ExpatMrs · 08/04/2017 15:59

Just came across a good few MNers talking about it on another thread. I don't even know what it is but from the jist of the convo, there's good money to be made from having a couple of hours a day to do it... I have those hours!!
Can anyone enlighten me please?

maid to start, you'lll be doing the new customer offers so you'll be signing up with lots of different bookies and taking their free bets

BeeFarseer · 08/04/2017 18:12

I got gubbed from Coral almost immediately, the gits. I still have an account but I'm no longer allowed access to offers.

Arbitrage scares me a bit.

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 18:17

Arbs scare me too! And I don't do bingo unless it's free.

Love the other casino ones. I've wasted hours on them Grin

CherryChapstik · 08/04/2017 18:41

Wood hill - there are no losses, it's isn't gambling. It's matched betting .. if you get addicted or excited then you're gambling. You lay off the bet so there is zero risk

Bingo offers are slightly different of course but you are more or less guaranteed to come out on top overall

bblondemoment · 08/04/2017 18:46

So strawberry (sorry everyone for the eight billion questions) in order to maximise quicker returns do you place a larger amount of you're initial start pot eg £50 instead of £5?
I promise I have read and watched the videos this afternoon but at my age I need to do things a few times for them to sink in Blush

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 19:18

strawberry I was thinking of taking it very slowly! I haven't got past my first theoretical bet yet Grin

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 19:21

As far as I understand, the bigger start pot allows you make your second bet - using the free bet - at much longer odds. Long odds give you a greater liability in your lay bet account and you'll need money there to cover that payout if you lose there (as opposed to losing on your free back bet, which you don't need to cover with spare cash).

MrsWombat · 08/04/2017 19:27

What I've done so far is:
Signed up to Betfair via Topcashback and will hopefully get £7.50 cashback.
Signed up to Coral via PA then realised that their £5 free bet offer isn't working today. Cried. Put on my usual £5 grand national bet and lost. Cried again.
Signed up to Betfred via PA and did their bet £10 get £30 in free bets offer. Did a matched £10 bet on a football match this afternoon using Betfair for the lay. Did it wrong but realised my mistake, did another bet to rectify it and somehow ended up 68p in profit. Currently waiting for the £30 in free bets which can take up to 48 hours.
Signed up to Betdaq as another lay, so I could take advantage of the Betfair Sports place a £20 bet and get a £20 free bet offer. The match is tomorrow so hopefully I've done it right!

woodhill · 08/04/2017 19:34

What's the catch. Do you use lots of different emails and aliases. Get gubbed - Sussed?

RainbowHash · 08/04/2017 19:37

I've been doing it since October but taking it slowly (I'm still making my way through sign up offers). Made £550 profit so far, but could have been more if I spent more time on it.

I pay a monthly subscription to Odds Monkey where there are calculators, good training guides, a daily offer calendar and a really helpful forum. It's definitely worth it for me and would recommend it. It's a great way to earn some extra dosh and I'm hoping to pay off debts with it.

But just make sure you don't do any normal bets for the fun of it. The odds are tempting sometimes but that's when it turns into gambling.

GardeningWithDynamite · 08/04/2017 19:39

I'm restarting again (still not done all the signup offers - I'm soooo slow).

Can anybody point me to a good guide about bingo/ casino offers? Are they easy to do?

CherryChapstik · 08/04/2017 19:39

There's no catch and no, you can't use aliases and different email addresses as you often have to provide proof of identity when you open a new account. Some folk will get round this though I'm sure

Just take advantage of offers and that's it really. The people who claim to make a living from it absolutely have to have multiple accounts and be doing every single teeny tiny offer that comes along

I would do about 90 mins a day and I made my 5K in about six or so months. I now do it as and when

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 19:44

Gubbed - being banned by a bookmaker because they realise you only ever exploit free bet offers. The strategy is to occasionally make 'mug' bets - ones that make you look like a regular punter - and basically, let them make some cash off you (you lay the bet so don't come out too far out of pocket).

Dangerismymiddlename · 08/04/2017 20:35

I started in March last year and have made about 12k since then but like anything, the more time you put in, the more you can make. I use Profit Accumulator
here but pop in and out of OddsMonkey too as my DP prefers them. I tend to spend a couple of hours a day with more on Saturdays.
Both PA and OddsMonkey have detailed instructions for casino and bingo offers.

milpool · 08/04/2017 20:41

I did it for a bit last year. Made about £150 in a fortnight or so.

Tbh I decided it wasn't for me as I had to spend nearly every evening on it. And the free bets seemed to dry up after a bit.

I do recommend it though. It is legit and stuff!

noodleaddict · 08/04/2017 22:46

Blatant placemarking, sorry Blush Just started doing transcription work from home and the money is absolute pants for the hours so very much interested in this.

smileygrapefruit · 08/04/2017 22:52

DC were a nightmare at bedtime so I've not got round to it tonight...too tired now and don't want to make a mistake. Although just went on coral website and the sign up offer is back on so will give it a go tomorrow.

Can I ask, those of you that make £100s per month, how long do you spend doing it and how much money do you need to get started?

CalmItKermitt · 08/04/2017 23:38

Right I am definitely going to try this!!

DH and I have a joint bank account but my plan is to open one of my own and use it for MBing!

And then hopefully in a few months surprise him with my winnings 😄😄

Right though. Be honest. How complicated/difficult is it, bearing in mind I'm not the brightest at things like this....?

Dangerismymiddlename · 08/04/2017 23:41

I started with about 100 pounds and built it up from there, it is slow to start with as you have to wait for withdrawals so you can deposit for a new sign up but it does build quickly. I was lucky as started just before Cheltenham last year where there are loads of offers and also the Euros in the summer as without football it can be a bit quiet.

Don't forget to check quidco and top cash back as there are often cash back deals to be had too for sign ups (read the terms carefully though)

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 23:44

I think it's OK. ProfitAccumulator will find the bets, calculate stakes etc, tell you what to put into the bet slip boxes.

In any single beginner transaction, you have to be quick and ready. But not clever.

The clever stuff can come later.

MrsWombat · 09/04/2017 08:08

Just had a thought. Once I've got through the main offers, I might be able to persuade the OH to do the same under his name? Different email, bank account etc.

monkeyfacegrace · 09/04/2017 09:14

Wombat, you may be able to, but it could put you at risk of being gubbed as the bookies will see your matching IP addresses and see your patterns. You'd have to be a master at mugs, and stay low. No long odds, no obscure American horse races etc!

I love doing the horse racing as opposed to football. Much quicker and can turn over the cash in minutes. Apart from the one time I did a £200 free bet and won 7 times in a bloody row at the bookies. I had to have over £2k liability in the exchange to get my hands on my winnings after rolling over GrinEnvy (don't let that put you off newbies! You'll know what you're doing by then)

silkybear · 09/04/2017 09:25

I use profit maximiser, its brilliant easy to follow videos and a great facebook thread wih a supportive community who will answer any newbie questions. I paid 100 quid for a years membership and had a 100 quid float, made 500 from that in the first month and approx 3000 in the first year. That is with me doing it on mat leave while my daughter naps, so maybe 30 mins work a day, 5 days a week. I am back at work full time now but still do it some evenings. Made £200 at cheltenham last month in one day off. Its well worth it. Some people do it full time and can make 10-20k easily.

wifeyhun · 09/04/2017 09:29

Those signing up with bookies and casinos, check topcashback and quidco to see if they are on there, I have made hundreds through that alone.

Good luck to all the new match betters, I have been doing it since 2015.

Mrs Wombat most bookies allow partner accounts, some hate it, e.g Betfred!

MrsDesperado · 09/04/2017 09:42

Been thinking about this for a long time but am risk averse.
What happens if you get gubbed before you withdraw your winnings, or if you've got a massive £2000 float in there? You lose it all? Is that the risk?
Also, is it truly sustainable once you've used up all the offers?
