Hello veterans and newbies Grin can't believe we're still going a quarter of the way through the year!

I don't know about everyone else, but I've been crap at tracking properly. Obviously I've got invoices to go off, but I'm going to try to be better this month.

Good start this morning! £28 (£18 less my £10 deposit) on a virgin bonanza box, £8 cashback on the virgin deal too. £10.61 Appen work already done today. I most likely won't do any Crisp today, as I've got an essay due Friday I need to crack on with.

£36.31 so far this month.

How's everyone else ticking along?

It is! But if you have a look on the Team Profit website their videos and guides are really user friendly.

WheelyCote · 10/05/2019 12:47

Onlybejoking ive had the speech one through from appen too. Dteen has said no lol which is fair enough.

Are you going to give it a go?

Fizbo · 10/05/2019 12:51

I failed my second attempt at Java yesterday, so annoyed as I took my time and printed out the guidelines next to me. I honestly thought I had really grasped it but obviously not. Still have Truckee to keep me going and going to attempt Crisp again. I read on another forum that Java is a good one to get on so best of luck to any off you taking the test. I've been waiting on Yukon for ages but still at the 'verifying application' stage.

reddA · 10/05/2019 13:00

hmm. So near, yet so far Hmm Still all in progress apart from one which I am qualified for but has no tasks available. Oh well, back to Crisp Grin

WheelyCote · 10/05/2019 13:26

fixbo is yukon and java similar to crispen and appen?

Otterses · 10/05/2019 13:35

@Fizbo Yukon, Java, and Nile are projects on Appen Grin

Otterses · 10/05/2019 13:36

Sorry! That was for @WheelyCote

@Fizbo Java seems like a bit of a ball ache! Do keep trying with Crisp, it's honestly the best of them all so far in my opinion Smile

I have just had my second attempt at Crisp so will wait and see how I score.

Misskitty86 · 10/05/2019 14:10

How long did people wait for their logins for crisp after passing the final assessment? I have all of them sorted other than the one for the main work system and I've been waiting since Tuesday, is that kinda standard? Just want to get started now the weekend is here and the other half can entertain the kids while I do it, Thanks

0htooooodles · 10/05/2019 14:52

@Misskitty86 I'm still waiting for main log in too. She did say she'd follow up via email once everything had been sent. I'll give it till Monday and chase up I think

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 10/05/2019 16:11

Any crispers received their statement yet?

crazygirluk · 10/05/2019 16:17

No statement for me yet either.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 10/05/2019 16:20

Usually 10th isn't it?

crazygirluk · 10/05/2019 16:38

Just seen a message in slack that they're not due until 15th but will start coming on Monday. I thought it was 10th too.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 10/05/2019 17:03

Ffs I need money 🤣

Otterses · 10/05/2019 17:19

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes I think I know what you're getting at Grin more risk free casino than gambling.

So what you need to do, is sign up profit accumulator or similar, print the list of casino offers, then cancel the plan. You have all you need for now. What you have is a list of online gambling sites, and the welcome offers.

Each one, you want to check for the BEST cashback deal. Ie; on Quidco, there was a huge £50 CB deal for a £10 deposit on Gala Bingo (who always have sign up offers for free spins etc.) I'd only ever do an offer where you make profit, or break even on cashback vs deposit.

I try to be really restrained with this and withdraw often. So if I win £30, I withdraw £25, so I retain profit. It's easy to burn through winnings chasing a loss.

I hope that makes sense.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 10/05/2019 18:06

Nope makes no sense at all! Is the money you make cash back then?

mydogisthebest · 10/05/2019 18:12

I only scored 14 on Crisp. I will try retaking it. I assume the questions are the same?

WheelyCote · 10/05/2019 18:45

has anyone used payoneer?

Otterses · 10/05/2019 19:08

@WheelyCote Yes, it's how Appen pay you

@Fizbo This is probably obvious - but are you doing rye Java qualification on your phone? Not your computer.

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes That's okay!

So what you're doing with the cashback is ensuring you always break even, even if you make no money through the 'gambling' element.

So for example, you deposit £10 with Heart Bingo, you get £10 cash-back on an offer you found on Quidco. So you have neither lost, nor won anything. You have £10 cash back to replace the money that has been deposited with Heart, and £10 in Heart to play with. Anything you make on Heart Bingo is profit, or if you don't win anything, you haven't lost anything.

Hi,

I've received my log in for Crisp and for the other things, apart from Wiki which I have chased up. I'm a bit confused tbh, are the other platforms (apart from Versal and Wiki) for training?

WheelyCote · 10/05/2019 20:54

Thanks Otterses

Here's a glass of Wine or two Wine to those that were hoping for payday today from Crisp. I'll have a glass with you Wine.

Keep trying mydog, it took me four attempts.

Sounds exciting Octopus Grin hope your up and running soon

I've had two tasks from Appen but not suitable for me unfortunately.
This evening I've done a few of Appens tests and passed Grin

Also signed up to Fiverr and peopleperhour but i'm not sure anything will come of them. Theyre focused on freelancing work.
Also enlightly.
Set up paypal and the appen payment one (forgot what its called already hahahah)
Also bookmarked all of these pages so I can literally click on the tab and I can open up all the different sites really quickly.

Ive made a couple of quid here and there since yesterday but until its in my bank, i dare not count it in

WheelyCote · 10/05/2019 22:35

Just leaving this list here so i dont forget them. They are similar companies that do the likes of Appen and crisp work

Zen3, Appen, Leapforce, ZeroChaos, iSoftstone, Clickworker, WorkMarket

smurfmonkey · 10/05/2019 23:08

@Octopus37 I haven't found Crisp particularly user friendly to get started!

Slack is the chat and messaging board, you keep that open as you work so the team leaders can contact you if you make a mistake and so you can see what surges are on etc

I keep Versal and Wiki open when I'm working in case I need to double check something, I've found having the profanity acronyms and examples of mild, moderate and severe profanities open when I'm working really useful.

I don't fully get what Humanity is for yet!

BummyKnocker · 10/05/2019 23:23

Hello all, so much good advice here, I'm having trouble keeping up to date!

I managed to do the initial crisp test again and passed it. What is the next step, are there more tests? Those of you starting work, how long was it since you did the first test?
