Oct and Fri 11th Oct.

Should be soon I would imagine.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/10/2019 19:40

Thanks!

Otterses · 16/10/2019 20:28

Same @Fizbo Smile

Relieved it doesn't start today. I inhaled some ahem... substances at work and don't feel up to reading Appen guidelines!

Thanks for the replies. I've applied for Inari, not heard anything back other than a pending email. So that's Bane & Niffle confirmed, Peppermint & Inari pending. I'll see what comes of any/all of these and figure out what's sensible for me going forward.

prettyretro · 16/10/2019 20:54

Hi signed up to clickworker, I missed out on the Pinterest jobs today can I just ask what it is you have to do for them so I'm prepared if I manage to get one! 😂😂

Otterses · 16/10/2019 20:54

@CatHopeful

That's fabulous news Smile

I know some of you are now earning basically a full wage working from home thanks to these threads.

Anyone doing so can you tell me how much you earn and roughly how many hours and doing what?

I have an Appen project that brings about £300 each month but in top of that I need to make at least £1,000. I am on Crisp but have not dedicated as much to it as I should due to family circumstances but its now what I am hoping will help me through.

I went back to work yesterday after 14 months off for maternity and annual leave. I will be handing in my notice next week as I realise I can't go on in the conditions I have been working.

I am going to do some agency work on the 2 days my son is at nursery and 1 day at the weekend but I really need to earn some big bucks from home. Its going to be tough as my 12 month old doesn't let me get much done and doesn't sleep well but I have no choice.

So anyone who can give me a rough idea what kind of hours I am looking at having to put in that would be really helpful please

Fizbo · 16/10/2019 22:27

@anxiouswaiting you don't happen to work for the NHS do you?

PiggyPokkyFool · 16/10/2019 22:32

Hi @anxiouswaiting - I do online surveys and use 5 different sites. They are not for everyone so start with these - I joined 10 weeks ago and you get a 300SB bonus when you earn 300 points in the first 30 days. I managed it in 3 days. The friend who recommended me got 300 too.

I have done loads of online surveys over the years and these are the best for a quick reward . You get loads of tops up at the end of the month for all the days you hit your daily goal too and then they give you extra points when you hit points levels called Swag Ups. I have earned £265 in 10 weeks just from this site alone.
Good luck.

I need to join in, if that’s okay? I’ll look through the links. Working part time, contract is 16 hours but I can do a lot more hours so my boss kind of relies on me to cover just about everything that pops up. I can’t rely on extra hours though, I really want to build up some more income.

SNISR · 17/10/2019 00:00

So I applied for chat from home last week and their process is so silly! They asked me to Skype message an ID they provided and asked me to tell the coach I need to book for training. The coach then replied back that they need to make a quick Skype call to verify my ID. The available times is from 1AM-4AM 😂

I told I'd set my alarm for 1Am and have my passport ready for the call. Set my alarm, woke up and waiting for 10 mins. I though sod this I'm off to bed!
I woke up the next morning and read the message from 2.30AM asking if I was still online to take the call. That's 1.5 hours later! How is anyone going to stay awake at that time of the morning.

I wonder what country they operate from at the timings is so silly.

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 06:11

Did anyone else completely sleep through the first batch of Bane??

@Moremoneyplease, mystery shop money hit my account overnight, no fees taken. Maybe bacs is the way to go x

@rhij86 Yes, my first job for Appen and I totally missed it! Will we be sent part two if we didn't do part one?

Moremoneyplease · 17/10/2019 07:25

@rhij86 I'll definitely stick with BACS from now on!

Frenchdoors1 · 17/10/2019 07:36

I got the email for Bane around 10-30 last night.
I followed the link with instructions to set up the figure 8 account, then when I had done that I had a look around the rest of it and couldn't see anything else to do (unless there was!!) then just woke up to the email thanking me for doing part one Confused

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 08:01

@Moremoneyplease no idea RE Bane part 2 - I hope so!! I've followed the link on the email and signed up for figure eight this morning, so I hope we get more!

@Frenchdoors1 - how weird! Maybe part 1 was just to sign up? Who knows...

Frenchdoors1 · 17/10/2019 08:07

@rhij86
Yes,maybe it was just to sign up.

I've never done anything like this before so I don't know really.

We'll just have to wait and see now I guess.

CatHopeful · 17/10/2019 08:58

I managed to catch some of the Bane work. I got the email really late, about 10:30pm. I set up the Figure 8 account, then went back to the Bane email and followed the specific job link and that took me to the work. I think all in I did about an hour perhaps a bit less before I had to go to bed. I was so surprised when I got the email today saying the work had all gone.

I've no idea how to check what I earned last night, I'll have to have a poke around the Appen/Figure 8 site. And work out Appen invoicing, even though I only managed about an hour.

TheLolaMontez · 17/10/2019 09:01

I too did a bit of the bane task last night, just one page as I too had to retire to bed. Blush

rhij86 · 17/10/2019 09:16

@CatHopeful an hour is still $14 according to the appen dashboard! I'm assuming the work will come through in batches like that, hopefully quite regularly?

It will be interesting to see whether it's always quite late or whether it will come through at different times

Frenchdoors1 · 17/10/2019 09:38

Looks like I missed the work on Bane then!
Couldn't see the wood for the trees 'n all that!

Moremoneyplease · 17/10/2019 09:53

Ok, just registered on Figure Eight. Hopefully that puts me in the running for Bane part two!

I haven't done any Appen work before, is it similar to the Pinterest stuff on Clickworker or totally different?
