MLM Bot Watch 42

This is the 42nd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Nice succinct sum up - thanks for setting up new thread

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:16

not as detailed and focused as @Whiterangey 's last thread but I did my best!

🤣🤣🤣🤣

SSDGM · 18/08/2018 12:21

My hope is any MLMbots that do now find their way here will possibly see the truth in what we say and admit to themselves that they don’t have their own “bizzniz”, that MLM is a cult and that how faking it until you make it and sharing every minutae of your life on social media will result in disaster.

Broke is telling everyone how his “opportunity” paid for a day at the fair with his kids. Because people with proper jobs can’t afford that. Ever. 🙄

Paddy1234 · 18/08/2018 12:24

Education is the key here - if we can as a minimum encourage people not to put there life out there for all to see and change there profiles to private - it still astonishes me that the person in question still has a public profile - everyone go PRIVATE.

leasedaudi · 18/08/2018 12:25

Here's a question that's been simmering in my mind but I'm not sure how to ask.

I follow a nutritionist / health and fitness lady who is initially bought a fitness e-book from.

In the last few months she's changed direction from health/fitness to something mindfulness-like. I can't work out whether she's a little MLM-y or if she's just selling a load of words for a lot of money. There's nothing concrete she actually does, just loads of motivational calls and discussions.

What do you think? She charges big bucks.

I guess there's no recruitment, but there's something very odd about it for me.

Yeah, Yawn, I’m afraid it’s physically impossible to burn 3lbs of fat in a day unless you used 10,500 calories at the gym. It is water you’re losing.

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:31

As with everything in life, education and knowledge helps to expose the truth.

Forever Living will not release their income disclosure statement, wonder why? If you look at Arbonne's it makes sobering reading as it shows how very poorly the vast majority of 'business' owners actually do.

For any new followers and posters (eg @SamanthaJib85 ), please do go and read other pages such as:

botwatch.blog

timelessvie.wordpress.com/

ellebeaublog.com/

there is some really good work being done by the people running those sites, including rel life stories from victims of MLMs

@leasedaudi that sounds like either Isagenix or Thrive. The “hormone balancing and gut resetting” is familiar.

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:33

@leasedaudi

the language sounds like MLM but it might just be her monetising weekly motivational phone calls/ lives

OP posts:
leasedaudi · 18/08/2018 12:34

Thanks @SSDGM .. it certainly reads like a scam to me

leasedaudi · 18/08/2018 12:34

@Spongebobette and half of me thinks this too. It's like an MLM without the pyramid. Just being paid to say nice words to people..

ArbunneHun · 18/08/2018 12:36

Hi hi hiiiiiiiiii!

Gosh, that was quite the flurry. Lovely to see the completely irrational name-calling and threats of violence against members of Mumsnet on someone’s profile yesterday: what a charming bunch of people. MLM clearly attracts the most reasonable and pleasant people... no wonder the industry has such a terrible reputation.

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:40

LOL we could all do that!

OP posts:
SSDGM · 18/08/2018 12:40

Yes. Super professional bizniz women, aren’t they?

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:41

sorry, reply was to @leasdedaudi

OP posts:
SamanthaJib85 · 18/08/2018 12:46

Lol the same threatening absue you lot have done to innocent children and someone who's done sod all to you. All got something to say nasty about others but can't take getting it back. Victims are everywhere but then I guess you're the type to blame a victim for being stabbed for being outside at night.. going out your way to cause problems. Carry on your little thread it's pathetic. You all lead sad miserable lives doing this. The language sounds like MLM yet were all here speaking English .are my grest grandparents MLM lol As I say carry on as you are. Leading real great lives stalking people to talk about them. Lower school play. Carry on

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:46

One of the reasons that Cancelled Holiday bot was featured on here, by the way, was because her story is a very good illustration of how MLMs work; she thought she had her own business and was doing really well in it (Ariix) and then, with no warning, she was terminated by the company. It doesn't matter why, the point is that she never actually owned her own business, she was at the mercy of the company and everything could be taken away from her instantly. You are not a business owner in an MLM, and worse than that you have no employment rights ( as she discovered). Also no sickness pay, maternity leave, pension, holiday, nothing at all. YOU take all the risks for very very little reward. Basically, at best you are an unpaid rep, at worst you are yourself the customer.

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:48

@SamanthaJib85 please do tell us all about the MLM you are in and how it is different from all the others out there?

OP posts:
ArbunneHun · 18/08/2018 12:51

No one on here called anyone names or threatened violence against anyone. We all agreed that cancelling the holiday was a low, mean thing for anyone to do. No one here condoned it or took pleasure in it.

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:54

Today's WTF moment is brought to you by Yawn asking for recommendations for makeup and the posts in response mentioning how some brands test on animals...... SO DOES FOREVER LIVING!!! Otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to sell in China.

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:56

see also; Younique who do not have cruelty free certification (despite what bots claim)

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 13:00

I've had a wee look at the FB posts......it's always fun to see how rapidly the super positive huns with amazing biznesses descend into nastiness and bitchiness, it's like a glimpse behind the facade.

OP posts:
Tw1nsetAndPearls · 18/08/2018 13:02

Sacked has posted about MN on here, claimed that there are more than 40 threads bullying her and her children

SamanthaJib85 · 18/08/2018 13:04

I read the conversation and it clearly showed it was a fun thing to discuss and take action on! You can keep repeating yourself being incorrect and I can keep repeating and correcting but it's clear you're all in your own spiteful world and anyone who doesn't agree with you is wrong. As I said what you're all doing is so wrong on so many levels. I won't be responding anymore after reading such vile bs
