I did a bit of mandatory training at work the other day on recognising abuse and there was a bit on financial abuse and grooming. I was really struck how MLMs fit the description of financial abusers and groomers. I'd love to explore this further.

I believe that some MLM tactics could potentially fall under the umbrella of financial abuse.
If someone considered vulnerable was strong armed into parting with money to join "an opportunity" and they didn't have capacity to understand what they were getting themselves into.
However it may be hard to prove that an MLM did this intentionally as why would a rep have knowledge of this?
