One of the games i used my free bets on was postponed.. will hill have voided my bets and given me them to use again.

Betfair havent returned my liability?! What do i do?

Is there a CashOut option at Betfair?. Email William hill and ask them if they can re instate your free bets. Worst they can say is no.

it wont let me cash out, it just says I have nothing available to cash out. It wont let me do anything with it at all, just says postponed and its all red.

I am live chatting with betfair now to see what I can do!

they have said that I have to wait - if the game isn't going to be rescheduled in 3 days they will void it, if it is rescheduled then the bet still stands, which means I will have to re instate my bets with will hill, but I bet the odds will probably be different.

this is my first free bet and im feeling a bit put out now!

ah they have sent my liability back, so presumably the match was not rescheduled!

Errr seriously? That would be a really stupid thing to do. If your bet was cancelled at the bookie why would you need to email them, you'd just bet again.

And the worse that can happen is a gubbing!

I've made a bit of a mess today. I've done 3 extra places but couldn't work out why one hadn't settled. Turns out it's for tomorrow. That is quite a lot of liability tied up till tomorrow evening I could have done with!

Placed my free bets and made my first profit. Have just placed 2 more free bets and stand to make the same again. Getting jnto this now. Only signed up to WH so far so lots still to do. I hope i can report back soon saying ive raised my holiday spends!

can anyone tell me what profit I should be making on each £10 free bet? is there an amount I should be aiming for? thanks!

hmm maybe I am doing something wrong then because on my first free bet (£20) I made around £11 -then on my second free bet £20 again, I made around the same.

Should I be going for really high odds? I still don't have much in my bet fair account for liability, which is why I have been going for lower odds.

Should I just let it build up and then go for higher odds each time?

I signed up to team profit and profitsquirrel (free version of both!) and am using profit squirrels oddsmatcher. I don't really want to pay for a subscription at this point in case I don't make it back (or much on top!)

You need to use odds of over 5% on free bets, and aim to make 80% of the value - so £8 on a free £10.

Play with the calculator - odds of 1.2, even if the lay odds are the same, only get you £3 profit. Odds of 5.0 gets you £8 profit.
