Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Otterses · 01/10/2019 06:57

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this already because I’ve just discovered this thread, but www.newvistalive.com/Welcome.aspx?returnurl=%2f does market research questionnaires for 50-150 points per time. When you get to 5,000 points you get sent a £50 Amazon voucher.

SNISR · 06/10/2019 09:39

I'm applying for cloudworkers. Going to give it a go and if I don't like it, I'll stop. I'm filling out the application forms they sent me and have a few questions if anyone could kindly help.

  1. What do they mean by trade licence or registration number, what do I write in there? Leave blank?
  1. Certification of purchase tax. Do I also leave this blank?
  1. In the bank details, can I give PayPal details instead as it does state in the email that we we can get paid via PayPal, but doesn't have an option on the form.

Thank you in advance 😊

GachaBread · 06/10/2019 09:42

I'm unsure if it's like Cloudworkers because I'm still in the process of signing up with them. I sent my documents back two weeks ago to them and haven't heard nothing since. It took the whole of September to get to that stage
Chat-from-home have been much more faster. Around a week to get to the stage I am at. I don't really no much about these guys either as website doesn't give away much but I'm hoping that I can make something decent with them and as pay is weekly I'm just crossing my fingers.
Also when asking about their funny times I was told the agent that had been assigned to me was on EST time. I'm not sure what that is but after googling it seems that that's Australian but I could be wrong.
So far so good, everything seems legit so far.

GachaBread · 06/10/2019 09:46

I struggled with that too on the cloudworkers application. I ended up leaving it blank. Sending it back was a nightmare too. I spent ages going to a library to get everything scanned only to realise a day later I have a scanner on my iPhone. Still haven't heard from them .

GachaBread · 06/10/2019 09:48

Sorry just to add their is tabs at the bottom of the Excel document. You click the one stating PayPal then add your details, I struggled to find that too lol

Slaymill · 06/10/2019 10:00

Hello Otterses thanks for the warm welcome.

SNISR · 06/10/2019 10:10

usernamegoeshere · 06/10/2019 12:23

Hi, just wanted to join! I'm trying to pay off debts + save 30k for an extension.... so I'm aiming for £30 per day. My logic being once initial debts are wrapped up we can save the money we'd spend on repayments too! Lots of great ideas in this thread, and thankfully my only real hobby is matched betting so fingers crossed!

SNISR · 06/10/2019 12:35

Welcome @usernamegoeshere

I live your username 😅

Welcome to the newbies! Roll up your sleeves and get earning!
Crisp- you need to tick all possible answers- I failed at first but am now in the waiting list. I found on some I was ticking almost every option.

SnapAndFartAllDayLong · 06/10/2019 15:22

Hi!! Can i jump on this bandwagon?

What's crisp? Can someone point me in the right direction please Grin

justtheonethen · 06/10/2019 21:21

Applelove · 06/10/2019 21:30

Not sure if anyone is interested In the Revolut card?

I received the referral email yesterday.

I joined as I can save my Appen and palfish earnings separate from my main account as I know I'd end up spending it if it is in sight lol.
Also, the currency rate is better, so thought I'll get it to use on holidays too and apparently no transaction fees when used abroad.

Sign up was quick and easy and completed and verified within minutes.

You get £10 if you join and so do I.

Advertising for from home admin and research. It's an actual 'job'. Heard excellent things about this company.

Morning all, how's everyone doing?
I've done a quick tally and since joining this thread mid Sept I've made just under 130 so far, with payments in the pipeline from things like research studies and mystery shopping. Pretty pleased with that! So so glad I found these threads so just want to say thanks again x

Moremoneyplease · 07/10/2019 08:51

@Otterses Just looked up that job, it sounds pretty interesting. But, honestly, companies make me so cross:

"We are looking for someone extremely competent...someone with an aptitude for solving problems and not someone who will give up at the first hurdle. One essential part of this role is to be able to take feedback and adjust a search accordingly."

All for £8.50 an hour. They want the best people but are just not prepared to pay for it. Would it kill them to pay £10 an hour so at least you'd feel like you were slightly valued?!

Wolfff · 07/10/2019 09:08

Yes, I agree. It's just over the minimum wage for a skilled job. Not saying this company are exploitative but with a captive workforce of people who can't work outside the home, there must be temptation to pay as little as they can get away with.

My friend's mum worked at home as a sewing machine operator, sewing clothes for posh stores for a pittance. She couldn't speak English, so couldn't get a normal job. Some of this seems to be the modern day equivalent.

Frenchdoors1 · 07/10/2019 14:01

Looks like Enlightly has finished now. Not had anything for months. Here are my payouts...

seizethecuttlefish · 07/10/2019 14:24

@Moremoneyplease completely agree. I'm banging my head against a brick wall, these days. Not getting anywhere and finding it all a bit frustrating.

Frenchdoors1 · 07/10/2019 14:46

@seizethecuttlefish
I agree with you there.
It is so time consuming too.

How are you getting on with the ones you have applied for, is it a waiting game for you too?

seizethecuttlefish · 07/10/2019 16:01

@Frenchdoors1 I keep failing tests! Failed a mapping one on Lionbridge. It was torture. Failed one on Appen a couple of months ago and just failed Dorian twice. Considering I have a degree and had a really high powered career pre baby, I suspect my brain is mush. Nothing from Crisp but I'm not sure I'm going to EnvyThey seem a bit random with how they recruit.
