Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

I've just had the same letter! After sending recorded delivery almost 7 weeks ago and speaking with them about 15 times since! Giving them my tracking number and everything, just balled my eyes out down the phone to them, they have stopped my payments yet I pay over 1000 a month in childcare as I work full time, I can't go to work if I don't get help with childcare? Then I can't pay the mortgage? I'm on my own with two kids is that not hard enough! They have said the documents haven't been received so I need to send documents again, how can I send original documents that are lost somewhere??? I am going to call up hmrc tomorrow, sick to death of dealing with concentrix and getting different answers all the time

Morgani97 · 13/07/2016 09:16

Mumsy, try and get everything together and send it ASAP. Like you they stopped my money without warning saying my evidence wasn't enough and they didn't give me the chance to get more evidence! Myusernameis did they give you a reason for stopping your money?
There were times when I felt like giving up but I didn't,I had to send an MR which was rejected then I appealed,it didn't even go to court. DON'T give up no matter how hard it seems. You WILL get through this x

They told me since I had not responded to their letter, I have been on the phone constantly to ask what's taking so long, I've done everything that's been asked of me yet they have stopped them anyway, I've asked them what it is I can do now in regards to sending documents an they have said take it up with Royal Mail to get my documents back to send to them?? What like they have a magic wand and can find a lost letter??

Morgani97 · 13/07/2016 09:55

Myusername, can you get the evidence together again and re send it,did you sent the last lot recorded delivery? I do know there's a huge back log but that's no excuse. If you can get the evidence together again send it recorded delivery then you can keep track of it x

OP posts:
Myusernameis2016 · 13/07/2016 10:07

I did send it recorded delivery, but apparently because it's a PO BOX address and because of the volume of letter they are receiving they don't get signed for individually, it's in bulk, and it's only when concentrix acknowledge the letter on their system that Royal Mail tracking gets updated, I've sent them all original documents, solicitors letters and restraining orders, mortgage applications, I need it back to proceed with getting my exes name off the mortgage or I'm gonna be going through all this again next year since his name is still on it!

Morgani97 · 13/07/2016 10:22

Myusername that's disgusting, get on to the Royal Mail and persue this.they use every excuse in the book it really really annoys me. Also if you can ring them ask to speak to a manager and get their name too x

Thank you Morgan :) Yes I've just spent 2 hours printing everything out. Now I'm flapping around wondering whether to write little notes on my statement where my ex pays maintenence and other bits and peices. From the phone call it seems they know he doesn't live here but that they think we're financially linked. The only thing I can think of is, that he pays for my daughters sky since she wanted disney channel. It's been like that for years though and I never see a bill, so he must get them to his house. So not even sure, if they're just fishing or if they would actually know about that. I keep thinking just tell them and then thinking don't give them fuel. I think I'm going to just give them what they asked and no more (except for the little notes on the bank statement).

I've a little money to tied me over, maybe 2-3 weeks. I've asked my ex if he can contribute a bit more and he said he will - in cash please!!! (Ironic that now he is going to have to help with my household bills) Darent tell my parents because I used to be terrible with money and the last few years have really redeemed myself, getting on top of my finances and now look at me. My other plan is to hustle like crazy. I'm self employed (this will probably be next on concentrix agenda) so I'm going to go hard trying to get more orders. I will ofc let them know about this, when the ordeal is over but a sista has to eat.

Overtiredbackagain · 13/07/2016 12:56

I'm now in my 9th week of waiting - I know they received and scanned everything because I called them, was told a massive backlog, so I am just sitting tight for now.

I know I will have an overpayment because I wasn't aware you couldn't allow for the voucher element, but I shall continue to wait.

What's the longest anyone has waited for an update so far?

Morgani97 · 13/07/2016 18:55

Mumsy just highlight the payments from your ex make it short and simple as obviously they don't have many brain cells between them lol. I wouldn't mention the sky thing tbh as you don't have a bill to show payments. You're doing the right thing just giving what they ask for,I've noticed a lot of people on here put in a cover note explaining different payments I just highlighted mine and thankfully that was enough. Fingers crossed for you x. User your situation just goes to show they do clutch at straws most of the time. Fingers crossed for you and everyone else in the same situation x

Well, I posted the evidence this afternoon. Cost me 9 quid! At least dick turpin wore a mask O.o Realized later that the council tax bill was my latest bill 16/17 and not 15/16 though... I'm not gonna resend the other one cos it will only confuse matters. Gotta say I'm a bit concerned that the lady on the phone was acting like just send in the evidence and if all is ok we'll reinstate your tax credits when i've read these threads... it is not so simple is it. Anyway, I've gave myself to ruminate over it and tomorrow, it's hustle time. So glad to be able to post here and get it off my chest

Morgani97 · 14/07/2016 07:40

Hi mumzy, keep hold of any receipts you have re sending your evidence as you can claim it back once you've been reinstated. Might take a while thoughx

Phoned concentrix after 7 2nite to be told that my case has been closed with no changes, can't tell u how relieved I am. They have had my documents from the 14th June hadn't phoned them yet as was just going to wait on the decision letter so glad I did. He said the letter was dated the 25th June but as yet I haven't received it,so he read it out to me over the phone, basically saying that my case has been reviewed and that they don't need to make any changes to my award so all payments will remain the same and that the case is now closed! Thank god for that!

Morgani97 · 14/07/2016 21:06

Ahhhhhh User I'm so pleased for you, can't believe they take so bloody long to let people know, your letter is dated 25th June!!! That's awful x

user1467019044 · 14/07/2016 21:24

I know why does it take so long for letters to arrive after they r posted,it was the same with my intial letter it was dated 20th may but I didn't receive it until a wk later. Tues and wed were bank holidays in ni so that prob hasn't helped,I'm sure it will turn up anyway now. I'm happy enough that he read it out to me over the phone though, just gonna forget bout it all now and enjoy the rest of the summer with my kids, total process for me has been 7 wks since I received the letter, they have had my documents for just over 4 wks.
Goodluck to everyone else my call was answered straight away that was at 7pm this evening.

Loulabell09 · 14/07/2016 21:45

user1467019044 that is fantastic news. I am dying to phone now as they received my docs on 9th June and I've heard nothing but am away with family until Sunday and have no case number with me. So pleased for u and it gives the rest of us a bit of hope to hear good news. Enjoy your summer with the kids, u deserve it after all the worry u have been through xx

Lovelyname · 15/07/2016 12:34

User, thats really fast. I have been waiting 12 weeks now. Ive phoned lots of times and heard nothing. Was your letter about childcare or another adult loving with ypu

user1467019044 · 15/07/2016 14:25

It was about another adult living with me, I think it might be because I didn't have many documents I only have one bank account, have no legal papers as I am not divorced yet and because I live in ni I don't have water bills or council tax. However I did comply as I sent them all my utility bills tenancy agreement,I nvr included anything extra just what they ask for. It wouldn't surprise me if they processed mine quicker because of this. They had nothing on me anyway,my ex name showed up here due to o2 making a mistake when transferring the contract over to me,basically they changed the address and bank details to mine but kept my ex name on the contract, hence the compliance check, however they could clearly c from my bank account that i pay it,my ex has nvr lived at this property so there was absolutely nothing else linking him here. Not sure what is keeping the letter although he read it from start to finish over the phone so was happy with that. going to c if I can get logged into hmrc to c if my renewal has now been processed!

Loulabell09 · 15/07/2016 16:31

user1467019044 I am in NI also so am going to phone Monday when I get home as we are sort of same time with dates and similar circumstances. Will u let us know when letter arrives please just to work out time it takes thanks x

Mumzyknowsbest · 15/07/2016 16:59

That is fast user, must be such a relief. Really wished I'd just sent exactly what they asked for now. I just took them for their word that they thought someone was living with me and having been through it before, knew exactly who they meant. So thought that was better proof. Ah well, paying the price now. Just hoping mine doesn't get dragged out as long as some ladies here, I don't know how Morgan managed 14 weeks and another lady 26 weeks. I shudder to think about it.

user1467019044 · 15/07/2016 17:28

Yes loula bell I will let u know when I get the letter,or been over 2 wks so don't know what's keeping it hope it's not lost just want it in my hand now so I can draw a line under it all.
Mummy I'm just guessing that's why mine was looked at quickly don't know for sure hopefully u will heat something soon, can honestly say it's been one of the mist stressful things I have evr been through, the timescales r so ridiculous it's all so wrong.
Had an online chat with hmrc 2day bout renewal had forgot to add in my last pay check in Apr last yr b4 I started claiming income support,so he updated my renewal and said it could take upto 8 wks. No mention of concentrix so assuming they have been updated as well.
Come on letter u just have no faith in them, although he did read it out from start to finished also giving the date it was issued so assuming all is correct and he gave me the right info, they have turned me into an irrational person even after being told all is well I can't really relax until I have the letter,it's such a horrible thing to go through.
Will keep u all posted x

user1468601238 · 15/07/2016 17:51

Concentrix requests are unreasonable especially considering the a=mount of sensitive data to send to a US company since the invalidation of the Safe Harbor agreement. Here my thoughts. please share yours www.hmrc-concentrix.co.uk/

Loulabell09 · 15/07/2016 19:30

Hey just off the phone to Concentrix and spoke to a lovely girl who had a look at all my documents and said she had double checked I had sent everything they had asked for, she said it was now being passed to decision makers tonight and to give it a week and phone back. So frustrating that still no further on but at least she assured me that it was being passed on tonight which I will say to them next week when I phone x

Loulabell09 · 15/07/2016 19:51

Starting to worry now as some people get an answer on the phone. Thinking now she just said about decision makers as she thought it didn't look good. Panicking now wishing I hadn't phoned. Any thoughts anyone x

user1467019044 · 15/07/2016 19:52

That's great loulabelle u should have an ans soon enough then, makes u wonder if u hadn't have phoned would it be being passed on tonight, they definitely don't seem to be processing them in order for some reason, who knows what way they work!fingers crossed for u I'm sure everything will be fine x
