Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

@seizethecuttlefish
Can I pm you? Smile

seizethecuttlefish · 07/10/2019 16:08

@Frenchdoors1 of course

DontCallMeDarling · 07/10/2019 17:15

@seizethecuttlefish I hear you

Moremoneyplease · 07/10/2019 18:25

@Frenchdoors1 What's enlightly? Is that an app?

Moremoneyplease · 07/10/2019 18:28

@seizethecuttlefish Did you apply to both Appen and Lionbridge? I've only done the Noyo thing for Appen but was too 'scared' to take the tests for Lionbridge in case they somehow knew and I got chucked off bothConfused But I'm now tempted to try Lionbridge as Appen doesn't seem to be 'appening for me...

Frenchdoors1 · 07/10/2019 18:31

@Moremoneyplease
Yes,it was an app but unfortunately it hasn't been going for a few months now. I'm on £1.55, seems to have just finished.

3dogsnorth · 07/10/2019 22:00

Just a quick question on the isoftstone recording project. Finally got paid today but it doesn't say for how many recordings. I got £331 but it says it's up to 30/9. I did another 2400 after that. Did anyone get a second payment?

Buster27 · 07/10/2019 23:02

How are the others who heard back from crisp doing? I did my test today and really think I ballsed it up Blush my mind went to mush! Kicking myself now.

justtheonethen · 08/10/2019 06:01

@3dogsnorth they sent an email saying the second lot would be paid between 11th and 20th October.

justtheonethen · 08/10/2019 06:04

@Buster27 I'm sure you did fine. Do you think you did 60?

00Salix00 · 08/10/2019 06:47

I am a bit late to the start, but I have read a couple of the £10 a day threads but have yet to commit.
I have sold loads on Ebay from November last year. I started clearing out my parents' attic and found lots of my old childhood toys. There's a fair bit of money in vintage toys, and I've made about £2000 selling them and other random bits. Running low on stock now, so I need to look at other avenues now. I might delve into buying to sell on Ebay, but I'll have to look into it more (I would have to change my Ebay account to business, and sort out tax etc).

Matched betting is tempting once I have researched it properly, but does seem self-limiting.

My youngest has just started nursery 3 days a week so I have more time to help earn some extra cash!

Looking forward to getting started properly!

Otterses · 08/10/2019 07:37

@Buster27

What you are feeling is completely normal! I think we were all convinced we'd fucked it up.

They are lovely, I think a few people were told they'd passed, but just to brush up on PR/Customer service/etc.

Let us know how you get on.

Buster27 · 08/10/2019 09:23

@justtheonethen I definitely did well over 60 (thank you to whoever suggesting keeping a tally in a previous thread, otherwise I would probably be doubting myself!), so that's something.

@Otterses hopefully they will put me out of my misery quickly Grin but it is reassuring to know others felt similarly after it. Nothing I can do about it now anyway so will try and stop inbox watching for a response!

MrsWombat · 08/10/2019 10:01

I've just done the EUR15 app testing on Clickworkers. It wasn't too bad and worth the money/time assuming it gets approved!

Ellabella989 · 08/10/2019 10:15

Placemarking. Thanks for all the fantastic tips everyone

Elmosonfire · 08/10/2019 10:38

@Buster27 I have just completed the Crisp assessment too. I’m not sure how that went either!!! The tally chart suggestion was brilliant, thanks so much to whoever suggested that. Will just have to wait and see now! Shock

Buster27 · 08/10/2019 12:07

I passed! Told to brush up on one area (not the one I would have expected so must have missed something).

For anyone taking the test soon, definitely recommend keeping a tally to make sure you do 60. Also try not to rush.. I panicked I wouldn't get enough done after spending what felt like ages on the first few, but you speed through the no risk ones so it's easy to get through more than 60.

Fingers crossed for you @elmosonfire hope you hear soon.

justtheonethen · 08/10/2019 12:18

Well done @Buster27 Smile

Elmosonfire · 08/10/2019 12:21

Congratulations @Buster27! I passed too! So grateful for the recommendations on this thread. Had never heard of Crisp until seeing it here! Now nervous of working on the live system but will start slow and hopefully get the hang of it! Grin

Agree with your advice for the assessment. Tally chart and noting down the time you started was really useful. I also printed out the slides that broke down each category and spread them out on the desk in front of me. They were quite handy to glance at when I was a bit unsure. Good luck to anyone else doing the assessment.

rhij86 · 08/10/2019 12:23

I've just noticed this at the bottom of all the projects I've applied for on appen. Does anyone know what it means - are they basically saying I can't work on a study if I've got open applications for other projects - so I can only apply for one at a time??

Onehellofaride · 08/10/2019 12:40

I’ve received my email and agreement for Crisp so I need to prepare for assessment. Any tips on format or how hard it is? I’ve noted to tally. If you fail can you retake?

Wolfff · 08/10/2019 12:43

@rhij86

No, it means you have to complete the qualifications for that project I think. I have worked in more than one project at a time. It's a standard message by the looks of it.

rhij86 · 08/10/2019 12:56

@Wolfff doh of course! Blush thank you

FridayNightLightss · 08/10/2019 12:59

For those who heard back from crisp recently, how long ago did you apply?

Moremoneyplease · 08/10/2019 13:32

@MrsWombat I just did the EUR15 clickworkers test too (thanks for that, I try to check regularly but hadn't been on the app today!). I see I've got EUR33 balance with them but I can't work out how to get paid! Can you help?
