namechangedforanon · 08/02/2019 14:36

Yes you seem to be understanding the MB

Gubbed is usually just being restricted from doing offers .

If you are going to matched bet I beg you to follow the OM or team profit guide and join the fb communities rather than go it alone !

Trading 212 !

Finally the money cleared into my account seems to take a few days !

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to ‎£ 100?

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ikPmfj and we both get a free share!

That's okay, we all need help, especially in the beginning. Maybe if you go to sign up to a new bookie/vashback site/bingo you might ask me if I have a referral code or something Wink

So, as I understand it, the ££ liability that we have to hold in the exchange to cover lay bets is an initial out lay, which we can replace with our winnings in time. Is that correct? So slowly I will get it back.

Yes. I started off with £80, and once I had made £80 profit (so my total balance in exchange and all bookies was £160) I withdrew £80, so all the money I was now playing with was profit, and even if I cocked up horrendously, I couldn't then loose any of my own money IYSWIM. In reality it was a bit more complicated than that but in broad terms that's what happened. I was putting in and out money from my own bank account often, moving money from bookie back to exchange, and occasionally from exchange to bookie, which all couldn't be done directly so had to go via my bank account - All the more reason to keep good records.

I have been doing MB since 21st Jan and made just short of £200. Progress was slower than others on here because I had a whole year of accounts tax return to be doing, and I lost my darn bank card, and had to wait for a replacement. Now I'm aiming for 30-45 mins in the morning, 1-2hrs in the evening 4-6 days a week. I'm still taking it very slow and steady.

I got my first gubbing this morning too! Being gubbed means the bookie refuses to give you any new offers, making it impossible for you to use the account for matched betting. It's a fair cop, bookies don't like winners, and although what we are doing is legal, they don't have to like us making money out of them Wink it's all part of MB and anybody MBing enough for long enough will get to the point where profit dries up because most or all of their bookie accounts are gubbed. Betfair and Smarkets are exchanges, and they're cool with us doing MB because their money is made on commission, so no worries about betfair gubbing you.

We can pretend to be "mug" punters in our being patterns to delay getting gubbed - there are loads of videos on you tube discussing if it works at all. I'm not experienced enough to say much about it - I was surprised at my gubbing, because to me my activity with that bookie looked very normal, I'd done some of the things we are told to do to look like a mug punter, like deposit more than the free bet, been careful trying not to win too much on back bets, bet on one sport and nothing obscure, and I hadn't made any money out of them (I'd made it on the exchange) but... win some lose some.

ChakiraChakra · 08/02/2019 14:47

I really do recommend getting on to Team Profit and working through their video guides.

FloofenHoofen · 08/02/2019 14:53

I've had a fair few pop up. I think its to do with the profile section.

I've also got an interview on respondent next week for cleaning products, it pays well!

margaritasbythesea · 08/02/2019 18:20

Let us know how it goes Floofen. I bought myself a webcam today to get ready, but then had to spend the afternoon trying to fix the sound on my computer Confused

I know, it's my first one and I'm taking it in good cheer really 😁

Haven't signed up to skybet yet. Been busy on the casino sign ups!

misstiggiwinkle · 08/02/2019 20:06

@Otterses superstar, thank you!

FloofenHoofen · 08/02/2019 20:41

I had a test call earlier margaritasbythesea and all I'll say is make sure the short survey you do before to qualify is honest and true.
They will ask you the questions again to screen your answers before giving you the interview. Thankfully I was only 1 point out, I think I put down Cif as a cleaning product and then forgot to mention it on the test call 🤔

I think I need to buy some headphones if I'm gonna do this often, I can imagine there being static and things being picked up otherwise.

I will keep you updated as to how the interview goes, it's at a very awkward time for me (just before school pick up) so I'm hoping its quick and done with.

Otterses · 09/02/2019 05:34

@namechangedforanon it's really useful Smile thank you for sharing.

I think it's because I basically live in the arse end of nowhere, but I never seem to get anything on the apps. Certainly going to be taking up mystery shopping when we move though and are hopefully closer to a city.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere?? But if you manage to get on the Royal Mail research panel it's fab as you get paid in stamps (useful for entering postal competitions Smile). I've done it for a number of years and it's really quite easy. Although you aren't always on - so might be 6 months on 6 off. Also spaces can fill up quickly but they do keep you on file.

@Otterses and those that do LF/Appen. I have just been accepted and about to start my first Nile project. What's the best way for tracing everything? Just a spreadsheet or do you recommend a particular time sheet? Do you just keep a folder with screenshots of start time and end time? Thanks so much

misstiggiwinkle · 09/02/2019 10:10

*tracing - tracking

misstiggiwinkle · 09/02/2019 10:33

Also do you submit an invoice each day or just on the 1st of month for the whole of the previous month?

FloofenHoofen · 09/02/2019 11:48

misstiggiwinkle I read somewhere that someone just wrote their start time and finish time down on a notepad next to them. It's probably worth a google! I hear there is an app for chrome that will track your time for you.
