Hi all, I've been on holiday and missed a lot but was wondering if anyone knew what this might be? Posted by one of my FL bots this morning.

cozietoesie · 10/04/2016 13:44

Certainly do. Smile

cozietoesie · 10/04/2016 13:47

So she's jumped ship has she?

penguins33 · 10/04/2016 14:23

So is it another MLM? Care to share any details? As of a month ago she was still FLing but never posted a lot about it anyway.

DollyTwat · 10/04/2016 14:26

That's that Tree Life scam isn't it?

CheekySmile · 10/04/2016 14:28

Sounds like Life Tree World penguins definitely another MLM product based pyramid scheme. I had a bot who was claiming she'd be earning £100,000 per year from it, just by doing her shopping with them. Hmm

Toobusytowee · 10/04/2016 14:42

Watch out Penguins, she has to recruit three people into that scheme.

penguins33 · 10/04/2016 14:56

She already has nine people wanting more information so I'm safe toobusy :)

MrGrumpy01 · 10/04/2016 15:27

I read one who claimed within a month she was no longer having to pay for her shopping as it was all free. Are we really supposed to believe that? Even the likes of Tesco are struggling in today's climate so it seems very unbelievable that a company can pay a random punter and the rest of them 100k

misselaineneous · 10/04/2016 16:13

I have my own money tree bot & meanwhile my FL bot is on a "massive recruitment drive". Apparently Forever Living is " recession proof".

BonjourMinou · 10/04/2016 16:26

I would go so far as to say the likes of forever living positively thrive on the recession. So many desperate people to prey on.

gottaloveascamhun · 10/04/2016 18:38

Very true Bonjour. The life tree website is a joke, my 5 year old could write better grammar (well almost).

throwingpebbles · 10/04/2016 19:10

Yet people are falling for it every day gotta Confused

misselaineneous · 10/04/2016 19:41

What might this be? Someone asks if it's Life Tree & the reply is it's not MLM. Thx "huns".

Toobusytowee · 10/04/2016 20:07

Miss, I'm afraid you are going to have to ask for more information from them. I need to know what it is and I can't find it by googling. It's got to be dodgy! I'm dying to know what it is and find out what it really is.

gottaloveascamhun · 10/04/2016 21:31

I'm a really suggestible and gullible person. I marvel at the fact that I wasn't taken in my one of these MLMs, and can see how people can be totally taken in. I have a postgraduate degree but am easily led and persuaded. Lucky for me I was never prospected until I knew the truth!

lifetreeworld · 11/04/2016 00:50

Feel like i'll probably get eaten but i'll post anyway!

I'm an agent for LTW Shock. I am NOT here to recruit (I don't need to Wink )so please don't delete this post MN! But I can see LTW is getting blasted as a scam so just wanted to add a different pov/my experience to the discussion.

I'm no fool. I hate pyramid scams. I've done Avon in the past (genuinely earned me £200 a month but I hated every second). When I couldn't hack Avon anymore and quit I looked into Forever/Unique/Ann Summers from home. Loads...none appealed. They were all the same type of thing, you have a product or products to push, a huge start up fee and all the rest. Packing and delivering orders, trying to sell your products...been there, done that. Never again.

A friend started posting about LTW on FB over and over and was doing my head in. I asked out of morbid curiosity and spent weeks researching the company. The website IS shit, I agree. Some of the spelling and grammar hurts my eyes. Apparently there's a copywriter starting next week to right the wrongs (hurrah!).

BUT there are people making money from it, genuinely. Although the person who said one of their friends claimed to be earning £100k a year is chatting absolute bollocks - NO ONE in the company is doing that, not one. I think the current superstar who's been in it about 6 months has reached £25k - genuinely - but that's it. The more 'average' high flyers (not that many of them, but a few) who still put hundreds of hours in a month are earning their £5k bonus - but when these people sleep, I don't know. Most people who do well (and still with a decent amount of work required) class 'doing well' as hitting the lower levels - the £200/£750 or, more rarely, the £2000 bonus.

Regarding the 'free shopping' - LTW doesn't give away any free shopping. But they're probably referring to Level 1 bonus, which is £200 and hence 'covers' your shop of £165-£200 the next month. Commonly referred to as your 'free shopping' level.

Anyway, it's not as scammy as it seems and this discussion interested me. I'm happy to answer any questions (I have a thick skin) as LTW is still a bit of an unknown entity for many so there's a LOT of wrong information going around.

lastuseraccount123 · 11/04/2016 01:53

why doesn't LTW have prices for the groceries on it's website?

lastuseraccount123 · 11/04/2016 02:04

why is it so vague about the 'opportunity' on the same website?

chuckingstones · 11/04/2016 06:42

The problem with LTW (as with many MLMs) is that you have to recruit to make any money. I believe that you get 2% cash back on your basic shopping (happy to be corrected), but the problem is that this isn't a big chain supermarket you're shopping with where every aisle has multiple offers. I've seen the "offers" that LTW have and they're mostly on very cheap products (imagine getting bogof on your "everyday value" items).

Also what I've seen is that there's no picking of your delivery time, it's sent in 3-5 days and there is limited choice (happy to be corrected if things have moved on). Their aim is to offer same day delivery over the whole country from something like 10 distribution centres which seems like too lofty an ambition.

If you recruit you get 1% then 0.5% of your downline sales with the usual "bonus" scheme. But people must be losing money compared to normal shopping with a supermarket. Again, read "pyramid scheme" as only those at the very top will be making anything decent.

It was a profit accumulation scheme.
