Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

@Fizbo

That's what my email says :) so fingers crossed!

And thank you :) I doubt anything will come of it! Redundancy talk is still rife, and it's not too far a stretch from what I do now, so it seemed daft not to apply Blush on a plus, it was so horrific I'll never complain about an Appen exam again.

@Wolfff I keep looking at Lionbridge but when I went to sign all the paperwork, it just seemed so intrusive, saying they could have access to your email etc so I chickened out.

Wolfff · 13/10/2019 20:59

@Moremoneyplease

That's just bizarre. I started the prices when I applied for Appen - but they were very quick so I didn't pursue it.

I saw an ad for Lionbridge on Mumsnet a while back but one of the screening questions asked if you had worked for Appen etc. I don't want to be kicked off Appen!

I have a long term project but it is tiresome and takes longer than the advertised time. Also not getting anything else apart from one offs. I need more than one project. It's fine when I can work elsewhere like isoftstone but that was a one off.

FloofenHoofen · 13/10/2019 22:21

Hello all, nice to see this thread is still going! Sorry I've been very absent for a while, been extremely busy.
I'm now on four projects. Index, Wouri/Sanaga, Pecwan, and most recently I've been added to Bane Curation.

If anybody is on these projects (or doing exams for these projects) and wants help then let me know. Babe Curation is a very new project so I don't know much about this one just yet.

Well done to everyone making money this month :)

Clickworker pinterest projects are back up. I don't think they load many at the weekend.

Otterses · 14/10/2019 07:16

@MrsWombat Grin I actually really like the Pinterest tasks. Done a couple this morning while waiting for DH to clear out of the bathroom.

Morning all Smile I sold THREE sloths over the weekend on my Etsy store, which is great. I have a feeling the orders on there will pick up towards Christmas. I had better start crocheting at lightning speed 😬 got an appointment this morning so will look at Pinterest projects again later Smile

Bemystarlord · 14/10/2019 08:18

Morning, just had an email through from Sankuru saying there is an extension project for a few days and do i want to do it so that would be good.

Waiting to hear back from crisp after telling them i have read the material and ready for The exam so hopefully hear something today.

@FloofenHoofen I have been accepted on Bane but havent heard anything since it went in my project lists. It just says work will be available soon. Is it the same for you?

Buster27 · 14/10/2019 08:52

Oh nooo. Had the same item come up about a dozen times yesterday (phase 1 pre moderated content), wasn't sure on it so emailed about it and I classified it wrong. So I've done a dozen wrong (plus any different items that were wrong!). Of course it's really obvious once you're told what it should be, so kicking myself for being a numpty. Feel this doesn't bode well as I'm guessing I need to keep a certain level of accuracy to be allowed live.

Buster27 · 14/10/2019 09:26

Sorry I was speaking about Crisp if that wasn't obvious. I think I will focus on some MBing today as Crisp must be giving me high blood pressure by now Grin

Good luck with your exam @Bemystarlord, they respond pretty quickly so I'm sure you'll hear soon. Bane is sitting the same for me.

@TheLolaMontez Yay for the sloth sales! I'm so jealous of you clever creative people, I'm hopeless at anything like that.

TheCanterburyWhales · 14/10/2019 09:30

Checking in.
I have just done a probably naughty thing- frustrated by the fact I've been on Appen with (currently) 21 active processes telling me In Progress since January (!!!) I've opened another Appen account with a different email. We shall see....the worst that can happen is that they tell me I've got 2 accounts and need to amalgamate/choose one but the original one is clearly being ignored by them so....

Anyone noticed Prolific is as dead as a dead thing? Was getting a tenner or so every couple of weeks and now, apart from ONE survey in German (!!!!) nothing since before September. Humph.

Also no answer from Take Note re my query as to whether they received my test transcription or not, so am fecked off with everyone at the moment!

FloofenHoofen · 14/10/2019 10:34

Bemystarlord yeah exactly the same for me as well. Hopefully it'll start up soon. All the projects seem to be taking much longer to start up since they've moved to Appen connect.

Moremoneyplease · 14/10/2019 11:03

@TheCanterburyWhales I like your style! Let us know how it goes with two accounts. I'm in the same boat, had nothing from Appen (or any of the big earners). Pleased to see the Pinterest tasks are back, trying to do a few whilst on a conference call...

Doubl · 14/10/2019 11:05

Anybody work with Lionbridge?
Passed the exam and been accepted to work but only been sent the information for the Supplier Portal, been a few days now.

Bemystarlord · 14/10/2019 11:11

So ive just done the crisp test and im pretty sure ive ballsed it up :(

I pressed the personal information instead of reputation for one, missed several mentions of alcohol and was unsure on a few other and felt like i put no risk for too many 😬😬

I was so nervous because i really want this work and im so annoyed i let the nerves get to me :(

IsolaPribby · 14/10/2019 11:29

Please can someone explain what Crisp is, what is involved, and how you get on it? Thanks

LeaderoftheAteam · 14/10/2019 11:56

Have actually made some sales on ebay! Woooo. Still waiting for the projects I've applied to on Appen and have done £1 worth on Clickworker. How is everyone getting such a high total? 🤔

Buster27 · 14/10/2019 11:58

@Bemystarlord, totally sympathise with you as I felt the same after I did the test. From reading old threads it seems most people felt pretty negative after the test, but the majority passed, so you're definitely not out yet. I hope you hear back soon!

rhij86 · 14/10/2019 13:16

Is anyone else still doing the pinterest stuff on clickworkers? I'm doing a batch here and there between tasks in work but 75% of the time it doesn't seem to register and isn't adding the payment. I know it's not exactly hard but reluctant to carry on if I'm not getting paid!

Bemystarlord · 14/10/2019 13:30

@Buster27 thank you, keeping everything crossed 🤞

Scooople · 14/10/2019 13:36

Is anyone else still doing the pinterest stuff on clickworkers?
Yes it's taking a while to register and click continue but it's eventually doing it (for me at least!)

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 14/10/2019 13:41

I reserved a pinterest task last night and when i try to do it now it says there are no tasks available. Grrr.

Moremoneyplease · 14/10/2019 13:46

Just been kicked off the Pinterest task for 'failing a certain number of test questions.' Aghhh. I was being so careful as well so I don't know where I went wrong. Oh well, onto the next job (mystery shopper task!)

curragh1 · 14/10/2019 13:54

Argh me too, I was being careful too, does anyone know how long the block lasts?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 14/10/2019 13:55

It would help if we could access the training guide lol!
