Just a few of them! Irritating as heck, and smacks of desperation. There was even a lifetreeworld one! I thought that company was dying...

🌟🌟 BREAKFAST TRIALISTS REQUIRED🌟🌟

I am looking for 12 people to take part in a trial for one of our most popular trials 😍💝

All you have to do is swap your usual breakfast for a Complete Shake and one fat loss booster per day 💁🏼✨

The triallists aren't required to follow a clean eating plan 🙅🏼☺️
This trial will last for 14 days 🗓

This will cost £35 as a ONE OFF payment only 😃🙋🏼

If you're interested in helping me 🙋 or maybe you don't have breakfast on a morning then comment below 👇👇👇👇👇

Another FB post from a juice plus bot on my FB.

FFS trial are usually free or the participant gets paid to take part, you don't pay to take part in a trial!

And £35 for one meal's worth of Juice plus for 14 days 😲😲😲

So people really fall for this shit?!

Delurker2016 · 29/07/2016 10:34

It's because of changes in Facebook algorithms. So because of this their posts aren't being seen hence making them pay for advertising.

I used to spend my days answering messages, online planning meetings, creating trainings, writing trainings, creating pictures and promotional material so that I'd stand out. Answering more messages, being moaned at, working on my mindset. See! Look what fun it is.

Deerking · 29/07/2016 10:52

It seems to have happened almost overnight for me, although I use an adblocker on my computer I've been on my phone mainly the last week or so, and it's just been today and yesterday I've noticed them!
They make me both sad and angry, sad because there's usually hardly any engagement on the posts so they're likely a waste of money, angry because they act like its a genuine business! Scam scam scammity scam

CheekySmile · 29/07/2016 11:19

Deerking if you've looked at the pages of any MLM bot then FB will note this as a topic you're interested in and MLM adverts from those who are running them are more likely to show up on your timeline.

BettyDraper1 · 29/07/2016 11:36

OSET a HerbaLife (something like that?) bot that I knew put a similar promo on her page a couple of years ago, at a point when I was blissfully ignorant of MLMs. I sent her a message saying 'I'd be happy to take part in your trial' thinking that it could be a win-win situation. But no, she wanted £30 for her trial, which was apparently half price!

I never responded to that though so didn't fall for it in the end.

OSETmum · 29/07/2016 11:43

I'm glad you didn't fall for it Betty! She's had no likes or comments so far so hopefully no one will!

CamelsAndMaus · 29/07/2016 12:06

I'm know it's targeted marketing for where I'm based but there's me quite happily trying to catch up on Mock the Week and they've infiltrated YouTube now.

Wish I could link to the video as it was particularly hideous - if it turns up again I'll try (think of a presentation by someone who wasn't good enough to be cast in TOWIE - and in my defence I managed to sit through about 5 minutes of that shit).

yourwifilife.com/how-it-works/

Surbiton and a mobile number...... I wonder if I ring that whether I'll also get a Philippine and Czech Ghanaian with a south London accent (sorry not trying - I am still dealing with emails/texts and calls from that person from the UNO people and I've got another one now desperate to set up a meeting as she SO wants to add me to her downline - feel a bit bad about that one as it was through a friend).

It all seems to be evolving into cybernet unquantifiable "products" though. Lifestyle coach anyone?

Ah well, back to catch up with MTW though. Just hoping someone downloads the Celebrity Masterchef finals soon.

NorbertDentressangle · 29/07/2016 13:38

Delurker can I ask you a question please?

My bot is currently on holiday abroad with her family but is still "working" every day (recording training sessions, online catch ups with her team, online training plus all the usual recruitment and sales posts on fb with a hefty amount of "look isn't my life wonderful" of course!).

Anyway my question is why is she working whilst on holiday? Is it the danger that her team willl slacken and off and she'll be out of pocket? Is it the brainwashing that means she can't step away from it?

It just goes against everything she says about her Forever business allowing her to spend quality time with the family, have great holidays etc.

keeptheaspidistra · 29/07/2016 14:31

Norbert one of my friends did the same. Posted on Facebook every day, normal every day holiday things, family pics, scenery, pool/beach, meals out etc but EVERY post had a subtle FL reference "so glad I packed so and so product for the kids hands/his sunburn/my hangover etc etc" or a carefully placed tube/bottle of gloop in the holiday pics. Yawn.

I think its all about the bread and butter rather than a genuine passion for flogging shite. Get people thinking they need aloe sun lotion etc for their hols. Also perverted logic in trying to make people jealous. You're sat at your desk working away looking at the rain out your window, look at me working on the beach sipping cocktails.

The main reason is pretty obvious. No holiday pay lol

darceybussell · 29/07/2016 14:37

I could technically work anywhere I wanted too. If I've not got meetings in my diary, I could take off with my laptop and my iPhone and work while I was on the beach and no one at work would care. The question is why the f*ck would I want to. If I can't actually be on holiday while I am on holiday what is the point?

keeptheaspidistra · 29/07/2016 14:53

You wouldn't Darcey lol. My local JP bot and her portable office tickle me; lots of "this is my office for the day" captions attached to pics of the park, soft play etc B&Q (yes that's right B&Q, Richard Branson often completes business deals down the wallpaper isle dontcha know)
Mobile office... Ha! Nothing says quality time with the kids like your toddler pushing themselves on the swings whilst mummy's nose is glued to her phone as she trires to sell dried fruit pills to her neighbour's sister's dog walker's aunt.

SaturdaySurprise · 29/07/2016 16:39

I was at a bingo session in a rural village hall yesterday. It was full of very old people. The organiser announced that someone sent her an email offering a raffle prize in return for a "ten minute talk". I saw the email and it didn't give the name of the company, but went on about "a business opportunity".

Luckily, the organiser had already decided to say " no ", because she'd once been caught out by a " ten minute talk " , which lasted nearly two hours.

It's disgraceful that these people are now targeting groups of old people on pensions.

TFPsa · 29/07/2016 16:43

maybe my imagination, but [based on a very quick scan of its website] this Ariix lark seems to be even more blatant than its competitors about the fact that it's pyramid a pyramid scheme.

their products all have seriously stupid names and don't really seem to have any unifying theme in the way that say JP does. just looks like a silly old load of unconnected toss really, e.g. water filter bottles[??]. shampoo, weight loss drops,...

the real effort seems to have gone into persuading would-be networkers of the 'income opportunity'. which makes sense, I suppose, low level distributors are after all the people who'll be putting all the money in & as such the nearest thing to real 'customers' in the whole sorry affair.

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 16:56

When a market is nearly saturated, you have to pretty well try even harder, go for less and less obvious groups or head off to a new market where they might not be so 'aware'.

Delurker2016 · 29/07/2016 18:05

Sorry for late response.

Yes basically if you slack then your team will. It's called 'leading from the front'.....if you do it, your team will follow. Every single post on Facebook HAS to reference back to either a) product b) lifestyle forever has given you c) money.
It's not a holiday! Trust me, trying to find wifi to do a training isn't easy, I didn't have a holiday, I was working whilst looking at the pissed off look on my partners face.

NorbertDentressangle · 29/07/2016 18:07

Stacey and Aspidistra - exactly. A holiday is precisely that, a holiday from work and the day to day monotony of life.

Is recording a training session in the family car whilst you drive 100s of miles across France a holiday? Not in my book!!

Is having a web chat with colleagues about work whilst you sit by the pool a holiday? No in my book!!

At one point my holiday bot went quiet for a couple of days. I hoped she might have seen the light but no, it seems the campsites internet was down. I bet she was having palpitations about that and was probably driving around rural France like a crack addict looking for their next fix!

NorbertDentressangle · 29/07/2016 18:13

Delurker - sorry X'd posts there. Thank you for your reply.

Funny what you said about looking for wifi after what I posted Smile

PS I'm actually on holiday now but haven't given a flying whatsit about my job let alone been in contact with them on a daily basis.

Cheers Wine

Toobusytowee · 29/07/2016 18:29

Traffic Monsoon are in serious trouble on account of them being a Ponzi scheme. And LTW have a CCJ against them and a seriously seriously bad credit rating. It's all tumbling down for some schemes.

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 18:35

About as serious as you can get, I think.

Biscuitfingers · 29/07/2016 18:49

Delurker - sorry...I've also got a question for you! What's your take on FL encouraging kids to promote the business? My DSD is being dragged into it at the age of 11...I think in September it will be the 3rd time she's had to get up and talk to a load of people about how wonderful FL is and how successful her Mum is. It makes me so mad!

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 18:56

I suspect that most MLM organisational policies will cover the MLMs themselves - in most things, it's what's actually is said and done on the ground that runs the risk of non-compliance or accusations of questionable practice.

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 18:57

what

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 18:58

Otherwise known as the 'It wisnae me' defence.
