Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook
www.lazymanandmoney.com/is-every-mlm-a-scam
We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work. Flogging the amazing skinny lard and now carbonated lard. The arsenic is not the evil Victorian stuff. #TeamDannii #gettingalardon

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

What did you do with the £600 worth of products Dora? It would take me forever (no pun intended) to get through all that. I'd probably put it on eBay or donate it to a museum.

DoratheExplorer17 · 17/03/2017 08:08

BS I didn't do that but your not with the he family emergency may well. It will either be stored and sold later, used herself, given away or sold back to the company when they resign. It is an awful lot of stock though 😬

DoratheExplorer17 · 17/03/2017 08:10

That's also how you're told you can earn this 'elusive' residual income. They will still have to sell 4CCs of product in order to be paid that income. You can never actually stop working completely. That's garagefuls of stock though to keep buying for the rest of their life!!!

BSintolerant · 17/03/2017 09:09

Ah, sorry Dora I lost the thread a bit there. That is a lot of expensive stock to shift (or shit). But that's how the fuckers at the top of the pyramid make their money.

Spongebobette · 17/03/2017 09:56

Do aloe gel products have sell by/ usd by dates on them?

BSintolerant · 17/03/2017 10:43

I wonder how much of the stored Forever Living products can't be sold on because they contain that substance which was banned two years ago under EC law.

WhenLoveAndCakeCollide · 17/03/2017 19:22

Cozie - BotFriend is 27. Her mum is late 50's, and never been much of a make-up wearer, so my gut tells me most of what she's buying is going to be given away.

acatcalledjohn · 17/03/2017 22:26

I've come across this video on FB which is aimed at millennials, but actually could apply to bots. In fact: anyone who expects something for nothing or looks up to shill bots/uplines and buys in to other people's lifestyle claims could learn something from this video.

It's a little bit a lot sweary.

I've just had a look at the interviewee's website. Looks like she might be a Rodan + Fields bot.

BSintolerant · 17/03/2017 23:42

She's definitely an R+F bot - found her selling site. Oh dear.

Spongebobette · 17/03/2017 23:59

How did you find her?

BSintolerant · 18/03/2017 00:11

She gives her instagram handle out towards the end of the interview. Her personal website is listed on instagram. There are ads for R+F on her website - which led to her R+F site.

acatcalledjohn · 18/03/2017 10:03

Surprise surprise that she is a bot. Who'd have thought...

No surprise the 'fake it 'till you make it' FB posts affect her so profoundly.

She's even more of a dick than I first thought.

Ah right thanks

fitgirl26 · 18/03/2017 10:53

So Top Coffee Bot is now doing Ariiiiiiix and is in a "relationship" with another Ariiiiiiiiiix Bot who also does GCC (Crypto scam). Coffee Bot also seems to be promoting Edinar (Crypto Scam). Ariiiiiiiix Bot is in "partnership" with another Bot who is spending his time slagging off Onecoin (Crypto scam) as it all seems to be going tits up but trying to persuade people to join GCC (Crypto Scam). On the other side you have the SCoin (ex LTW) crowd trying to persuade everyone that their particular Crypto Scam is the best ever. You actually couldn't make it up.

CurlsandCurves · 18/03/2017 13:22

Friend of mine posted on FB this morning asking if anyone had experience of a very expensive beauty product. She wanted to see what people thought of it before investing.

Straight away, one message of 'try my Tropic products, they're fab Hun!'

And another Bodyshop bot offering to give her a free facial!

Got to hand it to them, they don't miss a trick!

cozietoesie · 18/03/2017 13:25

'investing' ?

How much?

DoratheExplorer17 · 18/03/2017 21:13

So top coffee bot has joined Ariix but is banging on about how amaze balls the coffee company is??? Doesn't make sense. Having said that, in the MLM world, Ariix is known for its unethical practices. I know of at least 2 coffee bot people (fact) who have been approached by Ariix senior management and offered a complete downline to join Ariix. Makes me wonder if FLP sapphire bot was offered the same and maybe they've done the same to top coffee bot. I also know that while the coffee conference was on in Milton Keynes a few weeks ago, purely by coincidence (ahem) some of the senior team from Ariix, just happened to be staying in the same hotel that night, and it all kicked off in the evening with a certain Ariix CEO and some coffee bots. Definitely fits the MO of Ariix. They find where top bots from each company will be and book an event at the same time in the same place to try and buy off bots to swap companies. It's all so ridiculous. They probably got to top coffee bot at that event and offered her a massive bribe to move companies. It's the most unethical and fickle industry on the planet!! And it doesn't seem like Ariix can do well without bribing people. But what they don't seem to be able to grasp, is that a person that can be bribed by them, can be bribed by any other company who offers them a better deal.!!!

Annie65 · 18/03/2017 22:53

Good grief Dora its just like they are all living on a different planet than the rest of the human race. I know one of coffee bots downline bots through a family member and she seems to work hard at her "business". She has tried to get my Family member into it but Ive told my relation all about the scams and she has told her she is not interested. I will have to tell my relation about the latest news and see if she can talk to her friend about it.Shock

Annie65 · 18/03/2017 23:20

Oh dear, just read a post on my downline bots fb and it looks like she is totally sucked in at the moment, but it also looks like its kicked off today too between different businesses. Its such a cut throat life they lead, really nasty and horrible by the sound of it and they have the nerve to call us "haters" and "bullies". Dora, if you find anything out pm us hun, thanks.Wink

JaniceBattersby · 18/03/2017 23:36

Crikey. All that bullshitting for £1,200 a month. You'd get more working down the Asda.

Dora can you remind us how many were in your downline? £3,500 sounds like a good haul. Imagine how much Aloe had to be sold stockpiled in bot garages for you to earn that!

cozietoesie · 19/03/2017 00:04

Somebody made an interesting point upthread. Wasn't some date-related kind of moratorium put on sales by one firm due to .......unfortunate ingredients? Presumably, these garage contents would mostly have to be junked then? Oh - and do they have expiry dates on the products?

DoratheExplorer17 · 19/03/2017 08:36

It's a toxic environment to be in definitely!

DoratheExplorer17 · 19/03/2017 09:14

Janice, sadly probably quite a bit. I did always tell people never to buy unless they had a sale. I feel ashamed to be honest that people may well have stockpiled. We all did it to hit that elusive target in order to get paid, if we hadn't sold enough. And everyone ends up in a mess financially. Except the top bots. My income reduced rapidly in the end. To around a quarter of that, due to illness (my own) and downline poaching from other companies. But honestly, despite the stress and pressure of losing that income, it was the best thing that could have happened, because I'm out now.
