This case by case aspect of regulation, is revealed as a sick farce when you know that, in the UK, fraud is defined as lying to, or withholding key-information from, people in order to take their money.

All key-information revealing the actual catastrophic results of so-called 'MLM income opportunities' has always been withheld from the public, and the information which has been disclosed has been presented in a form which was maliciously designed to deceive potential victims.

The boys are still on the business page, with their private information for any old bod to see.

Ok so it looks like she invested £10k but was short of the final £5k. No wonder she feels too ashamed to stop.

10k....that's awful. Work colleague was at a scentsy party last weekend and causually dropped in to conversation that these are all scams taking money from the distributors. She said there was a woman she thought was really out of order as she was taking over everything and being really nosey ablut the scentsy girl's commissions etc. She brought out samples this woman had given her and there were the forever sachets....

I mean I dropped that in to conversation with her. Unfortunately she didn't say it was a scam at the meeting!

If you notice a lot of the mlm top bots are going for this big time, creating distance from the company ( it's still there but in the background) and putting themselves up as the brand.

Once someone is in, it is very hard to get back out. All we can hope is that it stops people joining, even if it stops one person surely that is a success (especially as by virture of stopping that person we have prevented their down line)

Yeah I'm guessing my bot is just trying other avenues for a while. Or gearing up for a big onslaught. Still think any awareness raising particularly with those not yet sucked in has got to be a good thing.

Putting pressure on people to work within advertising guidelines and encourage people not to make false health claims or spurious claims about potential income is a win fwiw ;)

I'm not sure I agree completely, after the Timeless Vie videos went up the top bots all took their business pages down from Facebook and deleted anything incriminating. All the videos that appeared on this thread were miraculously deleted within minutes of them appearing here. Forever living were so outraged that they made threats against MumsNet and their lawyers reported TV to YouTube. It might not be the whole reason for them going quiet but I definitely think some of them have been warned.

Hi all, I've been lurking on these threads for a some time, whilst watching my own Flbot with morbid fascination. I've been prompted to join in as she had recently started heavily pushing to recruit. We are colleagues and work with some quite vulnerable women. Last week she posted about having had a '1st steps to manager' meeting with one of them. I have requested a meeting with our supervisor and I want to be as prepared as possible before I go in.

The whole thing makes me feel ill

That's what I'm hoping cubic. It's a slightly complicated employment situation but I'm pretty sure she's breaching plenty of policies.

Are there really so many people out there who want to simply mimic others? If so, that's depressed me as much as anything so far.
