Well, my moneys been stopped
When i got the letter back in June, I had not long before that had a meeting with the compliance officer at the jobcentre (which was really weird since I only claim working tax/child tax and a tinsy bit of housing benefit). It was to do with my ex using my address for various things in the past. I'd already had this issue before and had asked him to change the address over to which I believed he had. (I don't get letters anymore). So I went to the first interview armed with evidence he'd given me, like his tenancy, utility bills etc and the officer closed the case immediately.
So when I got the concentrix letter, I was like oh I know what this is about, so just whacked all that info I'd shown the jbc in an envelope and sent it off. Fast forward to today and I get aletter saying my award has been amended (suspended) because I didn't reply to their first letter. I did, ok I didn't send all that info they asked for because I thought it could be nipped in the bud just like with the jbc. Also, I read one of these threads on here and saw that lots of people who knew what the situation was about, just addressed that issue with them and had their cases closed. Well nope, my money has been stopped :/ I didn't even get a request for more evidence, when it was all well in time before the deadline...
They said I have until the 31st july to get in all the info they requested the first time around - but my award is still going to be suspended until ... well look how long its taking for everyone else. A long azz time. I'm beside myself really. No clue how we are going to get through summer. I'm scraping together all I can right now.
My advise would definitely be to just send everything they ask. No beating around the bush. The lady on the phone said it isn't really about a person physically living with you but whether you are financially independent. I'd go even further to say, they just want people to slip up or give up.
