Just marking. What is everyones opinion on body shop? I have been a couple of parties and brought stuff. Dare I say I enjoyed the parties. There was no recruiting just selling the stuff and having a raffle. Their prices are not too bad, I brought shampoo and a conditioner for £7, which is dearer than shops but not to bad for a treat for myself. When I consider Fl 's. £20 for 1 bottle of shampoo. What do you think? I have been added to a Younique private web page by a distant family member, that make 3 webpages now. Can anyone else beat that? Grin

Patzy85 · 10/03/2016 17:42

I have to say that I love body shop products, I haven't been to a party though, only bought them in store.

I have a new younique bot who only just started a couple of days ago and is already posting pictures of being top of a leader board. She is a lovely girl and I want to tell her how silly the whole scheme is as I can see that she is being completely groomed by some heavily made up, middle aged über bot. I suspect it will be a flash in the pan thing though as I have yet to have a younique for longer than 2 months. Their retention rates must be shocking.

Toobusytowee · 10/03/2016 17:46

Ex-FL bots, can you please tell me what an 'unrecognised manager' is?

cozietoesie · 10/03/2016 17:50

Looking at Too's post, could someone advise me if there's anything they don't make claims about? I feel that I'm acquiring some rather blurred boundaries there. Wink

www.rawstory.com/2016/03/toddler-died-from-meningitis-after-anti-vaxx-parents-treated-him-with-maple-syrup-instead-of-medicine/?utm_content=buffer85e96&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

The article about the boy with meningitis, is doing the rounds amongst medical friends on Facebook. It's from an anti anti-vax movement, but it does state that they only called an ambulance when the boy stopped breathing. Also states that they treated him with supplement s that Canada tried to ban, with the MLM started by the dads father, boys grandfather. So sad.

hmmm interesting ...... a certain (ex?) FL poster girl who has featured in the press recently has changed her personal fb account significantly - ie. only 2 posts visible, no longer a link to her business page on the intro bit on the left either.

Being a bit coy about her current plans to move house? Or maybe it's not just a house move on the cards?

kamchatka23 · 10/03/2016 18:13

I noticed today that Castlebot's personal profile is now totally locked down and private. I wonder what's afoot?

cozietoesie · 10/03/2016 18:14

I went to a Body Shop party backaways, Annie, and I think it probably soured my friendship with the person a little although I had thought that I liked them very much beforehand. There was no recruiting but I received the impression that I was there to make up numbers and the 'hostess' seemed mostly distracted, almost as if she couldn't wait for the socialising to finish and the real business to start. I bought some things that I probably wouldn't otherwise have bought because I was conscious that she would receive something if the group bought enough. It didn't feel like a social event - I guess it was just a straight selling 'party'.

That was a good few years back though and I had gone there unawares. Things may have changed.

Oo, maybe its becuase I commented about the child day she boasts about being a lie? That you have to sell you soul to the company?
Alongwith everyone querying her moving and everything they do?
Good work people. It does feel a bit wrong, but then you think about all those people who buy into it for £200, miss the first year of their child's life working 15 hours a day, alienating friends, for £90 a month and then in debt overall.

That's a little unfair bossbabebot for you to say that.

Poor rats, how could you accuse them of such behaviour Grin

worcestersauce29 · 10/03/2016 19:11

By chance late today I was looking at a noticeboard at work……..I never look at them but boy am I glad I did………….there was a flyer for a FL table tomorrow at the hospital.
Not impressed at all, I will be contacting our comms and legal department giving them links to the ST article as well as some of the others.
I am also considering printing off some timeless vie promo!!!!!

cozietoesie · 10/03/2016 19:17

An exposition worthy of a Platinum Penguin Manquee, Cubic.

I hope to understand it fully on the second reading. Grin

Toobusytowee · 10/03/2016 19:17

That's a bit concerning Worcestershiresauce! They'll be trying to recruit hospital staff AND selling snake oil to patients. Double nasty. Could you send out some urgent emails tonight so the relevant people get warned early tomorrow morning?

Toobusytowee · 10/03/2016 19:20

Cubic, can I have a team please? I'm feeling like I deserve a team of my own. I've been really really positive and I'm vibrating on all the right frequencies. I've recruited my great grandmother and I have a regular stall at the local hospice. This deserves some recognition, surely?

bossbabebot · 10/03/2016 19:22

I am so far down the down line I am sat in the bilge at the bottom - I am the ultimate worker bee...

Go #teamshite

I found the source of the original email with the flyer attached and have forwarded it to my home email address from where I will email tonight. The bot is an ex NHS worker but is now a full time boss babe, in the wheeled trainers 'team' ;)

cozietoesie · 10/03/2016 19:27

I already have a parslaii down line. OK - it was given to me but Hey........... Grin

NorbertDentressangle · 10/03/2016 19:29
