The. Slimming drops are for sale on a website in the USA for about £110 for the two bottles.
Ariix is mlm with bells on, extra batshit, extra expensive and rather bonkers medical claims.

Mootpointer · 05/02/2016 08:49

Mad as hell after reading this on CS page just - patronising and worrying too as she didn't blur those poor kids faces out. They're just another product to market.
"Just caught up with our boys in Uganda ...
We've just had to give a stern parental talk to..... aged 12 as he's being naughty at school
I love that we are able to step in & really guide these children ... Poor boy looked scared getting 'the talk' but he's vowed to prove to us he's got what it takes to achieve good grades and ultimately his goal of becoming a doctor
Little ....... aged 6 on the other hand is doing great & has now decided he wants to become a pilot
Taking 2 children with no aspirations turning them into little achievers is amazing

Makes me so so proud
Looking forward to our next catchup 💕
REALLY

Last I like 'scam of bots'.
Or how about an 'eek of bots'.
Regarding our so called jealousy, it's probably easy for them to tell themselves this as those of us who genuinely do have family-friendly part time jobs don't tend to plaster the fact all over FB. I'm in bed right now enjoying the cup of tea my husband fought me as he is working from home and can take kids to school while I nurse my cold for a bit before I do some genuine work (albeit in my pjs).
Oh and I don't belong to any forum criticising my many friends and family who genuinely do have fabulous, well-paying careers in all sorts of fields. Funny that.

TheCatsTiara · 05/02/2016 08:55

The Uganda thing is despicable and beyond exploitative

TheCatsTiara · 05/02/2016 08:56

Erm 'brought' me not 'fought' me

I don't like the way they market using their kids. It's dodgy.
They compromise their families safety. On public Facebook or Insta, they announce when they're away (i.e. not at home), we can see interior photos of their houses, we can see their jewellery, cars, macbook pros etc. One can often figure out what they have, when they're out and where it is in their house. It's horrible how they are being encouraged by their upline to behave like this. It's not safe. I would not feel safe!
And they are obviously suffering from the increased anger around what they do, it's plain to see but this is it, if you lay your private life bare, for all to see, on social media and brag and boast and call yourself a public figure, you will invite trolling and that can be very hard to deal with.

cozietoesie · 05/02/2016 09:12

£110 for two (small) bottles??

Their FAQs contain an 'important question' - all the questions are 'important' or 'useful' or something similar - where they were asked why the drops worked better in a context of a 1250 calorie diet with exercise - for 12 weeks. (I'd lose a couple of stone on that latter without even trying and I'm not heavy. )

They didn't actually answer the question apart from talk about Joseph in Egypt with the seven fat years and the seven lean years etc.

I normally lurk on these threads, but I want to add to the big respect to the ex bots coming forward, and all the regulars for giving up their time to create TV and dig around the dusty corners of the Internet to find out what's going on behind the shiny promises.

I'm also wondering if anyone else remembers a one off C4 TV drama from 1987 (my memory is not that good, I looked up the date on IMDb) called Upline? It starred Neil Pearson (the reason I recorded it as I had a huge teenage crush on him at the time) and Alexi Sayle. It was about mlms, no doubt based on Amway, and the damage they do. I remember scenes of grim 80s council flats with piles of unsold cleaning products in them.

If Netflix or Amazon are reading this, a new drama series on the subject of mlms would be good, especially as it's a very relatable subject at the moment as so many people have lost friends to mlm scams.

Or how about FL the musical, Aloe Dolly, featuring the hits-

There is a (rented) castle on a cloud

I dreamed a dream (then I put a hashtag before it and turned it into an inspirational meme)

You've got to pick a pocket

The hun(s) will come out tommorow (to the success day)

Who will buy? (all my excess stock so I can make my ccs this month)

And many many more... Grin

Eyespying · 05/02/2016 09:56

R0nJ0n Many thanks and welcome, I've never heard of that programme. Apparently, Hugh Laurie was in it as well

'Up Line' is apparently available on streaming, but you have to register.

Another thought, perhaps one of the people with a lot of mlm insider knowledge might like to contact Cracked? They have a huge readership, in recent years have been concentrating on insider type stories and are always looking for people to come forward to be interviewed for their personal experience strand. Below is a link to one of their recent personal experience stories if anyone wants to see the kind of thing they do. Mlms would be right up their street.

I like the collective nouns, and would like to add 'a swamp of swindlers' to the list.

Could some one clever make up a BOT-Bingo game?

Eyespying · 05/02/2016 10:25

thetemptationofchocolate

Have you seen this generic Bot board game which was designed to help brainwash train the uninitiated.

Annie65 · 05/02/2016 10:28

Cynic, she put a photo of Januarys cc's on fb saying she had done just over 7 cc's on her own and just over 8 business, (I assumed that meant her team had done that). One of her downline had done 5. I know she definitely has 3 downlines. I took off 1cc because that would be through her personal use, so 30% of the 6cc, would be about £400 and 5% of the downliner's cc's is £100. Phew, that was hard, if its wrong could somebody in the know work it out for me please, she is still assistant supervisor after 10 months.Smile
