The targeting of students makes me Angry
The quotation on the PPT says "Ine of the greatest sources of illness today is an Empty Wallet. If you want to decrease the number of stomach problems or the ill-effects of depression, then give a person a chance to earn a living" (Rex)

An interesting take on a day in the life of a FBO... Rather more than 9-5 or part time... This was from a success day.

Also, apparently £25k/month (Hmm) is £225k/year Hmm

And "no pressure" - not from what we've heard...!

Eye - I'm three-quarters of my way through Masters of Deception so it shouldn't really surprise me that you were accused of paranoia.

I wonder how many mlms, or their supporters, have made donations to various UK governments over the years?

So, if trying to take the buggers out using traditional means is doomed to failure, how about attacking them with humour? I'd go to see Timeless Vie: The Musical Grin

Look what my ariix bot has just posted......

windy

I'm guessing your Bot is Irish 😀 that looks like it's from ECs appearance at Irish Success Day in January. Bots here are going crazy for EC (shakes head)

Mootpointer · 06/02/2016 19:12

A lot of our favourite bots are bragging about doing this & that for charity. Think small boys in Uganda being used as post fodder.

FL has this - Forever Philanthropies Inc of which the public face is Forever Giving.
Well let's check out how well it's all doing shall we

Give it a gander.

Eyespying · 06/02/2016 19:20

BSintolerant You ask a very good question. BTW Did you find the reference to me in Eric's book?

Tupperwarelid · 06/02/2016 19:26

Wow Windy that looks like really flexible working around the kids! Where do they fit in meals, school
runs etc ?

BSintolerant · 06/02/2016 19:30

Who in their right mind would believe this nonsense from a deluded FL bot? "You've only been in the business 8 days and are already nearly matching your Salary and Goals..."

Make it stop!

(Disclaimer I have nothing against routines)

MrGrumpy01 · 06/02/2016 19:35

Reminds me

That was attempt two as well.

BSintolerant · 06/02/2016 19:45

Eye I think I came across Masters of Deception from a link you posted in these threads. Thank you for that.

It's disturbing stuff isn't it? I wouldn't have entertained the idea of joining FL if I'd come across your blog, these threads and Masters of Deception beforehand. I had no idea what I was getting into, and how these schemes operated.

I wish I could alert my friend to the exact nature of what she's got into, but it will probably make matters worse. She's not been as communicative lately so I'm probably already on her list of negative people who must be exterminated. Sad

Eyespying · 06/02/2016 20:05

BSintolerant Back in the 1990s, along with Dr. Edward Lottick (the last Chairman of the 'Cult Awareness Network,' before it was destroyed by 'Scientology's' malicious lawsuits), I went to rural Pennsylvania to find Eric when he was still writing his book. He was just coming out of his own paranoid phase after having his life, and the lives of his wife and children, threatened by his 'Upline.'

At that time, Eric was literally destitute, even though he'd been presented as an 'MLM millionaire'. Ed and me took Eric for lunch and we spent the afternoon chatting. There were many times when he almost gave up trying to fight the 'Amway' mob.

Eric later came to speak to UK regulators at my instigation.

Eyespying · 06/02/2016 20:17

BSintolerant BTW Dr. Ed Lottick died last year, but I'd like to pay tribute to him for his boundless common-sense, kindness and support. It was because of men like Ed, that people like Eric found the courage to keep going.

Ed was a very brave gentleman who described 'Scientology' as a 'School for Psychopaths.'

Ed features in one of the best mainstream media articles ever published about the 'Scientology' racket.

Delurking.

Fascinating thread. That picture of the bot with the day 1 and day 30 'results' would be funny if it wasn't so sad. The only result I can see is a pair of Spanx and a slightly looser vest top.

An Ambot tried to sign me up years and years ago. I was asked what my life goals were and where I wanted to be in 5 years' time. Then the glossy brochure came out with pictures of vast bloody mansions and yachts. She then tried to explain that I would need to recruit people myself and the more I recruited, the better off I would be. I wasn't sold on the idea at the time, because it sounded too good to be true. I told a colleague (older than me) who immediately said that they were a nightmare. His flatmate had been involved and apparently after being discharged from hospital after a serious illness, they were on the phone pestering him about his targets and why he wasn't back at work. He was still recovering from surgery at the time!

Lovewineandchocs · 06/02/2016 20:59

cubic

DP principles state that data must be kept "only as long as is necessary" which most organisations take to mean "for business purposes" and usually have their own guidelines as to how long to keep it. In this case it would be kept as long as the person remained a "distributor" and should be destroyed upon termination of the distributor account or as soon as possible thereafter.

cozietoesie · 06/02/2016 20:59

I'll confess - as we're nearing the end of this thread - to an uneasiness with the use of the term 'bot' as above. I know that there are the 'High Heid Yins' (as we would put it) but I think, on reading, of nothing so much as a tired, scared bunch of (largely) women who feel in their gut that something is wrong with their life but don't know how to get out of their situation. 'Bot' doesn't seem all that helpful as a description.

Is there any way to help them?
