Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

Otterses · 02/01/2019 08:06

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me Smile truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

Hi Spock. I keep doing this and after I say yes ai want to close my share, I keep getting this message 'to sell this equity you need to buy it first'. This is what I don't get. Why do I need to buy it when it is mine already?

I have attached a screenshot. I know it is to early to close the share given to me on 29.1.19 but the one awarded on 24.1.19 should be unlocked.

No response from Trade via Char or email. Very frustrating.

Can I join?
I've braved matched betting, on day 3 now. Blew £10 by accidentally getting BTTS though.
I've also signed up to 212 using one of the links up thread, can't remember whose though!
If anyone else is looking to join please use my link -

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to ‎£ 100?

You're more than welcome @ImagineAllThePeople1 Smile

Making mistakes is all part of matched betting when you're getting to grips with it. That's why cashbavk is always worth checking for - it can mean you don't take as much of a hit when you make mistakes!

January total:
Sold some stuff on Ebay + cashouts from ohmydosh bingo sign-ups: £40.25 after expenses
+
Tax rebate for union subs £189 Shock

Not sure I can keep that up for a year but I'm really happy with it for a month Smile

namechangedforanon · 30/01/2019 22:02

Below mentioning of mug betting - the main sites don't even advise you bother with doing it because people have demonstrated how they expose matched betters.

I've just clicked the most recent OMD link so will have a look at that now :)

I am not doing well with this at all at the moment ( I've paused Match Betting for the past few weeks as I've been super busy 🤣🤯) and also I hammered it quite hard from Nov so need a little break !

Have you joined the facebook groups? I'm in the team profit one and that's helped me with a lot of confusion .

They reminded me that there is Cheltenham Races coming up soon and that is a huge matched betting week so it's good to learn the horse offers before then and build your bank up ! Xx

namechangedforanon · 30/01/2019 22:02

Oooh I'm going to go back and do the Gala one now good reminder !!

Also whilst the gala is open you might as well see if you can get partners involved if you have one .

My DP is going to be starting matched betting tomorrow since I showed him my spreadsheet of returns .

Best way to get set up is probably quite helpful for all our money making exploits 😂

  • separate new email
  • separate bank account like monzo or starling as don't want your main account full of transactions
  • downloads the profit and loss spreadsheets
  • get last pass to remember all your log ins for multiple sites
  • google sheet to keep track

^ I decided to run all my accounts through my matches betting bank account and email :) so it's now a money making account 🤣🤣🤣

2ellenor2 · 31/01/2019 02:22

I’ve not bothered with mug bets. Been doing matched betting since November made £600 only been gubbed once and that was because I bet on a game a few days before it took place (didn’t know u couldn’t do that at the time)

@namechangedforanon
I’ve been advised strongly against that as bookies will notice your partner using the same address and same IP address and you’re both likely to be gubbed

Otterses · 31/01/2019 06:51

@gonegnome that's fantastic Smile I'm sure you can keep it up! We all might have to get a bit creative towards the end of the year, but there's always ideas out there to make extra cash.

It will be lost upthread by now, vut for those of you trying to get hold of trade 212 - I opened up a chat on my app on smartphone, then got on with matxhed betting or whatever on my laptop while I waited to be connected - phone always buzzed when an agent did eventually connect. Hth.

Is anybody doing heart bingo? Any tips? I'm sure somebody upthread said to leave £5 in there so you get offered daily deals, which I have done, and am getting daily free spins and making a little each day :) I've also wagered £5 each day (on blackjack following guidance on online) for 3 days so I've been entered into a weekly "box" game whatever that is on 5th Feb. Blackjack has so far (touch wood) given me winnings of exactly how much I wagered so no loss which has been useful for maintaining my account balance - and with the free spins it is slowly going up :)

2ellenor2 · 31/01/2019 09:05

Total matched betting profits for the month is £284
Decided not to renew my profit accumulator membership as 17.99 a month is a bit steep
Gunna try oddsmonkey £1 for 7 days. All the reload offers are pretty bad I don’t know if that’s just this week or if they’re always like that. Not sure how people can make £1000 a month from matched betting

startingafresh1 · 31/01/2019 10:10

Hello you lovely inspiring people.

I now know that I will be made redundant on Monday. Gutted. I will loose my car and my job, and as I am a director of said company (on paper, have never received any benefit of my directorship), I am unlikely to receive any redundancy despite working there 20 years!

But onwards! I didn't like my job, and I'm trying to see this as an opportunity for a new start.

I've earned a bit on prolific, although it's been very very slow recently.

I've listed 3 items on eBay and Facebook marketplace today after years of never getting round to it. Hope they sell!!

Can anyone give me any steer as to what type of things Leapforce and similar want to see on a CV? I've been a jack of all trades in my job and don't know which skills I should focus on!

mydogisthebest · 31/01/2019 12:42

2ellenor2, thanks for that. I was trying to read back through the thread to see how you all got your shares but just couldn't find the info.

mamaslave18 · 31/01/2019 12:43

Sorry to hear that Startingafresh1 - but sounds like you have a positive attitude to it.

I've started to think Prolifica is a con? I'm at £4.69 and not had any studies all week now. I've got about 5 studies that have not paid out. I know 2 of them submitted before I finished but the others were ok. So I'm not sure what's going on.

I applied to Appen but haven't heard anything.

I'm getting spam phone calls a lot since signing up to all of this stuff though - is anybody else?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 31/01/2019 13:39

I think prolific is ok, i have cashed out £20.88 and it went into my account fine. I'm up to about £8 at the moment. I think it's just a bit slow at the moment.

margaritasbythesea · 31/01/2019 14:15

I read that you get rated by academics on PA and the numbers of surveys you get depends on that. I must have done something wrong as I barely got any. I've deleted my account though as it was a waste of time checking all the time.

Has anyone else had problems downloading the ipsos app Isay? It's su to be good but it won't install on my phone.

2ellenor2 · 31/01/2019 14:19

I’ve just learned about a new app called Jisp (avaliable on App Store) where you complete a checklist of things e.g. add a friend, verify your email, watch a video and you can get a £5 gift card straight away. Took me less than 5 mins to do and I got a £5 Argos gift card

My referral code is 6JMF9M for an extra 50p

Also thanks to PP that posted about respondent.io as I’ve just made $20 doing a simple talk

MrWriter · 31/01/2019 15:43

Hello you briliant ladies, I havent quite finished reading the full thread but have signed up to numeous sites and am investigating MB though I'm not sure I'm brave enough!

I stupidly signed up to the shares without using one of your links, I'm an actual idiot. But heres mine in case anyone wants it

mamaslave18 · 31/01/2019 16:02

Since signing up for all of this stuff I'm getting spam phone calls and now someone is trying to sign into my email Hmm

Otterses · 31/01/2019 16:16

Oh no @mamaslave18 ! I can't say I've had any of that. Are you using a totally separate email for all of this?

@MrWriter Welcome! I'm sure most of us thought we'd never be brave enough for matched betting but I think if you take it slow, and always use cash back, you should ease yourself into it.

@2ellenor2 Sounds interesting! I'll have a look at that one.

@startingafresh1 I'm so sorry it's cold this quickly for you Sad LF if I'm honest, I don't think really mind! They seem to like it if you have a degree, but it's not essential. They just want to know you're a competent and literate person.

Just reposting on here as the thread had dropped off my TIO!
Earned a whole 85p from Prolific. Hmm

MimsyBorogroves · 31/01/2019 18:34

I'm using Plum to save, which isn't earning per se, but it takes small bits of money from my account quite often so I don't notice. I've saved £700 in 6 months, which is amazing!

And sharing my code may mean £25 if 3 people sign up, so it's worth a shot, right? friends.withplum.com/r/xSg8qV

TidaQuel · 31/01/2019 18:47

Can I join? We have a big holiday booked this summer, we’ll flights only so far- need to save for the rest! Also some jobs around the house so looking to save as much as possible.

I’ve done match betting before but a couple of years ago, wouldn’t mind trying again but not sure the best way to restart.

Have just switched energy provider using a referral code on here to get a credit- I now have one to pass onto anyone looking to switch - if you use it, we’ll each get £50 credit - bulb.co.uk/refer/charlottem3768

I’ve also reclaimed the credit from my previous energy supplier £248 and my earnings from TopCashback £125.

Not bad for an evenings work! Now onto listing some bits on eBay! I’ve a ton or more!

misstiggiwinkle · 31/01/2019 18:48

Ok, here's my end of January update -

MB - £395
eBay - £315
Renting out a parking space on my drive - £70
Quidco - £67 (only cottoned on to this after doing most of my MB sign ups Angry)
TopCashback - £1.25
Appen - £5
212 trading - 36
I've also taken in a mon-fri lodger - £750pm

So that's a grand total of c£1650 for January. I'm thrilled. Been lots of work and certain areas won't continue to be so profitable (eBay) but it's a lovely second income!!

Thank you all for being so motivating and having some brilliant ideas. Keep them coming!
