Am I missing something....offers such as bore draw refunds, 2nd place refunds etc refund your stake either as cash or a FB if the refund conditions are met e.g. if the match ends 0-0 or your horse is second. The guides say to back and lay these as normal but surely you're better off not doing them at all? If I back a match with £10 and lay it I'm likely to have a qualifying loss of, say 50p. If it ends in a draw I get the £10 stake back so I'd have £9.50. If I didn't do the offer in the first place I'd have the full £10! Obviously a small profit could be made if the odds for the back bet were higher than the lay but that's not that often.

TanselleTooTall · 18/03/2019 22:16

Thanks.
I had another look at Ladbrokes. Having gone over the details again, I think I'm ok. I added together the return of each £5 bet. I hadn't considered this earlier and was getting flustered with the return stake money amount being so low (£27.50) of a single £5 bet. I had totally forgotton about the other three bets (facepalm) - because Ladbrokes give £20 in four £5's.
I'm probably not making much sense!
Anyway, not long now to find out. I'm a worrier.

YesQueen · 18/03/2019 22:47

£410 slots win. I had some free spins from sky Vegas, used them and had £35. Decided to play as I never had the money in the first place IYSWIM, hit £410 and withdrew. Technically not matched betting, more low risk casino I guess Blush

Golden0ldie · 18/03/2019 23:03

Nice one YesQueen.

I did the Betfred welcome casino offer and made a whopping .... drumroll please ... £5.50. Still, it’s £5.50 I didn’t have earlier today!

thefavourite · 18/03/2019 23:25

Great casino wins ladies! I'm so tempted by the Fansbet Guns&Roses offer but it's too high risk for me.

Donkey, I guess they must be +EV if you do enough of them?

😁👍🏻 Yesqueen

Donkey if you back and lay the bet you’ve lost 50p ish but if it comes in you’ve got a free bet so 50p loss but a 10 free bet at + 7.50-8 ish making a profit of 7-7.50

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2019 06:57

Well done Queen

DonkeyScramble · 19/03/2019 07:19

Milton, but how is it an £8 profit when I'd still have £10 if I didn't do the offer?

Miltonroad · 19/03/2019 07:55

😁 it has to come in to make a profit

So back horse at bookies, lay horse at exchange. Loss of 50p

Horse doesn’t come second = loss of 50p

Horse does come second = loss of 50p but free bet gained as well so profit comes from free bet

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2019 10:13

My matchbook refund was there so I’ve withdrawn it as cash.

£15 profit.

LittleLongDog · 19/03/2019 10:55

Help! I’ve messed up!

I’ve only just now noticed the ‘there may not be enough liquidity in the exchange market to place your pay bet’ warning. And when I came to place my lay bet this is what happened.

I’m an idiot. What should I click next?!

LittleLongDog · 19/03/2019 10:56

‘place your lay bet’ is what that should read ^

Also, there should be a screenshot image too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2019 10:59

When’s the event? I’ve had that and it’s matched nearer the time of the event as liquidity increases.

LittleLongDog · 19/03/2019 11:09

That’s good to hear Fluffy! It’s 23/3 so still time left? At the moment I’ve literally abandoned the computer 😂

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2019 11:11

Plenty of time then.

Try and bet as near to the event as possible. It looks more like normal betting & the liquidity’s better.

bringincrazyback · 19/03/2019 12:11

Anyone know of any spreadsheet templates out there for tracking matched betting income/outgoings, perchance? The MB itself is going well, but I'm finding it a nightmare to track everything. Tried setting up a spreadsheet myself but I'm a bit sucky at that kind of thing. lol

LittleLongDog · 19/03/2019 12:47

Thanks Fluffy. I had briefly considered how none of it would look very real but I was just so intent on following the videos step by step (so I wouldn’t mess upHmm).

I’m going to move on to the next offer and try harder!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2019 13:42

The William hill price boost, where is it? I logged n at 12 on desktop and the app but couldn’t see anything.

£19 cashback from heart bingo and virgin games came through today.

Golden0ldie · 19/03/2019 19:30

It’s called Happy Hour, I think, Fluffy. I tried it during Chektenham last week and it wouldn’t give me the advertised boost, I have no idea why.

I’ve signed up for Heart through Quidco and tried my hand at Blackjack. Have wagered a fiver and my £10 desposit is now £11 plus an extra £2 for selecting marketing options after sign-up. Have left the other £5 to wager tomorrow so as it will count towards my Bonanza box (if that’s what it’s called). Quite like Blackjack!

Haven’t done any proper mb this week but will get on horses in next few days. Want to do a few bigger mug bets with 365 to try and increase my free bet offer hext time it comes up. It’s very quiet without the football!

Fairyliz · 20/03/2019 08:41

Am I the only one missing Cheltenham? Really enjoyed last week and the money coming in. Spent an hour yesterday looking around the sites and made the grand sum of £1 on price boosts!

Roll on the Grand National.

thefavourite · 20/03/2019 09:33

I am @Fairyliz. It doesn't help that its international break and the rugby is also finished and its very quiet. I'm going to have to do some new sign-ups to boost the coffers! I've made £32 so far this week which is loads compared to £0 3 months ago but I am hungry for more! I'm thinking about dabbling in the extra places for the golf events this weekend go but the qualifying losses are quite high if it doesn't come off.

I really like blackjack too @Golden0ldie, so need to not play it as its too tempting to keep going!

@LittleLongDog, you're not an idiot! I've got a partially matched bet on Betfair Exch just now. I'm not worried as the game isn't until tomorrow evening so I fully expect it to match between now and then. I will make a note to go back and check it pre-match.

Yes, also missing the action of last week though my head was fried at the time.

Bingo! What rooms am I best to use my free tickets in? Lots of players and bigger prizes or fewer players with small prizes? Feel like I’m throwing them away! My £10 deposit is now £20.05 with the £9 cashback to come sometime. Happy days!

ThePerfect1IThinkNot · 20/03/2019 16:49

Just done a new sign up to Betsafe following the advice given on Oddsmonkey. I’ve come away with £105.70 profit. I did have to bet through £200 and used Jumanji on the recommendation of the Community forum. Well pleased with that.

Golden0ldie · 20/03/2019 17:09

Well done ThePerfect, that’s amazing! Was it a casino offer then? Details needed please!

ThePerfect1IThinkNot · 20/03/2019 17:58

Yes Golden it was a sign up offer. Deposit and wager £25, or £100 or £200 (specified games I did 50p spins on Jumanji) and then they give you 25, 100 or 200 spins on Starburst.
