Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

Hi everyone. I too received the usual 'another adult living with you' letter. I'm currently living with my family so just explained that & sent off only bank statements. I got my letter dated 27/7 saying no change needed. I only sent my info on 1/7 so was expecting to be waiting months like many of you. I can't believe how long many of you have been waiting. I refrained from calling them & just waited it out. I'm not even sure how they work & I know it's easier said than done as I did nothing but panic since receiving the letter but I honestly think the best thing to do is just leave them to it unless your money has stopped & fingers crossed everyone gets sorted soon. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck.

I'm really pleased you had such a positive experience and so quick! I think many of us thought our cases were really straight forward and would be easy swift resolutions but just dragged on and on. Maybe others have found the process and treatment as favourable but just don't post on here. Glad you are sorted and thanks for sharing, it gives everyone that little ray of sunshine.x

I rang Concentrix today re. my childcare cost claim. Still no update, even though I had my documents back three weeks ago. It's been eight weeks (and counting) since Comcentrix received my documents. It's so frustrating.

Jajagabour100 · 03/08/2016 15:03

Hi, my deadline to send in all of my documentation was the 8/7/2016. I had posted everything the week before. I was expecting a long wait, but received a letter yesterday saying that they will no changes to my award. I'm very relieved and grateful that I didn't have to wait for too long.

I haven't received my documents in the post yet, so may have to contact Concentrix at some point.

I don't know if this is helpful and I know it has been advised against, but i really didn't want any other letters asking for more information. What I did was to highlight all bills, ingoings and any child maintenance/cash gifts on my bank statements. I wrote a brief but specific note about each payment- what it was for, where it came from etc.

Good luck to everyone

Jajagabour100 · 03/08/2016 15:07

Ha ha, brief but specific! I meant brief as in short Grin

Kk88 · 03/08/2016 21:48

I also didn't ring up and ask for updates. Just left it and tried to not think on it. As at first I was losing sleep and feeling ill over it all.

I did my weekly Friday call today , it has now been allocated to someone on the desicions team but no outcome yet. Does anyone no how long it takes once that happens?.

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 05/08/2016 15:03

shouldstartaprotest16 I called on Tuesday and told mine was with decisions and I should hear within a couple of weeks. She said I could call back in a few days and they might have a decision. I haven't called back yet.

NordicNoirRocks · 05/08/2016 15:41

My case has been with the decision makers since 11th July.

Shouldstartaprotest16 · 05/08/2016 20:32

Yea mine has been with desicion makers for 5 weeks but has finally been allocated to sumone to have a look at, just wandered how long that bit of going through your stuff takes the desicion makers?

Hi all I'm new to this site!!! I have been reading all your stories and following them the last few weeks( I'm a lurker). Although never posted this page has been a great help for me as I too received a letter from concentrix about living with another adult. So I feel I should share my story in the hope it may help anyone else who may go through this in the future. At 1st I was in a terrible state over this letter panicking and sleepless nights. As I gathered as much information as I could ( I did not send as much info as many other people have mentioned but was enough) I currently live with parents and my kids but have not changed electroll from previous address (ex partners address) I explained this in a short letter and have asked if they could give me time to amend this. Everything was sent of on the 4the of June. I refrened from phoning for any updates and waited it out. And on 2nd of August 2 brown envelopes landed at my door!!! One had all my paper work and the other with a letter saying no changes to my claim. One thing for sure this has given me a kick to find myself a job where i no longer have to depend on tax credits ( I may even send them a letter of thanks as I'm sure they get many letters of complaint 😉) . Stay positive and know you are not alone when going through this.

Mumzyknowsbest · 07/08/2016 01:00

Congrats kk88! It's such a relief isn't it! :) I still haven't had my documents back and trying not to sweat.

Payments have resumed but I have a change to report in september and after this ordeal, not looking forwards to it. Still we must continue on and do our best to improve our situations.

Weirdly, my friend who ignored the letter regarding childcare still hasn't had any money stopped but I guess with child care over summer, you wouldn't notice a difference. My advice remains the same, if you get these letters, give everything they ask, as soon as you can.

Losing money is never fun.

Overtiredbackagain · 08/08/2016 18:01

Do they send decision letters back Royal Mail Signed For does anyone know? I came home to a red postman card and I can't get it til Thursday and have no idea what it could be apart from tex credits decision letter Hmm

Lovelyname · 08/08/2016 18:08

Overtired, have you had your documents back? My documents were sent back signed for. I bet it js driving you mad not knowing what it is

Overtiredbackagain · 08/08/2016 18:17

No but all my statements were printed from online, so wasnt expecting them back. I'm entering my 13th week now, half hoping it is decision but half hoping it's not as I know I will be getting an overpayment Angry

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 08/08/2016 18:33

I also printed my bank statements from online banking and they where sent back to me via Royal Mail signed for. Wasn't expecting them to send them back either but they did. Maybe because it's bank statements because they didn't send other things back I had printed from online accounts.

Overtiredbackagain · 08/08/2016 18:39

Maybe then, but they were scanned on the system 12 weeks ago, they'd have sent them back before now surely?

Shouldstartaprotest16 · 08/08/2016 19:11

I am also keen to know if they send desicion letter via Royal Mail signed for?

Overtiredbackagain · 08/08/2016 19:14

Should - have you had one too?

Lovelyname · 08/08/2016 19:21

I received my docs back after about 4 weeks, i'm now on 17 weeks and not heard anything, apparently with decision makers for the last 4 weeksConfused was your letter about childcare?

Overtiredbackagain · 08/08/2016 19:24

Same as yours Lovely, and expecting overpayment because I wasn't aware you couldn't claim element of vouchers

Squiggles2390 · 08/08/2016 19:26

With regards to getting decisions signed for, my decision was just normal post. I think that if u send ur documents to them signed for they said them back the same way or so I was told on the phone

Shouldstartaprotest16 · 08/08/2016 19:37

No I haven't had the same, was just wandering if il hav to wait ages for it to come through the post as mine has finally been allocated to sum one in the desicions to be looked at and am told that bit is done quite quickly, feelin anxious thus week and waitin on the post and if I hav my tax creds go in fri

Gemclippo1 · 10/08/2016 13:43

Spoke to Concentrix an hour ago....my claim has been with the decisions team since 15th July and it's still a other 2-4 week wait for it to be assigned to someone due to the backlog. I made one claim in June last year have never claimed before and have not started a new claim for this year as the whole end to end process is just hard work. All I want to do is find out if I owe money (don't see how with the amount I pay in childcare!) But HMRC are adamant I owe and referred it onto these Muppet's!! One can only wait.....and wait....and wait....please can anyone tell me what happens after the decision has been made??

Lovelyname · 10/08/2016 14:42

Gemclippo, my paperwork has been with the decision makers way before 15th July and I've still not heard. It's just ridiculous. I know i am being over paid but they cant do anything until they have made their decisionAngry
