Hello everyone Grin a new month, and a new thread, and a £280 target to hit!

There aren't song rules, as long as you've made some extra cash. So from eBay to remote jobs to saving money by switching your house insurance provider - it all counts.

There's a list below of the sites mentioned in the previous thread, hopefully I haven't missed too many, but add anything else you think of.

@mydogisthebest there's not always a test with LF Smile it depends on the project you apply for.

Apply to be an agent, then see that projects you can apply for. You can avoid the scarier ones!

Ottersea, thank you for that. I was reading about leapforce on Themoneyshed site and that says you have to take an exam. I will apply and see what happens

Frenchdoors1 · 06/02/2019 20:03

mydogisthebest
Is 'Qmee' alright then? Do you get lots of ppi calls or anything after going on there?

MadeForThis · 06/02/2019 20:10

Thanks Otterseas. Clicked the angelfish link but was screened out

mydogisthebest · 06/02/2019 20:13

Frenchdoors, I have been doing Qmee for around 7 months and not had any ppi calls or any other problems.

Quite a few posters on moneysavingexpert recommended them so I thought I would try. I have the notifications set up and so I get a notification come up if a survey appears. I much prefer it to endless emails.

Frenchdoors1 · 06/02/2019 20:21

Oh that's so reassuring mydogisthebest Thanks.
I'll be signing up to that one then.

CourageCalls · 06/02/2019 20:46

I was on the last thread for a fleeting moment but I've not gotten into the full spirit of the thread and I've only made about £2.48 I think!

I wanted to delurk again to say that I passed the Lionbridge exam Smile

It was very hard, I thought I had failed at times but the study materials really do have all the answers. It took a lot of preparation but so far I think it will be worth it.

All I can say about the work without breaking NDA is that it involves rating results against a specific set of guidelines for each task type. There is still a lot of "non-chargeable" work I am doing which includes reading up on other guidelines for different task types, watching webinars, reviewing "correct answers" and taking the time with tasks to get them right -eg a task that should take 5 minutes can easily take 10 before you're experienced but you can only bill for the 5 minutes.

So at the moment I am working for probably double what I will be able to bill for - but the way I see it, that equates to basically £5 per hour which is more than I'd otherwise be making sat at home in my pants!

One thing I can say about them is they are very supportive, they definitely want you to succeed and will answer any queries promptly.

It's still early days but I'm enjoying it so far.

Spotsbeforemyeyes · 06/02/2019 20:57

Hi there.

I've just found this. Can anyone tell me why all of my offers on OMD are for Stained when I live in Birmingham? Is that something I can change?

MellyPapa · 06/02/2019 21:06

Oh and also after a couple of weeks of the my free share sitting in my 212 account (used a link from thread 1 but can't rememeber whose!) looks like I've finally managed to instruct the sale (by clicking the cross on the right hand side of the share info line) so if anyone wants a free share, please use my link Grin

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £100?

Create a Trading212Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3s8rqR0 and we both get a free share!

margaritasbythesea · 07/02/2019 08:31

I'm still trying to close my account with Trading 212. No news.

I also asked to close with Jisp but they aren't responding either. I would just delete the app but I don't want them keeping my information. Is that silly?

I've just managed to 'make' my £10 today by having a bit of a moan. I bought a load of kitchen roll on Amazon but the box was dented and ripped. The actual kitchen roll was absolutely fine. I went on chat with Amazon to have a moan and they issued a part refund so now I get the kitchen roll and I don't have the inconvenience of trying to post the ripped box back.

margaritasbythesea · 07/02/2019 14:14

I always have a moan to amazon if something is their fault. It is actually quite a faff for me to return something as we live rurally and I have to drive somewhere I wouldn´t usually drive. I tell them this and very often the refund me without having to return the item. This has only been on low-cost items though e.g. some pens I bought the kids where half of them ran out almost immediately. I don´t know if that makes a difference.

reddA · 07/02/2019 14:22

Well done @MellyPapa on passing the exam, I'm plodding through the guidelines but am full of cold and it isn't the most exciting read - hopefully some will stick in my fuzzy head, I'll go through it a few times and write some notes when I have the energy to pick up a pen! I think the fact that so many people fail makes it feel 100x harder Sad

FloofenHoofen · 07/02/2019 14:23

margeritasbythesea here is mine app.respondent.io/r/lisahesketh-2782ff373b11

margaritasbythesea · 07/02/2019 15:01

Thanks Floofen. I've signed up - although I am now panicking that it will jeopardise me being accepted onto the Nile project because I signed in through Facebook. What do you think Otterses?

I applied for Nile a couple of days ago but have not heard anything back. Is this normal?

Spotsbeforemyeyes · 07/02/2019 15:14

Does anyone know how I change the offers I get targeted with on DOSH? My offers are all in shops like over a hundred miles away. My address is correct on my sign up

ChakiraChakra · 07/02/2019 17:03

Plodding on with matched betting. No idea if I'm hitting £10 a day - probably not, but it's motivating me to just keep this in mind and do a bit most days. A nice £23 today.

FloofenHoofen · 07/02/2019 17:19

Is that Nile via Appen margaritabythesea? Thank you by the way :)

Otterses · 07/02/2019 19:25

I'm shattered 😩 !

Was up at 5, did my hour of LF, listed some bits on eBay, went to work, then headed straight out to the shelter. Another really intense evening, so I think it'll be comping when I get in! Any winners yet Wink ?

And £1.75 on gumtree today Grin

I'll catch up on the thread in a bit! Grabbing Nando's for the journey home.
