Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

Are you making sure to mark twice (if its an answer that covers two things)?

rhij86 · 16/10/2019 12:51

@Bemystarlord Inari will be the first big thing for me (not for lack of trying!)

I'm doing a lot on clickworkers, Qmee, prolific, have just had a couple accepted on respondent. I got approved for cloudworkers but haven't heard back yet from them with a start date etc and to be honest if Inari comes through and I start on that I'll decline cloudworkers - it was only a last resort to get some side income.
I've also been doing matched betting but that seems to be drying up. It's difficult to fit it all in with full time work and a 10month old! Confused

theoriginaltms · 16/10/2019 12:59

@rhij86 I have signed up and made an account not sure what to do now tho? Help please sorry

rhij86 · 16/10/2019 13:10

@theoriginaltms is that for clickworkers? You'll need to complete your profile so they know what sort of work you can do. Make sure you can add payment info (paypal?) so you can get paid for what you do :)

Then on the main page there is a tab that says 'all jobs' - this will list any jobs available to you. Just click begin to start one!
They also have an app but I've found the website is better and quicker if you have access to a computer.

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 13:17

Hi everyone,
I too have been accepted for the Inari task! Eek
Need to do the assessment

GoodPlaceJanet · 16/10/2019 13:18

Hello all. I haven't posted in a few months. I've just been accepted on the appen Inari UC project after several months waiting. I'm now waiting for an email about the mobile tool before I can get started.

Does anyone else work on this project? How long did it take you do get started? Thanks.

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 13:35

I've just done the basic assessment for Inari and passed, it says I now need to do a qualification which I've applied for bur haven't got any further so far. Is this what everyone else has experienced?

Bemystarlord · 16/10/2019 13:43

@TheLolaMontez ah fab! I was thinking about you this morning and wondering how you got on :) the qualification i had to do was about 15 multiple choice questions that were based on the guidelines. Once i did those the project appeared in my project list and i can see all the info, just got to wait for the tool.

Did you re-apply to crisp?

@rhij86 i will definitely be dropping cloudworkers now!! It really was a just because i had nothing else thing.

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 14:01

Ah ha, I had a thing in the academy for the project, which I have now completed and can access everything and have a "work this" button! Woop just browsing through everything now.

I did re apply for crisp, I got 20/20 so just waiting again!

Big well done on passing the crisp test @Bemystarlord bet you're well chuffed Grin

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 14:04

Anyone heard any more about the Bane project?

Bemystarlord · 16/10/2019 14:06

@TheLolaMontez yay well done, it looks to be a good little earner, 3 hours a day for 5-7 days a week at $14 ph 😁

Thank you, i’m super happy and will keep fingers crossed they get in touch with you soon. Only thing i did different on my application was increase amount of available hours.

CatHopeful · 16/10/2019 14:07

What's the tactic/how do people with multiple things on the go juggle it all?

Crisp is working well for me. I've been accepted on to Bane and Niffler on Appen and am waiting for those to begin - though it looks like Bane is very close.

I can see the Inari project on Appen and don't know whether to apply or not - I don't want to take too much on and over commit. When they say the tasks are to be completed in 3 hours per day, is that actually how long it will take, or might it take far less time?

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 14:08

Thanks @Bemystarlord Smile I can't recall what I put the first time for the hours available... what did you put?

Yes it should be a good little earner, hope we can get going soon! Grin it will definitely take some pressure off

Moremoneyplease · 16/10/2019 14:13

I've just had my first payment from Mystery Shoppers. The job was worth £12.50 but I received £11.84 into my Paypal because I've been charged 66p in fees. Does anyone know if these are Paypal fees? I don't think I've been charged fees by them for any of my other payments.

rhij86 · 16/10/2019 14:17

@moremoneyplease I've had an email to say they've paid me too. I chose BACS so I'll let you know when the payment comes through. I seem to remember I chose this option as it mentioned fees if paypal was used... once the money hits I'll confirm.

Moremoneyplease · 16/10/2019 14:22

Thanks @rhij86, I just went into my Mystery Shopper account and changed it to BACS! I've done a few calls for them so don't want to pay more fees. Glad to see the payment went through though, I feel happier about signing up for more jobs. The calls were especially easy!

TheLolaMontez · 16/10/2019 14:23

Who do you mystery shop with @Moremoneyplease ?

Bemystarlord · 16/10/2019 14:33

@TheLolaMontez the first tome i put the middle range of hours and the second time i put the maximum (sorry cant remember exactly what they were)

@CatHopeful it sounds to me like it will probably take the 3 hours but obviously someone experienced might know differently. You can do it parts though rather than all in one go just as long as its done before midnight. I guess you could always give it a go and come off if ot doesn't work for you.

Moremoneyplease · 16/10/2019 14:37

@TheLolaMontez www.mystery-shoppers.co.uk/ (sadly I can't find a referral code Grin ) Been signed up for a week or two and done a few jobs. Wanted to check payment went through OK before I did any more.

CatHopeful · 16/10/2019 14:46

@Bemystarlord Doing it parts makes it sound manageable, as does it being on a mobile device, so not chained to the desktop. Are Appen okay about things if you have to come off a project do you know?

Rafiple · 16/10/2019 15:12

What's the tactic/how do people with multiple things on the go juggle it all?
I do it similar to a school timetable! X at 9am, y at this time etc and stick to it religiously

Bemystarlord · 16/10/2019 16:42

@CatHopeful I’m not sure as I’ve not done that before but they are always ending projects themselves!

lannister · 16/10/2019 17:36

@Fridaynightlightss yeah i've been marking more than 1. Done it 6 times now. Still scoring 18. It's driving me insane

lannister · 16/10/2019 17:40

New to clickworker I keep getting the following error message whenever I click on the pinterest jobs:
"No Tasks Available
Thank you for your work! Unfortunately, there are no tasks available at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Note that this is not an issue with the platform. There are other workers currently working on these assignments, but have yet to submit answers. If they do not finish, their work will be released back into the pool. Thanks for your patience and cooperation!"

Is this normal?

Fridaynightlightss · 16/10/2019 18:15

Yes normal! Try and grab jobs in the morning, by afternoon, eveningish time I find most of the pinterest jobs can't be picked up.
