Apparently the subtitles are Turkish according to my Romanian multilingual friend.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 16/08/2016 10:03

Sorry Norbert I missed that entirely!
Shame I missed the less than complimentary comments as well!! These bots are all just so crass.

Onto LTW, a bot posted this yesterday; one of the "lovely" new hampers they've all been raving about, and she posted the price list as well which will probably earn her a bollocking. £3 for a 'bath tea bag"?? £12 for an Avril Lavigne body lotion? Watch out friends and family of LTW bots; your Xmas presents are going to be SHIT.

To be fair, keep, I think there's an Option 4 - for a few adherents. If you're really photogenic, 'on-message' all the time and can act as one of the MLM 'pin-ups', the MLMs might well also subsidise you to do your thing: bonuses etc etc.

Whose back those $$$ have come off is another matter entirely of course.

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 10:13

When I (ever so gently) asked my FL bot about how it was possible to make a 'six figure income' she became very defensive and said things like 'if you treat it like a hobby it will pay like a hobby' ' you have to work your business' 'you won't make that overnight of course you have to build your business but in 4 years you could be making that'

Sad because I've seen those exact phrases elsewhere and the '4 years' idea is presumably to stop people waking up and smelling the coffee

smiinky · 16/08/2016 10:24

They talk about being able to retire in four years, having made so much money, but where are all of these people who have retired? Why are they not being paraded at success express for all to see? It's because they don't exist, that's why.

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 10:27

Those top bots with their carefully posed come hither selfies and smug lifestyle posts have a lot to answer for.

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 10:28

And the underlying big lie that they are working to help people achieve their dreams makes me SICK

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 16/08/2016 10:33

Exactly. You don't hear from the top bots about how much they are able to put in their pensions every month, or how they have been able to pay into an investment portfolio which will give them a salary once they retire.
You still see them flogging products on FB and recruiting from the bottom.
Something just doesn't add up does it?

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 10:48

Oh you don't need all that. The things to boast about (while feeling humble and blessed) are
-flashy car to sit in taking selfies while travelling to 'business meetings'

  • 'dream house' with country views ( no one lives in a city for some reason)
  • children in private schools (we are not peasants like the rest of you)
  • luxury holidays (so you can take lots of photos and feel blessed and humble)
cozietoesie · 16/08/2016 10:50

That '(while feeling humble and blessed)' made me grin. Grin

cozietoesie · 16/08/2016 10:52

I don't know whether the international perspectives are frightening or fascinating - but they're certainly valuable. Many thanks CAM.

rayofhope · 16/08/2016 11:25

It all sounds great on paper but the reality of mlm is very different. When I was in, people were always talking about it being willable to your children but the reality is even if you have a good bonus each month from it when you die, your children still have to do 4cc's every month to be paid on it. (but that part is kept quiet) and if they're under 18 (so can't be named on it) you have to put someone else in charge and make sure they keep up with the 4cc's. If you don't do those 4cc's you won't be paid on your team.

Sounds very stressful for the children to keep up with when their parent has just died.

It's been quite a while since I left now. I'm still paying off my credit card debt from trying to make my forever business work (but you know obviously I didn't try hard enough and quit before the good stuff happens 🤔) but I'm getting there and I've also been able to open up to some friends about my experience. I'm also able to have a conversation with people without thinking 'how can I show you the business or products' I'm happy.

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 11:46

ray well done for getting out and posting on here.
Those of us with friends in MLMs get so frustrated because we see formally sensible women suddenly unable to use their brains
May I ask, what made you see the light?

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 12:01

All Things Gorgeous FB page is now being a bit more upfront about the fact that it's All Things Maelle

smiinky · 16/08/2016 12:06

I reckon that's thanks to Timeless Vie calling them out on it.

Spongebobette · 16/08/2016 12:10

Absolutely.
Well done TV!!!!!

smiinky · 16/08/2016 12:18

I'd like to see evidence of mlm children who have inherited a 'business' But just like those bots who 'will retire in five years' they don't exist. It's the fantasy that never makes it off of the pinboard.

keeptheaspidistra · 16/08/2016 12:30

I'm having a really difficult time at the moment and the 9quid Halle Berry deodorant has made me chuckle. Thank you Dickie

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 16/08/2016 13:00

I didn't even know I wanted armpits like Halle Berry until I saw that keep

Sorry you're having a rough time. X

keeptheaspidistra · 16/08/2016 14:34

Avril? Halle? I swear they've found abandoned stock from the early noughties. Makes Forever's light up lipgloss sound positively classy!

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 16/08/2016 14:45

I just googled some of the products. I haven't seen anything less than a 100% mark-up on everything. And the branded stuff is hopelessly out of date, they don't make the Avril Lavigne or Halle Berry stuff anymore....

keeptheaspidistra · 16/08/2016 15:14

How do people get sucked into LTW? Seriously, how? I can see how people end up with JP FL or Younique. I think their products are a load of crap but I can understand that those that sell it come to believe in it. Hasbeen celeb endorsed deoderants? Flavoured long life milk? Window cleaner? How on earth do people believe this is a safe bet to 10k a month.

thereisalwaysone · 16/08/2016 15:39

One of the LTW big wigs each month posts a screen shot of how much money she is making in order to encourage others to join up. But all it shows is she makes pence on each order her or her downline post and the real money is the bonus she is paid each month. The very same bonus that others are never going to get to and even big wig herself could have it stopped anytime as the level of bonus can be reduced according to LTW's own terms and conditions.

Just look at how slowly that balance increases and how low it is without the bonus. This is one of the biggest LTW earners too.

keeptheaspidistra · 16/08/2016 16:18

How much of that is her bonus always one? Im still with Tescos, they didn't charge me 35 to join, plus my clubcard points have paid for nights away, days out, a tablet, 2 x TVs, nursery items and I'm ashamed to say 3 x my body weight at Pizza Express Blush

thereisalwaysone · 16/08/2016 16:33

keeptheaspidistra its the £10k at the top aka shill bonus.

And I bet with your Tesco shopping you can choose exactly what you want to buy, they price match and the products aren't about to go out of date.
