Darcey no I don't think so.

Will you be paying for the psychotherapy I now need after watching that weird culty saccharine-sweet scary shite video all the way through to check? Grin

cozietoesie · 20/04/2016 13:34

Actually, I'm surprised that no-one seems to have reported the results of any FOI enquiry (of HMRC) on eg the number of tax/VAT investigations which have been undertaken against MLM 'IBOs' in recent specified

There must surely have been such FOI requests? Wink

crazycatlady26 · 20/04/2016 13:41

I'm speechless orange these people have no shame Hmm

darceybussell · 20/04/2016 13:48

Haha Twunk, of course! your giant cheque for £2.86 is in the post!

(Freaked me out too - they were in my nightmares last night waving their arms in the air - if I didn't know better I'd think it was a bit like a.... cult)

orangefizzypop75 · 20/04/2016 13:51

I dread to think what the potential for unpaid taxes could be. If you received a bonus of 2K in a normal job then obviously there is a tax implication. I'm wondering if these credit card "bonuses" are actually declared to HMRC. They're exceptionally good at declaring it on FB so it really shouldn't be difficult, should it? ;)

darceybussell · 20/04/2016 13:53

That post about tax is the absolute height of stupidity. What kind of idiot brags about dodging tax on Facebook?!

orangefizzypop75 · 20/04/2016 14:02

Am I surprised my post got deleted by MNHQ? No - regardless of the fact there were no identities revealed of those claiming to learn tax avoidance skills at a FL meeting. Tax avoidance is a criminal offence - it should not be covered up for fear of reprisal.

darceybussell · 20/04/2016 14:10

Tax avoidance is OK orange it's evasion that's not ok, but there's a bit of a grey area in the middle. However I'm pretty sure a latte for yourself is not a legally deductible expense. So deducting that would be evasion and would therefore be against the law.

orangefizzypop75 · 20/04/2016 14:14

You are right - I will admit I am not 100% au fait with tax law but to openly brag about attending meetings regarding such topics is unbelievable! Would the prepaid credit card element come under tax evasion?

darceybussell · 20/04/2016 14:22

I'd expect that to be taxable income yes, it seems like a bonus but it will depend how everything is worded in the contract.

But yes you are right, you don't go on the Internet and brag that you are learning about ways to 'get round the tax man' - that's really dumb! Although I suppose most of them won't be making enough money to pay tax anyway.

cozietoesie · 20/04/2016 14:58

Even if you don't end up paying tax or VAT, darcey, you might very well have to prove that fact to HMRC. Anyone who has ever faced a tax or VAT audit would tell you that that's not something to be wished for. Smile

My Bot has been posting the list of places the JP research has been carried out, nothing of course about how flawed the research is of course!

DayToDayGlobalShit · 20/04/2016 21:16

my jp has just got a £900 bonus on being promoted to Sales Coordinator.
So how much do you think she will really get?

Any ex JP folk around to explain what that all means please?

Is this high up in the biz?

DollyTwat · 20/04/2016 21:55

Becky, what the what now? Enzymes and ...what? It doesn't make sense does it?

stopfaffing · 20/04/2016 22:02

Just browsing randomly and found this website "direct selling facts and figures and MLM news".

smiinky · 20/04/2016 23:37
