Thank you, Toobusy. I wouldn't much like to be a PR person there at the moment either.

(Some interesting links at the bottom of that piece also.)

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 16:06

PS - it might be useful to keep that link fresh for later readers of the thread?

Toobusytowee · 15/04/2016 16:23

What, this link Cozie?

That's the one. Smile

The LTW bots are very defensive!
I've been accused of trying to ruin their livelihoods by questioning the authenticity of the business model

I very much get the feeling that they all know they're conning their friends to spend loads, but as its paying their bills, they'd tather we didn't point that out

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 17:02

People invest in MLMs - not just financially (although that's bad enough) but also emotionally and reputationally. If one goes pear shaped - or their own activity within it becomes unsustainable - they somehow believe that it will make them some sort of lesser person both to themselves, to their family and friends and to former fellow-adherents etc.

That's part of why it's so remarkable to have MLM adherents leaving and then speaking out about their time in the organisation. Much respect to them all.

stopfaffing · 15/04/2016 17:10

I've been on the Companies House website to find out the directors, but none listed, unless I am looking in wrong place. Here is a clip from a fb page where the author states that there is involvement from ex-Amway bots but also states that LTW member of DSA, which it is not.

An almost shill bot has posted a video of her hotel room in Joburg, and to be absolutely honest, it looks really quite shit...

DollyTwat · 15/04/2016 17:35

Please can Eyes come back now MN?

BSintolerant · 15/04/2016 17:57

Please, Mumsnet, pretty please with aloe gloop and parslaii on top?

Or we'll release the pigeons.

Melaw21 · 15/04/2016 18:19

Cmon mumsnet! Bring him back!

kamchatka23 · 15/04/2016 18:31

With all the excitement about Wampum Water and Life Tree World I forgot to mention something my Ariix bot did recently. During the last school holiday she randomly got phoned up a mutual friend, ostensibly for a 'catch up' and a chat. After they'd been talking for a few minutes she piped up with "oh, I did think of you the other day. You know your awful eye bags and terrible dark circles? I've got this amazing new cream that I think will help - normally it's over £100, but I can let you have it for £75."
Obviously, she declined - but how rude and insulting is that?

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 18:35

Well she didn't get a sign-up I presume? Smile

Needs to work on that technique a bit.

throwingpebbles · 15/04/2016 18:49

I pm'd mumsnet and they said eyes can't be allowed back

Sad

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 19:14

I see those Botwatch likes are going up, throwing.

I trust that none of those are 'purchases'? Grin

MimsyPimsy · 15/04/2016 19:30

Great work toobusy !!!

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 19:36

Just that I was surprisingly disconcerted to discover that some adherents might be buying 'likes'. Wink

stopfaffing · 15/04/2016 19:52

Thanks Mim. Also found this that lists shares of directors.

MrGrumpy01 · 15/04/2016 19:54

kam she would have a field day with me. Blush

WindyTriller · 15/04/2016 21:50

Loving the posing by white car photo on the bot watch post - it's a Dacia Duster, price from £9495 - not exactly what I would call a status symbol, I thought the white bot car of choice was more Range Rover Evoque or Nissan Qashqai. Perhaps LTW don't have the budget for that ?!

www.dacia.co.uk/vehicles/duster/

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 21:54

I've just been reading up on 'lists'. Warm lists, hot lists, negative lists, positive lists and so on and so on....

I guess I should add 'chicken lists' to............the list! Grin

cozietoesie · 15/04/2016 21:56

But why a white car? I just don't understand that one.
