Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

I finally worked out how to sell my share! haha. I have a few free ones .I think from people who have clicked the link.( thanks guys) I've sold 4 today and there's another 2 I cannot sell yet. It's at 60 so thumbs up.
I made 20 yesterday from MB and another 25 today . I had a spare 4 quid in one of the online betting accounts so I used it for a normal bet and managed to win 70 . Well done everyone , keep it up 😁👍

I have just signed up to another survey site, called Respondent, that pays extremely well. They carry out surveys remotely via your phone or pc. Rewards are in dollars and start at $20 and some go over $100!

I have applied to take part in about five projects so far and will find out soon if I have been approved. Two easy sounding ones are about internet banking and washing powder.

If you use my referral link, I will get a bonus when you complete your first survey. You will then get a referral link to earn your own bonuses.

Referral Link
Share your personal referral link to earn $20 as soon as one individual you refer participates in a study.

BlockRockinBeats · 30/01/2019 00:41

On the Respondent survey site I linked above, you can also earn great bonuses for referring others to complete surveys.

For example

Hey! I recently signed up to Respondent where you get paid for participating in research studies. I thought you might be a good fit for a research study that is titled: Seeking managers in the Retail sector You'll get paid $100.00 for 45 minute(s) for participating! Use this link to see more information and apply: app.respondent.io/projects/view/5c45ae30360073002b220198/seeking-managers-in-the-retail-sector/minkymoorside-256f9aa8cfe5

This task is paid $100 dollars if you are chosen to participate and I will get a $50 bonus!

Take a look.

BlockRockinBeats · 30/01/2019 03:21

I have come across another research site:

www.callforparticipants.com/browse

It is university students doing online research for their studies. Some are paid in cash, others by voucher, some by prize draw, or some for the simple gratification of having helped a student out. You don't have to join, you just select the research you are eligible for.

I wasn't eligible for anything as yet but DH was! He completed a survey about male preferences towards females. The award was £5 cash. Survey took about ten minutes. Not had the cash yet but it is late.

I have been lurking for a bit and started in earnest on Sunday. So far I have :
£39 from selling via FB
£50 cash back from quidco
Started matched betting last night and should have made £3 profit - I am finding matched betting quite daunting so any advice would be great!

namechangedforanon · 30/01/2019 06:38

I would say if you're doing matched betting you NEED to do the guides ( I did team profit ) as it walks you through every single step of each bet

GrabbyMcGrabby · 30/01/2019 07:48

placemarking for later. Great idea OP!

ChakiraChakra · 30/01/2019 09:06

@Johnluthersvolvo welcome to matched betting! If you search mumsnet you'll find the current MB thread, join us over there 😁

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 30/01/2019 09:07

Everyone is doing so well!

I've made £7.50 on prolific (not getting many surveys even with "about me" up to date - maybe that is the problem?)

£10 on eBay. And DH has given me some old Apple stuff to sell, and I've got loads of maternity and baby clothes I could sell too... just need to get my act together.

About £30 on oh my dosh but I don't want to do any of the other offers available at the moment - the betting ones seem to require quite big deposit.

£3 on Shutterstock and Adobe stock - but I like taking photos so it isn't really work and hopefully when I have more/better pics uploaded I should be making a better income. My aim is to upload 1000 photos over the year and make a few hundred pounds of income.

So just over £50 - not bad but not really £10 a day...

Have given up on lionbridge and leap force as "too much like work" - am going back to my day job after maternity leave and don't want to feel like I'm working rather than being with my baby - and still a bit nervous of matched betting so will leave for now.

We have been saving though - found a new and cheaper broadband deal, trying to spend less on shopping etc. And doing dry January with DH has saved a bit on alcohol...

namechangedforanon · 30/01/2019 09:14

Don't be nervous of matched betting, I was 🤣

I joined the fb group and watched all of the videos about 8 times before I got moving with it !

I was the biggest nervous Nellie !

Prolific - I've cashed out £11 from doing it here and there for the last two weeks which isn't bad - hasn't appeared in my PayPal yet but says it can take up to 5 days

Just got my first trading 212 share cashed £14 but better than nothing !

Here's my link : Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to ‎£ 100?

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/ref/3ikPmfj and we both get a free share!

thenewzealandstory · 30/01/2019 10:11

I'm on day 3 of matched betting and understand some of it but keeping things very basic st the moment and using Oddsmatcher to find out the best bets to try.

I've just discovered a code I can give someone to refer them to Smarkets (betting exchange)

If you'd like to use it you'll get £10 after you've made £20 worth of bets.

Off to watch some more tutorials now!

mydogisthebest · 30/01/2019 11:40

I am trying to get my share but not sure how to do it. I can see where you can deposit funds but how do you get the share?

2ellenor2 · 30/01/2019 14:34

@mydogisbest

Deposit £1 and wait three days and you’ll get it automatically

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 30/01/2019 14:57

Things have been very quiet this week. I haven't reached my £10 the last few days :-(

Must start looking into Oh My Dosh properly. Here is my referral link if anyone would be kind enough to use it ohmydosh.co.uk/validate/refer_a_friend/welcome/199439?keyword=referred

ChakiraChakra · 30/01/2019 15:45

Me neither Spock. £6 assuming cashback comes through on heart bingo (which I'm keeping in and playing daily for further offers so not a guaranteed drawings anyway) yesterday, +£1 on soins today but I've spent more than that on mug bets trying to make my accounts look healthy!

ChakiraChakra · 30/01/2019 15:45

*spins, as in free ones!

BlockRockinBeats · 30/01/2019 16:24

@2ellenor2 I have deposited £1 on Trade212 and have received my shares last weekmbut I have no idea how to cash them in and withdraw. I have emailed them but had no response. Are you able to help me?

2ellenor2 · 30/01/2019 16:27

I have no idea as I’ve only had mine for a day but I’m sure I saw someone upthread have the same issue

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 30/01/2019 16:34

Block, are you on the app or a computer? I'll try to help.

I have my money in bank now, was quite surprised they didn't charge a fee!

ChakiraChakra · 30/01/2019 16:48

Ooh £8 on free spins now 😁

BlockRockinBeats · 30/01/2019 16:57

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

Hi there. I am the app but I can log onto laptop if that is easier?

Thank you.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 30/01/2019 17:10

Block - At the bottom of the screen are 2 little arrows pointing up and down. Click on that.

The next screen should show you your shares. There is a little cross at the top right of each. Click on that.

I think it asks if you are sure you want to close your position. Click ok.

You have sold your share.
