I might still do it anyway. But with less wine on board
I'm slightly tempted to join LTW just to find out stuff. For research purposes

lastuseraccount123 · 15/04/2016 04:58

Pop over and give her some support today. Some of the LTW people are less than fab. cos, MLMs R SOOO professional, y'all

throwingpebbles · 15/04/2016 06:50

toobusy you are totally awesome! wonderfully put together post

throwingpebbles · 15/04/2016 06:51

Wow at the huge number of LTW peeps throwing themselves at bot wAtch Shock

dolly if you are going to do a price comparison it would be fairer to compare it to another retailer of discontinued/ short life stock
Such as www.approvedfood.co.uk/about_us

darceybussell · 15/04/2016 07:23

Any LTW people reading this need to go and read s120(3) of the fair trading act and decide whether they are comfortable taking this risk.

In my opinion, having read that legislation and the Trading Scheme Regulations 1997, the way LTW and its distributors are operating is not legal.

But I/my mate made money is NOT a defence to committing a crime! Can you imagine if a bank robber said that!

darceybussell · 15/04/2016 07:36

Not knowing that it was against the law is also not a defence. You need to read this legislation and you need to decide whether you are operating inside it or not.

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 08:01

I'd kind of like to know what current salaries/remuneration the 'directors' are taking out of the 'company' and how much capital they put up front for it. (The latter must surely have been quite considerable.)

Call me nosey. Smile

Twoodle · 15/04/2016 08:53

Loving all those posts added to the botwatch FB post, those giant cheques where the names have clearly been rubbed out and another one added really convince this LTW isn't a scam Wink I'm assuming as those fake cheques show the names of the people who allegedly got that money botwatch or timeless vie is noting all that down. Wouldn't it be a surprise if they really hadn't been given that money straight into their bank account.

Now if only I worked in HMRC that might interest me very much Grin

bumpingalong9386 · 15/04/2016 09:00

Twoodle I am taking a random guess here that most of the people who have signed up to LTW haven't been told that this is taxable income...

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:10

It's interesting to think about the possible effect that 'little local difficulties' with one particular company might have on the whole MLM system in the UK. I'm sure that others might consider playing it with the 'Oh we're nothing like Company X - we're established! ' bat but I still don't think I would be a happy bunny this morning if I were high up in a UK element of a currently prominent MLM. The general populace have quite long memories for such things. Smile

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:12

'Taxable income', bumping? (Shurely not.)

kamchatka23 · 15/04/2016 09:20

Has anyone seen this one popping up in their feed?
It definitely seems to be an MLM.

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:28

It's a 'structured water' sort of thing. Smile

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:29

kamchatka

Is that still a US outfit?

Melaw21 · 15/04/2016 09:31

kam this must be a parody like tv surely?

kamchatka23 · 15/04/2016 09:34

I think it's definitely still in the US. I did think it was a pisstake at first - now I'm not so sure!

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:37

Afraid not, Melaw. Look up 'structured water'. (Together with any add-ons you feel moved to put in the search. Grin)

Melaw21 · 15/04/2016 09:42

cozie I'm not sure I could bear to look at it... Maybe later?! Lol 😂😂

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:43

I made that post talking about 'aloecryogenics' (suspension after death in a tub of chilled gloop) purely in jest.

The more I think about it though, the more I wonder whether I just missed my true calling. Smile

Toobusytowee · 15/04/2016 09:52

Message here from an expert
It is my considered opinion that 'Life Tree World' is the legally-registered corporate-front for a classic, closed-market swindle (a.k.a. Pyramid Scam), dissimulated as an 'income opportunity.' Even the briefest examination of this dissimulated criminal enterprise reveals it has no significant, or sustainable, source of revenue other than its own participants. The instigators of 'LTW' are economic alchemists peddling the self-perpetuating, crackpot pseudo-economic theory/lie that endless recruitment + endless payments by the recruits = endless profits for the recruits. Common-sense dictates that due to their artificially-high fixed-price, and wide-availability at significantly-lower prices in traditional retail outlets, the deceptively-banal products offered by 'LTW' are effectively-unsaleable on the open-market. Consequently, their purchase from 'LTW' cannot be lawful retail transactions based on value and demand. The purchase of products from 'LTW' can only be an unlawful investment payment laundered as a lawful retail sale, because such transactions are self-evidently based on the false-expectation of future reward. UK trading schemes legislation, which was partly-influenced by agents of the UK DSA (including 2 UK Members of Parliament), does not accurately formulate the universal identifying characteristic of Pyramids and Ponzis, nor does it clearly explain why all Pyramids and Ponzis (no matter how they are camouflaged) are frauds. The appropriate legislation to invoke in any prosecution of the instigators of 'LTW' would be the UK Fraud Act, 2006.

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:53

You have to hand it to the water mob, though - they could really clean up in the preppers and athletics/hiking markets, potentially. Imagine only having to store/carry one bottle of 'special water' where previously you needed six! Grin

Toobusytowee · 15/04/2016 09:55

And from the same expert, more info on structured water

#teameyes

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 09:58
