There's a list below of the sites mentioned in the previous thread, hopefully I haven't missed too many, but add anything else you think of.

Yes Floofen. I'm probably being paranoid.

Bumblebeewine · 07/02/2019 19:58

Totally hit a stump today. My fault really as I'm only doing OMD but there's no new offers today. Haven't researched MB enough to do it and can't find my laptop to apply for Appen- DH doesn't know where he put it when he was moving things in our roomAngry

Otterses · 07/02/2019 20:07

😂 @Bumblebeewine Sounds just like my DH! Are you doing all the free lotteries? That should keep you busy.

OP posts:
FloofenHoofen · 07/02/2019 20:21

I've applied for that too margaritasbythesea so let's see what happens!

Bumblebeewine · 07/02/2019 20:22

Is that under the gambling section @Otterses ?

margaritasbythesea · 07/02/2019 20:38

Oo interesting Floofen. Good luck.

GruffalosOldTrousers · 07/02/2019 21:07

@margaritasbythesea it took about a week for my T212 account to be closed but I got an email today to confirm it has been. I had emailed them twice.
Also, I applied for Nile and another Appen project early this week (or possibly the weekend) but haven't heard anything yet about either.

Thank you to anyone wjo used my postcode lottery link. Before I posted here about it I'd had an email from them saying I'd won a referral prize but wasn't sure it was legit so didn't mention it then. Anyway, turns out it was and I won £100!!
Which is good because otherwise I've been a bit useless this week.

Those who are selling, any tips please? I'm totally rubbish at selling and I don't really know why. Is it worth trying to sell low value items? (I'm considering a car boot sale, but don't know if I can face it). Are clothes better in bundles?

FloofenHoofen · 07/02/2019 21:26

I'm a bit confused, can someone just clarify, Appen is Leapforce isn't it? I've just noticed it being mentioned as if they're separate companies but from what I can see Leapforce is now Appen? Is that correct?

ChakiraChakra · 08/02/2019 01:35

I'm a bit pleased at today's count.
Heart Bingo - £17
MB - £23
Gala Casino - £10

Hello Fellow Money Makers

I took the plunge into Matched betting tonight via the free tutorial on Profit Accumulator. So far, so good...I hope.

Via this tutorial, I have joined Coral, Betfair, Bedfred, and Smarkets. i have placed all my matched bets following the tutorial word for word.

I have a few questions for others who have started MB via Profit Accumulator (PC). @Otterseas have you?

  1. do the betting sites email you to let you know of your profit or loss after the game or do you have to check in?

  2. I am getting concerned about the amount I am holding in the Betfair exchange to cover liability. is is about £80 now. if I decided to pack it all in tomorrow, can I just cash out my 80 quid? i don't understand why we need such high amounts in the exchange. can anyone explain? plus does it ever get eaten up? i have been chucking money in as deposits that I can ill afford, hoping I can get then back one day. Can I????

  3. I followed all the beginner steps via Profit Accumulator and so I now have betting accounts with Coral, Betfair, Betfred, and Smarkets.

To proceed any further. Profit Accumulator want you to subscribe to their 17.99 a month deal. i don't want to!

so, to carry on on our own, do we just keep joining up for free bets and then laying against them? if so, is there a handy oddsmatcher tool and bet calculator tool available for free anywhere or for a small fee.

do some of you do MB without the help of an online calculator tool?

i just want advice beyond the steps I have taken witout having to pay a monthly fee. i am sure I could do it on my own now if I had access to a free oddsmatcher and calculator.

can any of you MBetters advise? i am sure you will be helping many of us stuck at the end of the Profit Accumulator training.

Otterses · 08/02/2019 04:17

@FloofenHoofen it's a weird one! They are technically separate, but Appen own Leapforce. So you can apply to both Leapforce, and Appen Global.

Otterses · 08/02/2019 07:22

So there are only 55 people on this nappy panel I'm doing.

There are 30 vouchers per round, so it looks like I'm in with a 6/11 chance of a voucher win Grin I feel I should at least end up with a tenner!

@BlockRockinBeats

  1. some do, some don't. From memory I think smarkets do, and I think I get push notifications from Coral about my bets. Betfair shoe me push notifications about the in play progress of my bets. I check all accounts I've had activity on in any given day, as I like to take a note of what's in each account.

  2. yes you can just withdraw the £80 any time you like. It will take a few days to reach your bank account. It will go up and down as your bets win either at the exchange or bookie, so where your money is will move around quite a lot (hence my checking each day and I do my own spreadsheet). For this and trying to avoid getting gubbed reasons, we always try to win at the exchange. We don't always manage it and that is normal :)

Please don't invest more than you can afford. Once you're a few days in you can withdraw the amount you initially invested and just play with winnings. It'll be slightly slower but you'll soon build up the money you have to play with (your bankroll) again.

Your liability will be higher than your back bet. Sometimes a lot higher, depending on if you're going for high odds. That's normal. Just play within your range. It's also normal to need to wait for one bet to resolve before being able to have the funds to invest in another bet, especially in the beginning.

I don't want to lose what's turning out to be a wordy reply so I'll continue in a new post...

ChakiraChakra · 08/02/2019 08:33

@BlockRockinBeats

  1. I don't think any of us here have PA paid membership. Switching to Team Profit is your friend! That's completely free (please do support them by clicking through their links when asked to, that's how they get their money, doesn't cost you a thing) and has guides galore and basic calculators. Their Facebook group is excellent for answering questions, and you get daily tips on deals to go for and how to do them. Everything about them is very good in my opinion. I still decided to go for the Odds Monkey subscription @ £17.99 a month, and it's been an amazing tool, it takes the legwork out of finding a good match, calculates four different scenarios and will even place your lay bets for you. I find it easily with its weight in gold and I only use a tiny percentage of what's available on there. Now you don't have to pay for membership to OM. You can stick with the team profit kit which will take you longer and you won't
ChakiraChakra · 08/02/2019 08:37

Sorry, hit post by accident!

I was saying, you won't necessarily get the best matches and therefore profit if you work without a matcher tool like OM. But you can still successfully do it using TP tools and support.

OM have a free version, which gives you access to two matches per day. They also have a £1, 7 day trial of the full tools etc via TP. You could always try that as and when you think it might be beneficial to you.

Hope that all helps :)

FloofenHoofen · 08/02/2019 09:08

Otterses I have no idea if I've applied to both or one
Grin
I just went through Appen's website and joined up. I've applied for some of the projects and awaiting to see if I qualify.

reddA · 08/02/2019 09:11

Agree with ChakiraChakra, I use oddsmonkey and it's definitely worth the subscription

mydogisthebest · 08/02/2019 09:31

I am filling in the form for Appen and where it asks if you have previous experience as a web search evaluator is it ok to say "no"?

Do you all have experience? I don't and don't want to lie but will that straight away rule me out?

namechangedforanon · 08/02/2019 12:52

So I did the heart bingo through coupon arbitrage

  • £15 cashback from them .

Wagered £10 on blackjack as the offer trigger and won £18
Have free spins and free bingo tickets worth £50 now to use !

£23 profit

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 08/02/2019 13:30

Woohoo, i've been accepted for Appen and project Nile, i'm so excited!
Just waiting for them to check my paperwork then i can start.

Thanks so much Otterses for letting us know about it. I've been a SAHM for nearly 8 years so will be awesome to have an income, no matter how small!

duffed · 08/02/2019 13:31

i'm having fairly good success with swagbucks today - tons of surveys, cashpoint grabs etc and pays in gift cards (including paypal) here's a lovely referral link
www.swagbucks.com/p/register?rb=50297887

BUT MSE are currently doing a free £10 worth of points offer with them if you get to 700SB points (£5 worth), www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/swagbucks/#51143 i got this in an evening through surveys - must be easier if you are shopping online or use any offers though

BlockRockinBeats · 08/02/2019 13:37

@ChakiraChakra

Thank you sooooo very much your very comprehensive and helpful reply. I am so grateful to you for taking all that time to answer all of my questions in such detail. I think I have now got my head round it now and what I need to do next.

So, as I understand it, the ££ liability that we have to hold in the exchange to cover lay bets is an initial out lay, which we can replace with our winnings in time. Is that correct? So slowly I will get it back.

I will have a look at team Profit and Oddsmonkey later today. Thanks for the recommendations.

@ChakiraChakra

Please can you tell me how long you have been MB for? Have you made a decent amount? So you place a bet every day or more? Just trying to get an idea of how much time people devote to it for the returns they make.

Please can you explain what 'gubbed' means. I take it means getting chucked off a betting site, but why? I am using Betfair as my exchange. Could I use another company if I got chucked out? Any recommendations? How do I avoid being gubbed?

So many questions. Sorry. You have been incredibly helpful so far. I really appreciate it. Hopefully, I can pay it back to another MB newbie in time!

BlockRockinBeats · 08/02/2019 13:38

Sorry about the bold. Not sure how that happened.
