Why are MLMs/ Network Marketing 'businesses' a scam?

Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

I think if a bot finds themselves talking to someone they feel that they have to offer them the opportunity regardless. Otherwise they'd be thinking "what if they'd said yes/what if they are looking for a way out of their existing career/what if they're looking for an opportunity for their sister/what if they could introduce me to X ...and so on.

They never switch off looking for their next victim

It's sheer desperation

I know a lot of bots have a particular ‘look’ that they do in selfies (Yawn’s is identical in every post, huge head shot with everything else in the background - or full body shot taken by someone else to show off clothes in a very specific pose)

Poor Homeschool, however much I hate her FL vileness I wouldn’t wish a sick baby in hospital on anyone. DS was in intensive care for the first week of his life and it was so hard.

Any quick way to find Roomie? I followed her and Yawn in Dallas, know who she is, recognise her face in Yawn's old pics but can't see her name anywhere and have forgotten it (she's been un-tagged from everything)! Have even had a look on Amazon but can't see her anywhere. Which category was she in?

Oh God. One of my very best and oldest friends has just signed up to Arbonne.

We live in different countries now but she is in $10,000 debt and has just paid $1,000 to Arbonne for a starter product pack. And now she wants me to join in too.

What do I say to her? She thinks Arbonne will be her mealticket, get her out of debt, lay the foundations to start her own interior design business, and to quit her job so she can be a flexi-working part-time Arbonne consultant/part time interior designer/ and SAHM....

I hope you didn't get a hard time from your upline for quitting. I can also imagine some uplines wouldn't have been as sympathetic as yours.

I've lost roomy too. And as much as I'd like to nose at her posts again I think it's a stark reminder of how quickly the pyramid can crumble and you find yourself cut off and in the cold.

I can only see Roomie’s author page and I can’t see any posts on there for a few days. Has she seen the light?

I find adding pics of myself in a bikini and selfies with my husband the best way to make a complaint on social media. That is exactly how a “professional business lady” would act.

I was thinking exactly the same re the bikini pics.
I can’t figure it out- she’s slagged them off to high heaven but expects to be welcomed back with freebies to boot and threatens to take her business elsewhere. I’m sure they’re not that bothered. And then all her cronies jump in to defend her.

No, no hard time from the upline but this was a long time ago. I would imagine that things have changed since those days. My bot experience was before everyone had the internet/mobiles so it was easier to slope off unnoticed :)
