Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

My only advice would be send everything they ask for from the start. It's a pain in the arse but seems if you don't then they say you haven't compiled and just drags it out longer. Have they said why they've stopped your money already? Normally you have a month to send the information and they only stop your money if you don't do that.

Hi, please help! I am so angry.
I received a letter (June) saying they believed someone was also living here. After contacting them they told the persons name, a woman I do not know!
I sent all stuff asked for, 12 mths statements, tenancy, bills etc. all sent by recorded.
I called a couple of times to chase but was told to wait, no case worker assigned etc.
I called last Monday (almost 2
Mths after original letter) and asked for an update and where all my documents were. The guy said no documents had been scanned in and he needed to locate them. I gave him the recorded tracking number and he could see it had been delivered.
I asked for someone to call me and me and let me know what was happening. I got a letter (was away so opened today) saying that I had not responded to June letter! That with the information they have (some woman called hameena nijar!) that I am not entitled to claim as a single person. I do not live with my kids dad. They will end my tax credit award from November 3rd!

They said they will amend payments for this year which no doubt means my money will stop!

Then at the end of the letter it says thank you for completing your annual declaration. We have completed our checks and accept your annual declaration in full.

I don't understand. I am so upset. I talked to them and they said they could see I had sent stuff in but couldn't find it so how can they say I have not responded! 😢

Allgoodnames, I have had no communication whatsoever from this bunch of goons. My money just stopped. I got the standard renewal pack from HMRC with a black strip (not red). I phoned HMRC and the advisor sent me another renewal pack - this time, it had a red strip.

I phoned them again and was then informed I needed to ring Concentrix...Wtf?!
I'd send stuff in but nobody has demanded I do this...so odd! Because of having no correspondence from them, I have been given their phone number, which nobody ever answers! I was on hold for an hour the other day. I had to put the phone down because I had to get back to work.

I had a letter from them saying they had evidence they had someone else living with me and I hadn't told them. In actual fact it's just my brother boyfriend! I'm so stressed trying to keep me and my five children going on next to nothing 😭

When you receive notification back as to their decision is it a recorded delivery letter they send. I have a card saying I need to get a brown letter from the post office . In my experience brown letters are never good!

My decision letter wasn't recorded delivery but was in a brown envelope. My returned documents though where recorded but in a white envelope!

I rang today and told them I would b makin a complaint , been waitin 3 months now and sent my docs to them within a couple of days of receiving another adult letter. Every time I call they tell me a whole new bunch lies, I was told a week n a half ago that my case would be looked at the same day and a desicion made but now they say they are busy dealing with people that hav had there money stopped first. The guy I spoke to was rude and asked me why I was worrying so much if my money hadn't been stopped! And after I said I was going to complain he told me he was working over time and would look at it this week for me. Not believing him tho just another line to get me off the phone I expect, he asked why I had rang so many times previously I told because I'm always advised to and I'm sick of this hangin over me. It's all I've thought about for the whole summer so sick of it

Shouldstartaprotest16 I phoned every week after they had my documents 2 weeks. I got the same old story each time about in the queue for decision makers etc. When I asked to be put through to decision makers I was told this was not possible as that department did not take calls. That is crap because the people taking the calls can also assess your file and close it. I got lucky one Fri evening when I phoned and the guy I spoke to assessed my file there and then and told me he was closing it. There are also lots of other people on this thread that got theirs closed when they phoned. It is so unfair but it just seems to be down to whoever answers your call and what they are willing to do. Mine was another adult letter. Really hope u get an end to this soon as it completely ruined most of summer and and a family holiday my mum took me and my daughter on as I was too worried and stressed to enjoy it x

Loulla that's exactly it it is down to luck of drawer on who answers your call , the keep tellin me it's not something that can be done over the phone as it takes time to go .through it all properly, they also told me that the reason cases are getting looked at is because of the high number of calls there havin to deal with, when previously i was told it was a complete different department that deals with it all. It's a catch 22 with the calling them up as 99 percent of people are fobbed off with lies but then there's also that 1 percent chance you may get your case looked at

Sorry if this isn't the right thread but I've been trying & trying to get thru to concentrix & it's impossible!
They sent me a letter last week saying my ctc have been canx due to not replying to their letter from june but when I renewed by tax credits by phone with HMRC they said I didn't need to give the info/docs regarding my childcare costs to concentrix because i'd done it with them. I'm in tears here! Just constant engaged tone or on hold for up to an hour - what can I do? HMRC said I must speak to concentrix... By advice would be awesome. Feel so stuck!

Hello all, I've also fallen victim to concentrix, 12th august my tax credits suddenly stopped, called hmrc to be told concentrix found evidence i have a partner, and they sent letter, didnt receive any letter apart from renewal pack which i completed online within the 31st july deadline, anyways when i got through to concentrix they asked for council tax details etc, posted stuff which they recieved on 16th august, called back concentrix same day. The guy was very un helpful and didn't have a clue as to how long process etc, problem for me is the fact im only on a 18hour contract i rely heavily on my child and working tax credits to see me through till payday only myself and daughter lives in my home, ive never had a partner living with me, i'm just a struggling single mother no boyfriend nor seeing anyone, i dont know what to do anymore, spoke with few friends they told me about mumsnet so here iam! I called concentrix on 03456003130 the line seems dead! As if theyve just uprooted and disappeard into thin air, called hmrc they was also un helpful just told me i have to speak to concentrix, didnt know a time span on how long it will take. Any tips on what i can do in the meantime? Im having to walk 1hour 45 mins to work and home again, back to school for my daughter next week i cant even provide pack lunch etc for her, thanks to concentrix my daughter and i are in hardship between concentrix and hmrc not bothered theyve taken away my tax credits and iam a genuine parent in need of it, I've become very depressed and i feel the ones they should stop payments to they dont and ones like me in need they take, please help Sad

I'm gonna try local welfare rights service if i don't get through again... Local service based at council - or if you don't have, maybe C.A.B? X

All you can do us send them everything and wait it, they did say to me last week though that their concentrating on people that have had money stopped first so you may not be waiting as long I have

I'm now terrified about all this. Phoned hmrc today to say that childcare costs will go down from next week due to dcs starting new schools. Advised that because I'd apparently made a complaint in May (?!) I would need to call concentrix. An hour and about 50 redials later I get through to a lady who takes new details but says that a decision is still being made.

I submitted all childcare evidence by return back in early June. Got it all back by recorded delivery mid July with a letter saying a decision would be made. Payments haven't changed - normally the first sign the award is on its way.

It has never ever taken this long before and I've been asked to prove childcare 5 years running. Because we use more then one provider and my needs fluctuate depending on the whim of Xh and his family, I am sure we've been overpaid this year. Not an issue, happy to repay anything and have kept some savings aside just in case, but what the hell is taking so long! Panicking I'm going to be taken to court or something Sad

So after calling yesterday and tellin them I was gona complain and being promised it would be looked at this week I can now for the first time since all this began finally log into my tax credits online and see my next payment date which is Friday, does this mean it's sorted ?

Shouldstartaprotest16 that's means it is sorted out as you are blocked out when it's awaiting decision. So pleased for you and hope you get your confirmation letter soon. My letter took 6 days to arrive but I live in Northern Ireland where they are based so yours might take a bit longer x

feelinsupersonic I usually found they will answer just before 8. At this time they are also more willing to look into your case for you if they are doing overtime. Good luck x

Oh my god! Just on hold for 53 minutes!!!!!!!! And then they answered & cut me off as I said 'hello' ! Fucking hell this is horrendous!
