Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook
www.lazymanandmoney.com/is-every-mlm-a-scam
We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work. Flogging the amazing skinny lard and now carbonated lard. The arsenic is not the evil Victorian stuff. #TeamDannii #gettingalardon

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

FuckYouDailyMail · 23/02/2017 15:32

Isn't the FL HQ in Milton Keynes as well, that place must be bot central.

Toobusytowee · 23/02/2017 18:29

I didn't persue a rebuttal to that Huff post article because it was a few years old. I'll see if I can do a general piece against MLMs maybe.

cozietoesie · 23/02/2017 18:58

Well done, Toobusy. Smile

Lallypopstick · 23/02/2017 19:47

Urgh I usually lurk on this thread - I'm not on Facebook so thankfully most MLMs have passed me by. But today I was vexed to get an email from my gym inviting me to an 'exclusive' event to learn about Arbonne at a fancy golf club. It feels so tacky that they're involving themselves in this somehow. Needless to say, I deleted but I kind of think it cheapens their brand to be paired with this? Sorry if that sounds snobby.

cozietoesie · 23/02/2017 20:23

It's possibly 'favour for a friend' sort of stuff, done in ignorance of the real nature of MLMs.

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 14:31

Have you spoken to your gym about the matter, Lally?

FuckYouDailyMail · 24/02/2017 15:24

Is it a little bit unreasonable for me to say I miss the visits of the big bots to these threads? Grin

FuckYouDailyMail · 24/02/2017 15:25

I miss Eyes more though.

DayToDayGlobalShit · 24/02/2017 16:05

Well, sadly the Juiceplus convention is going on this weekend in Birmingham and fb already drowning in 'live' feeds. The whoops and claps at every word that is spoken on stage leaves me cringing. Utterly cringing, it is like a cult with followers hanging on to every word. It is almost as bad as watching the north Korean numpty addressing his people.

Lallypopstick · 24/02/2017 18:50

No I haven't cozie - I suppose I'm not sure what I would say that doesn't sound petty!

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 18:53

Just send them a link to Timeless Vie or to botwatchblog. Smile

Toobusytowee · 24/02/2017 19:49

Eyes is still reading these threads and he says he misses you all too.

fitgirl26 · 24/02/2017 20:47

My JP Bot is in Birmingham. The lives are making me want to throw up a bit.

Spongebobette · 24/02/2017 21:32

So so sad

Toobusytowee · 24/02/2017 21:47

That wristband is awful. I bet it wasn't cheap. And it will serve as a constant reminder to keep on slogging her guts out even when it isn't working.

Spongebobette · 24/02/2017 22:10

And it's not even in £

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 22:50

Poor woman.

fitgirl26 · 24/02/2017 23:09

And the Coffee Bots are congregating in Milton Keynes this weekend! EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK

BSintolerant · 24/02/2017 23:31

sponge is the wristband wearer purchasing six figures? Be your own best customer and all that. Wink

DayToDayGlobalShit · 24/02/2017 23:54

Dear God that wristband. I watch these people with equal amounts of horror and fascination. How can they not see what the hell is going on? If I walked into a conference of loud music and whooping I would be straight out the door again. They get sucked into this hysteria. All loving eachother and their teamies. None of them see that they have actually paid a hell of a lot of money to listen to this shit, and they are still paying out all weekend for it. How long will it take for them to recoup that money. Jeez

DoratheExplorer17 · 25/02/2017 09:39

So CB (the big cheques) will be very interesting this year. I know for a fact that one of the UK top bots last year (2015), only just missed 7500 CCs for her final numbers for her cheque. But in 2016 only just scraped 5000 CCs. That's a HUGE drop for monthly income and also for the size of the cheque.

I also know that one bot from wales (not castle bot) who was also a bit of a high flyer when she first started. Helped her hubby leave his job. 2 years later, he's secretly gone back to work full time because their business has taken such a hit from the Ariix poaching. But that's all been kept quiet because that wouldn't look good for business. Shocking really how people continue to be secretive about things, but still rave about how business is booming all over fb 😔

penny1ane · 25/02/2017 11:43

Does Natasha Shingles still visit these threads?
It would be interesting to hear from her again.
Does she still do forever living?

cozietoesie · 25/02/2017 13:35

That is a big drop, Dora. Is it common do you know?

CaveMum · 25/02/2017 19:38

I posted earlier on this thread about my Aussie friend who was trying to rope me into her MLM scam company that was about to launch in the UK. I've now found out the name of the company so you can add it to the list to avoid: Isagenix.

A quick Google reveals they're a US company who have been in hot water over their claims in the last few years.
