Cozie - I missed your posts. I probably should have just messaged them.

cozietoesie · 26/02/2016 10:56

You mean the HMOs (high-margin offerings), Patzy? Wink

sminkypink · 26/02/2016 11:07

patzy85 I know, what a load of bollocks, on one hand they pretend to be as nice as pie, all positivity and eybrows, oxo families with added hotubs and bling, literally puking rainbows all over their Facebook.
And behind the scenes we get messages from their ex downline saying that they've been horribly bullied and pressurized to buy products that they had no customers for so that their upline can get promoted.
It's such a racket. It's got nothing to do with business at all has it? It's a horrible role playing bullshit game of pretence where money gets stolen and moved around. Business coach my arse. Cultic racket slave driver would be a better description.

Patzy85 · 26/02/2016 11:11

Exactly sminky, it's the fakest business going. This is the reality of it, listening to this bollocks, day in day out.

Also, I'm drinking on 'cultic racket' and it's only 11am. Let's go easy people! Grin

throwingpebbles · 26/02/2016 11:14

But this is making me laugh wryly

...do you think they are panicking and trying to find new ways to keep the bots at the bottom happy???

I reckon it's many-flavoured. If I were an MLM's Executive Vice President for Product Placement (or whatever they call themselves) I'd be making darned sure I wasn't actually losing money in the deal.

There is, of course, an argument that the products are deliberately over-priced as a strategy but I haven't had enough caffeine yet to go there.

Lovewineandchocs · 26/02/2016 11:23

Thanks for the video. I now have an ear worm as that song "Nathan Jones" is going through my head-I think it's by Bananarama? My DH was at training yesterday in his J.O.B Shock learning elevator pitches and such in order to develop a new app, i.e a useful product. No prospecting involved. His training was completely different to this as obviously he works in a proper business. He says that vid is cringeworthy. I'd like him to join TV as a #manhun though 😀 will u have him? Parslai power! #TVapp

ambler21 · 26/02/2016 11:26

Wish I was at home to record some of that training to add to my collection massive archive

Patzy85 · 26/02/2016 11:34

Lovewine- it's basically training how to be a snake, isn't it!

Lovewineandchocs · 26/02/2016 11:44

patzy
Completely. It just feels so sneaky and slithery Smile and people do fall for it!

Patzy85 · 26/02/2016 11:47

I wonder if, once recruited, a new bot looks at the way in which they were approached and realises that the fakery and compliments were all just a ploy?

cozietoesie · 26/02/2016 11:49

I suspect they're too tired by that stage to think much about anything.

acatcalledjohn · 26/02/2016 11:52

Or too far up someone else's arse to see clearly.

I do wonder the same though, Patzy. It takes some serious brainwashing to become blind to your own abuse.

cozietoesie · 26/02/2016 11:53

But it is serious, acat.

acatcalledjohn · 26/02/2016 11:53

(Abuse may be the wrong word, it's just I am rather busy in my J.O.B. - you get the gist though I'm sure Smile)

throwingpebbles · 26/02/2016 11:54

Well quite patzy Grin

acatcalledjohn · 26/02/2016 11:58

I know it is serious. Thing is, those of us who saw through these pyramids from the off struggle to understand how someone can be so brainwashed that they end up the way they are. I'm not a gullible person, I've no experience of being brainwashed and thus cannot relate, which is why I find this whole concept so morbidly fascinating. And I equally applaud (and may slightly envy) those who were taken in by it all, escaped, and are able to give true insights as to what it is like to live and breath MLM.

Eyespying · 26/02/2016 12:05

Joking (and drinking) apart, can I just say that I have kept on repeating certain accurate words in order to shine a light on the reality behind all the thought-stopping ritual 'MLM' jargon.

Years back, I developed a presentation techique on my Blog where all cultic ritualised fiction appears in italics, and/or red, to denote that it is not a traditional use of the English language and is, therefore, effectively meaningless drivel controlling not just the Bots' reality, but also the reality of all casual observers.

George Orwell came up with essentially the same explanation of how totalitarianism functions (by controlling, and ritualising, human being's means of thought) which I've borrowed and adapted.

NameChangeEr · 26/02/2016 12:08

patzy bless, I only watched a minute, but your bot clearly is clearly love with Nathan and wants to have his babies. Nathan on the other hand is just playing on this and hopes to get people under his downline, not help her out.

I'm guessing all of the 30 watches on YouTube are sadly from us not anyone else.

sminkypink · 26/02/2016 12:13

I'm loving the vid, its keeping me thoroughly entertained while I work this morning. #laptoplifestyle #bossbabe #parslaiprincess . I do hope that someone tries using these cheesy scripts on me. :D
And, yes, shes' got the hots for 'Nathan guys'

NameChangeEr · 26/02/2016 12:13

That before and after hair picture green posted is clever. They've not labeled the pictures before and after, so any one asking she would just reply "the first picture is the after picture, showing the amount of shine and good condition" whereas they want you to think it grows your hair.
Sly, slimy and cunning.

Eyespying · 26/02/2016 12:13

The purpose of 'MLM' jargon is not only to provide a medium of expression for the unquestioning world-view and mental habits proper to the core adherents of 'MLM', but to make all other critical and evaluative modes of thought impossible. It is intended that when 'MLM' jargon has been adopted once and for all and traditional language forgotten, a heretical thought - that is a thought diverging from the 'positive' princiles of 'MLM' - should be literally unthinkable, at least so far as thought is dependent on words.

This is a straight paraphrasing of Orwell's appendix to 'Nineteen Eighty Four.'
