I had thought that LTW could be operating illegally simply as you pay to join without any products being exchanged - that is, in itself, a pyramid scheme! No business in a box or presenters kit here to even attempt to mask it.

The bots seem highly unprofessional and rude to boot - although that may have something to do with this crafty little number imploding already! I guess they should have been a little more critical. I don't understand how someone is a "hater" or "negative" by simply using common sense and not wanting to be part of something that appears a little shady.

On top of that, the hampers they offer remind me of the student packs you would get during freshers week at university!

I doubt anyone living a healthy balanced lifestyle would be interested.

Branded goods are visually front and fore.

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 11:14

The trouble is, Patzy, that forceful training encourages some people to bulldoze their way through the 'common sense' barriers. (Or slip around them if that's the better option.)

smiinky · 15/04/2016 11:15

its a proper tin pot Delboy and Rodney operation, you can count the shills on one hand and the same ones are popping up everywhere.
It's quite amusing how crap it is, the skanky headquarters, the kebab shop menu style posters, the logo, the end of line market stall wampum.
I love it how the way one of them contributed to the debate on Botwatchby posting up a photo of a giant white car - the false idol of worship of mlm adherants.
Psst wanna buy some cheap perfume?

Speaking as the (current) world expert on aloecryonics, I am prepared - for suitable recompense - to share my 'expertise' with Timeless Vie in the development of a new product: I can see that name now - parslaiicryonics! (Eternal suspension in a chilled vat of parslaii infusion.)

I guess, though, that that will have to await the outcome of Timeless Vie's undoubted efforts on producing parslaiiwater. Sad

Patzy85 · 15/04/2016 11:31

Smink - really they should be posing next to a Robin Reliant! The rebuttal of smudged cheques and dingy conference rooms was equally hilarious and depressing.

smiinky · 15/04/2016 11:57

oh yeah, the write on/wipe off cheques how could I forget? Pure comedy!

Motorheadmum · 15/04/2016 12:16

Morning all! I am actually working from home today, although sadly not in my pj's taking photos...
The more that's is coming out about LTW is worrying, has the lady who joined reported any more back? Let's hope some of the relevant authorities start to take an interest in this

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 12:30

Goodness. I didn't know you were allowed to work from home in other than PJs! Grin

MrGrumpy01 · 15/04/2016 12:41

I still don't get LTW, the bots are doing nothing to convince me.

  1. The payment structure still seems unrealistic. I know MM tried to explain it but it still doesn't add up. Unless the products are worth pennies.
  2. Postage. Is this free or paid for? £165 of products must cost a canny amount to send even with a business account.
  3. Who realistically buys only branded goods? The people who do are unlikely to be bothered about a 10p saving on a product. More to the point the branded products aren't always brands as we know them and are Home Bargains style brands. (I use them sometimes, that is no criticism)
  4. Are the products intended for the UK market or are they the ones where there is a sticker in English over all the foreign languages?

Oh and back to the blog, the cereal for which a price couldn't be found. I am pretty certain that is the weight that pops up in Pound land/Home Bargains for £1.

The post on fb was an enlightening read.

smiinky · 15/04/2016 12:54

maybe we should open a book on how long before the whole shitshow collapses.

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 12:56

I'm not sure I would bother trying to 'get it' MrGrumpy. I don't think you can fit it into any sort of workable model. Smile

Patzy85 · 15/04/2016 12:56

Basically the things you'd buy from LTW are the things you would buy from you local convenience store, the only different is the distinct lack of convenience. 3-5 days for groceries!

I would imagine LTW HQ (in all of its splendour) is rather panicked right now.

keeptheaspidistra · 15/04/2016 13:01

Sorry to be a massive snob but I wouldn't spend that much a month on "cupboard foods", a load of crap in my opinion. Someone has commented on fb that their are plenty of cupboard foods to make a proper meal, that may be but not one I'd feed my family. And after skimming the headlines this morning and reading the makers of dolmio/uncle Ben's are recommending that their own customers limit consumption of these products for health reasons I'm glad I'm a cupboard snob. I'd much rather buy fresh produce and make and bulk freeze proper meals. Oh and I've previously swapped my Tesco vouchers for a tv and a tablet, regular meals out, cinema visits etc. What a load of nonsense.

MrGrumpy01 · 15/04/2016 13:36

It is hurting my brain trying to understand it. Grin

I am no cupboard snob, but I think I would struggle to spend that each month. We do spend a lot on cereal, but not at the prices on LTW. Aldi and Sainsburys are my choice on the whole. I spend little on cleaning products.

So whilst I might be able to do an intial big spend it would last a lit longer than a month. That is half my food budget, I spend more than that on milk fresh/frozen/chilled food.

Patzy85 · 15/04/2016 13:41

The rude bots of LTW have deleted all their comments from Bot Watch. I guess their upline was not happy with the way they were presenting themselves.

I give it 6 months....

keeptheaspidistra · 15/04/2016 13:47

It's crazy, I'd be spending more for a less healthy diet, I'd still have to shop elsewhere for the other half of my shop. So why would I pay £35 for the privilege of not saving time or money?
Oh yes so I can persuade my nearest and dearest to do the same and make thousands of pounds every time my mum buys a can of beans.
I can't believe there is a "business opportunity" more ridiculous than fl and yet here it is!

throwingpebbles · 15/04/2016 14:38

Fascinating that all the comments have gone .... it did make them all lol fairly idiotic! As for the claim one made that she had been doing it two weeks and had 10000 recruits Hmm

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 14:40

Best to always keep your eye on the system and not the wampum - except inasmuch as you may have to look at the wampum in connection with the way the system is working. Ordinary people are 'believing' in this for a multitude of reasons and they are the ones that are refusing the be convinced and are likely going to be knocked for six. Very shortly, I suspect. Sad

BSintolerant · 15/04/2016 15:30

I hope the Resistance has taken screenshots of the rude FB comments. ;) Poor bots being rattled by a bunch of keyboard warriors.

Well done Botwatch!

Afternoon Eyes.

And nuts to all those MLM lawyers!!

Toobusytowee · 15/04/2016 15:54

I've got copies of all the posts. And PMs.

Eyes says to have a read of this review of Ted Braun's new film about Herbalife. Hopefully it'll be released here.

Melaw21 · 15/04/2016 16:01

Ok, I can see how people could fall for the typical glitzy mlm that we are used to seeing, but this one? It might as well have flasing neon lights and alarms going off screeching "dont touch me with a barge pole"! Its like some kind of odd psychology experiment to see how easy it is to convince people to pay good money to buy themselves a worse deal than they are already getting. This one has me bamboozled!

The funniest thing ever though is the old snake vs crocodile fight going on (on some posts/pages) between different MLM adherents (#goteameyes) about how their dodgy crap is better than someone elses dodgy crap, and going at each other like rabid pitbulls when some other bot, has the audacity to try and recruit on another bots post!
