Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

PA probably has some algorithm so if your new you see the tests first, it was the same for me.

gonegnome · 28/01/2019 19:20

I got one on PA today that wouldn't load then finished another and the link to submit crashed. Grr! The site's been on and off all day too. Weird as I got nearly £15 last monday alone!

mamaslave18 · 28/01/2019 19:20

Has anybody else used 20 cogs? I followed a link to it on one of the survey sites. I’ve made twenty quo’s but now I’ve realised I need £50 before I can withdraw anything 😫

namechangedforanon · 28/01/2019 19:37

Just to let you know re Cleo if people use your link and don't finish sign up you can see their full name .

I can see 2 peoples names as pending !

If you aren't comfortable having your name shared make sure to do it quickly

Otterses · 28/01/2019 19:37

@mamaslave18 I've honestly really not heard good things about 20 Cogs.

Is it that you've basically gotten 'stuck' because you need to put cash in to complete an offer?

OP posts:
Otterses · 28/01/2019 19:39

Should say - £10.61 LF and £45 from Trading 212. Decided to keep two shares and see what happens Smile

On you can actually see the name of your successful referral too

boringlyboring · 28/01/2019 19:49

Oh dear namechangedforanon thanks for letting us know. I clicked a link earlier, but decided to read more into it before registering. I can’t remember if I got as far as my details though!

mamaslave18 · 28/01/2019 19:51

I’ve spent £20 on gala bingo to get £20 but I won’t join any other offers that make more than a few pounds. It would take months to earn the £50 I need to cash out.

namechangedforanon · 28/01/2019 20:04

Yes boring you might be one of the people sat in pending on my list hah !

Well at least we are aware of it now and people are informed xx

Otterses · 28/01/2019 20:32

@mamaslave18 Sad I'm sure if you keep at it, you'll get there.

I'd really recommend oh my dosh, really similar to 20 Cogs - but easier, and I think the minimum cash out is £10. Can take a while to confirm and get paid, but they have 'lightening' deals where you get paid straight away. May be worth looking at?

Otterses · 28/01/2019 20:35

Shock I've just seen the weather forecast! Highly unlikely I'll be getting into work this week, even more unlikely DS's nursery will open.

Yay! Extra money making days Grin

ChakiraChakra · 28/01/2019 20:41

@namechangedforanon I'll be the other person pending 😁 I clicked, realised it was a messenger budgeting app, and am I right in thinking they'd get access to see all my bank account transactions? And feed that info into messenger? I'm just not comfortable with two organisations that aren't my bank having all that info abut me, so I bailed.

2ellenor2 · 28/01/2019 20:49

Is anyone able to tell me a bit about how they learnt trading 212

ChakiraChakra · 28/01/2019 20:54

Not so much learnt trading212, 2ellenor2. More, followed a referral link, got share, cashed out. I strongly recommend NOT trading shares, even the app tells you 80% of the time your money is lost.

2ellenor2 · 28/01/2019 20:56

Did you just invest in a random share?

ChakiraChakra · 28/01/2019 20:59

No. I signed up via a link somebody upthread posted, deposited £1, waited an ice age or two three days, free share appeared, waited another three days, sold share, withdrew all the money :)

SplitEndsBushyEyebrows · 28/01/2019 21:44

Evening!

Remember to cancel your 212 account after withdrawing shares as they apply inactivity charges! Just go on the chat and ask to close your account.

I think I used someone’s link to cleo, didn’t work properly so I’m unsubscribing/cancelling.

Still haven’t properly started MB, I’m wondering if I’ll have the time now with LB - I’m going to need to use all my free time on that I think. Not sure I’ll stick it out for the whole year though.

ChakiraChakra · 28/01/2019 21:49

Say what note about inactivity charges?!? 😬

BlockRockinBeats · 28/01/2019 22:25

I read upthread about the highest value cash back offer at the moment being through Galabingo via Quidco

By joining Quidco and then Gala with a new account, depositing £10 and spending that on bets, you get a whopping £50 cash back!

The offer expires in 3 days so you need to be quick to make the most of it.

Once you have joined Gala (via Quidco) and deposited £10, you must use your betting money within 3 days. Also, if you use roulette (the only game I play as am a clueless gambler ), you must not just stick to low risk bests. You must gamble on the number being between 1-12, or 13-24 etc OR simply pick a number eg 4 black. If you bet just 'a red number' or just 'an even number' to win, you bet won't qualify as deemed too low risk. I hope that makes sense! The Quidco page explains it all.

I have just signed up for this offer tonight and have used my bets on 'high risk' roulette, eg just bet on a single number to win. Lost it all, of course! Just waiting for my bets to track back to Quidco ro earn the £50 cashback. Heard it can take up to 24 hours.

Should anyone want to take up this deal, here is my referral link to join Quidco. We will both earn a bonus. Once registered, search for gala bingo offers.

I still can't work out how to take money out of trading 212. My account shows as being worth 35, but only shows I can withdraw 99p. When I try and sell my share it says I don't have enough money to sell it Confused

Is it still that? I've waited at least double that. Thanks. I'm reassured if that is what it sounds like

Otterses · 29/01/2019 07:03

DH and DS had a car accident, thankfully not a scratch on either of them, but I spent most of my night stressing about how (stupid I know) I would have afforded time off work if something landed them both in the hospital.

I switched my life insurance to Beagle Street this morning, and I'm tracking £110 cashback via Quidco! It's actually less than my current policy, and includes £10k with of critical illness cover for children Grin I feel a bit better now.

So if anyone's thinking about it, it's a great amount of cash back for something we should all have anyway.
