throwingpebbles · 07/02/2016 09:20

Just seen a bot posting that if people can't afford the start up cost to join Forever Living then they can ask about the £2 /week payment plan Angry

(Can't put the post here as it had her profile picture as the background)

I'm very very tempted to share the timeless vie link... Might get a few reactions!

£2 a week payment plan, how do they they you will be able to buy all the personal use items then?? Sooner people see these scams for what they are the better.

sminkypink · 07/02/2016 09:26

Weasle words: I'm reading Go Pro. Worre talks about prospects being educated about the opportunity. My bot told me I wasn't educated about the opportunity.
What this actually seems to mean is that you haven't caved, yet, you haven't been signed up, you've not yet been persuaded to say yes.
The deception they use to get you to agree is just awful. And he tells you to be sincere.
How can you claim to be sincere when the whole flippin thing is about tricking people?

sminkypink · 07/02/2016 09:32

Note the amount of harrassement, the amazing opportunity is so amazing you have to pester the average Joe with presentations and meetings four to six times before he caves. Plus the constant victim blaming throughout the book. If it doesn't work you didn't follow the plan.
Its hard to educate someone in one exposure. Yup, brainwashing takes time.

Someone with a bit more skilled than me could replace the first photo with a picture from a FL training day.

I feel sorry for the poor fuckers who were prospected ten times then caved. Lets have a minutes silence for them.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2016 09:37

I've been reading some blogs set up by distributors - nearly all the responses seem to be from women in difficult circumstances wondering how they can pay (a goodly number of whom are from eg Uganda or Tanazania) and the response is invariably 'Send me your email and we'll discuss/ I'll email you to explain.......' that sort of thing.

They don't expect people to be able to pay easily. They don't much care, I guess. (And I was heartsore at most of the posts from these poor people.) 'Rope 'em in' is the aim.

Rudechoob · 07/02/2016 09:51

I feel sorry for a certain castle dweller. Looks like its yet another weekend of having to play host and entertain fellow, evil members of the aloe deceit club.

crazycatlady26 · 07/02/2016 09:54

what disgusts me even more is this asshole made a fake profile under my best friends name. here's the proof of them insulting my children, disgusting!

clarins totally agree, that picture reminds me of all the FL event photos

Eyespying · 07/02/2016 09:58

cozietoesie - I fear these poor women are going to be instructed how to obtain micro-finance loans. In the past, I have been contacted by Hugh Sinclair, a whistleblower who has written a book about the murky world behind Micro-finance fairy story. He'd read my articles about micro-finance and 'Herbalife' in the USA and he confirmed that the mainstream media's critical faclties invariably seem to be switched off by the term 'micro-finance.'

darceybussell · 07/02/2016 10:03

Oh crazycatlady that is just horrible! Is that in response to something you wrote on FB? Eyes, what did you say that was called? Was it bull baiting? It's classic cultic behaviour. Do not let them get to you! We are all here for you!

cozietoesie · 07/02/2016 10:10

Thank you, Eye. I may get that.

crazycatlady26 · 07/02/2016 10:10

this is in response to me posting on facebook that all my family and friends should run for the hills if they are approached by someone offering "an amazing business opportunity" I was a short term fl member, won't say bot because I was a bit wary from the beginning anyway. I liked TV's video about EC and all my "team" must have been watching my every move on FB because I was kicked out of all the groups/group chats and told I had been abusive when all i did was like a video, I didn't even comment on it! twisted or what?! I've blocked all FL members from my friends list so they're clearly riled and made fake profiles to harrass me. I also had a snake who was reporting back my every post so had a huge friend list clear out as well. hopefully that's the end of it all. bitter, twisted and brainwashed, good luck to them! #luckyescape

crazycatlady26 · 07/02/2016 10:11

thanks for the support as well! means a lot

Eyespying · 07/02/2016 10:13

darceybussell and crazycatlady26 Stuff like this is maliciously designed to make cult challengers angry and to stop them from thinking.

Essentially the same technique is used in pro-sport, it's called sledging. The classic example was when Zinadine Zidane head-butted an Italian defender in the World Cup final. He'd apparently been niggling him for the entire match and he made a crack about Zidane's sister being a whore. The Italians won the World Cup, largely because France ended the final a man down.

Wheresthattomoibabber · 07/02/2016 10:13

Crazycatlady - that's awful. Well done on being so strong.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2016 10:14

You were kicked out?

Result.

(Those were vile remarks about your family and my sympathy goes to you - I'd have been quite raging!)

JolseBaby · 07/02/2016 10:14

Crazycat hope you called them out on it. Appreciate it doesn't address the root of the problem (that these people are arseholes), but could you review your FB settings to try and stop people you don't know/trust from posting and commenting on your wall?

crazycatlady26 · 07/02/2016 10:23

yeah my profile was on private so I had to accept a message request to see who was messaging me. i've blocked 3 fake profiles in 2 days, and when I looked at my FB settings I changed it so that only friends can find my name if they search for it in the search bar. I reported and blocked the fake profiles. I was absolutely livid but I never gave them the angry reaction they were looking for. If I'd have got started I wouldn't have stopped, they think i'm scum for currently not working yet there's nothing scummier than a person who is nasty about children. when karma comes their way I hope I get to watch!

JolseBaby · 07/02/2016 10:26

Well they sound bloody persistent if nothing else! Hopefully they will get bored and give up. Just goes to show, if they were truly bothered about #EmpoweringWomen then they wouldn't bully them for changing their minds.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2016 10:28

They're not truly bothered though. It's just a convenient catchphrase.

Eyespying · 07/02/2016 10:30

cozietoesie I exchanged a number of e-mails with Hugh Sinclair. At the time, I'd tried to send my detailed concerns about 'MLM' ('Herbalife' in particular) to Grameen Bank officials in the USA, but I was met with piles of steaming bullshit. They kept insisting that I obviously didn't undertand micro-finance, and that Grameen Bank isn't a bank in the USA, because it doesn't accept deposits from the public.

You can imagine my reaction.

I actually understand 'Micro Finance' rather too well.

Micro finance institutions have raised capital in the form of 'donations'. They have also taken money from tax payers. In other words, MF institutions have acted like banks by issuing loans and charging interest, but they have not been subject to independent oversight like banks, nor have they been accountable to their de facto depositors because (by their very nature) 'donations' are not refunded.

In their present opaque form, Micro Finance Institutions could almost have been invented by 'MLM' racketeers. They have enabled countless destitute people not only to fall victim 'MLM' rackets, but also to become victims of a particularly insidious form of loan sharking.
