Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

Cheers concentrix101 some very worried people on here and you have done a great job of explaining the process. Many thanks

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 03/07/2016 18:12

Thanks for all the information Concentrix101, that's really helpful. I sent all the information they asked for and explained why my Virgin media account is still in ex's name (Virgin won't change it without his permission, he refused and I can't get another provider in my area yet).

Bea38 · 04/07/2016 17:43

Thanks for the info concentrix101, my prob is that I didn't recieve the first letter and now they've taken my WTC, I'm worried reading on line etc that it can take a long time for them to get bk to u in the mean time I am having to not pay some bills as I can't afford to pay everything 😪

Blabla85 · 04/07/2016 19:12

I sent my documents over two weeks ago and they still saying they not been recieved 👎 My cut off day was Friday so worried money will be stopped even tho I have sent all evidence off

Morgani97 · 04/07/2016 19:13

Concentrix101,thank you so so much for the information,I'm sure it's put a lot of minds at rest. My check was with HMRC but was exactly the same thing. Fortunately for me I eventually got things sorted. Thanks again for taking the time to write your post x

Hey everyone just wanted to check in and let u know I phoned again yesterday and was told to give it another week and then phone back as there is a massive backlog. I have decided after reading what Concentrix101 has posted and explained I am just going to wait until I receive my letter as I now realise that I have sent everything asked for and explained what I felt I needed to in a cover letter. I feel so much better now it has all been explained in detail as I am sure most of u do also. Blabla85 have u a tracking number and date of postage? If u do phone as soon as u can and ask to have it added to your case notes and ask for a deadline extension. Hope everyone is keeping ok and not feeling so worried and stressed x

Lovelyname · 04/07/2016 21:55

Loulabel, i phoned 3 weeks ago and they told me to try again in a week but i have just left it. they are a waste of time, i will just wait for a letter now but cant help but worry

Blabla85 · 04/07/2016 21:57

Yes I have both! I will ring tomorrow and get it added last rang Thursday morning and they still not got my documents so I try again tomorrow x

Duffy26 · 04/07/2016 22:17

Iv still not heard anything bk yet and they got my documents 10 weeks ago, really want it all sorted but still scared to get the letter back at the same time Sad

Loulabell09 · 04/07/2016 22:25

Lovelyname I know it is hard not to worry but the way I am thinking about it is if I don't stop stressing I will put myself mad lol. I hope u get news soon and everyone else that is waiting also. Blabla85 phone asap and make sure they take all this info and get the name of who u speak to. At least u will know u have done everything u can x

Loulabell09 · 04/07/2016 22:36

Duffy26 i remember u saying they looked at your documents when u phoned last week. Really hope that letter drops through the letterbox soon. No what u mean about being scared though but at least it will be good to have an end to this x

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 04/07/2016 22:43

I got the dreaded letter today. Well, not from Concentrix, but from HMRC saying that I couldn't have earned just shy of £3000 last year while working 37 hours!!! They said they were going to put my hours down as 6!!!!

The fact is, I had a baby!!!! I took mat leave with Maternity Allowance. Idiots! I am going to ENJOY sending in the documents that will show up their utter incompetence.

Duffy26 · 04/07/2016 22:49

Me too loulabell09 really hope it's all fine and I don't have an overpayment but I highly doubt it, a girl can wish though haha xx

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 05/07/2016 11:35

Will my tax credits get stopped after the cut off date if I still haven't heard back? I sent all my documents back within a few days of getting the letter, so my cut off date is in a few days and I know they have my stuff, so since the delay is at their end, will my money continue just now?

user1465562572 · 05/07/2016 12:04

They have nothing on me, they just being opportunists with me, I've had a chat with my advisor who laughed and said don't worry see u on 11th. I'm not contacting hmrc or Concentrix now. They've pretty much harassed me, and this will be thrown st them next week. And after that they can write to me or my legal
Advisor.

Jajagabour100 · 05/07/2016 14:00

It is unbelievable. The other adult who they thought was living with me, was in fact the previous tenant. I explained this to them but still had to send everything in. I had read another person's post, who was in the exact same position and their ctc was stopped. I'm worried about and I have done nothing wrong.

Jajagabour100 · 05/07/2016 14:04

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 did you send the package via recorded delivery? My was recorded as delivered on the 1St of July, my cut off date is the 8th. I'm going to ring tomorrow and give my recorded delivery reference number. If the ctc is stopped, I will be incredibly angry.

NyronNosworthy · 05/07/2016 14:09

Hi all- was anyone aware that you can check your tax credits online now?

You need to set up passwords etc but you can make changes and also check you next payment dates and amounts, it might help some of you who are scared that your payments will stop suddenly?

Go to www.gov.uk and search tax credits

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 05/07/2016 14:14

Yeah it was all sent special delivery and I called to make sure the first lot had arrived and was told it had been scanned in to the system, I also sent more stuff last week I think or week before and I received all my documents back from them on Saturday, so they've obviously scanned those in too. There was a letter enclosed saying they'll be back in touch with a decision so they've definitely got all my stuff. Just hope my money doesn't stop while they decide as its not my fault they have such a backlog.

Blabla85 · 05/07/2016 14:42

I rang this morning and spoke to a lovely man who said my items were scanned on 2nd and said as long as what I sent them what they asked for before the cut off date then my payments will continue as normal

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 05/07/2016 14:52

That's good to know, Blabla85. My cut off is the 8th and I've already received my stuff back from them so I know they've got it all.

mouseymummy · 06/07/2016 10:53

I've just had the letter!! Bollocks!!

Single parent, they want proof my ex doesn't live here... Slight problem is, he's on the tenancy.... He left and didn't follow the procedures to get him removed.

I've asked for a letter from my housing officer, waiting on a call back to see if he can do that

I've got the csa docs to show he pays maintenance to them as we have no contact.

I've got my income support letters to show I claim as a single parent

Bank statements are being printed off as I speak. I've also got my council tax to show its just me liable for the bill and a housing benefit statement to show the same.

Awaiting letters from my energy compNy and I'm looking for my water bill. If I can't find it by 2, I'm going to ring them too.

Anything else?? Obviously going to include a letter to explain the situation and court documents regarding my ex and the dv statement.

Gah!!

Blabla85 · 06/07/2016 11:42

Heya Hun , that why if flagged up on their system cause he on ur tenancy , what u have just explained seems fine Hun send off all your Info and covering letter and I am afraid it a long wait for their decision, your payments should continue as normal , try not to worry , just a pain to send all the info off x

mouseymummy · 06/07/2016 13:39

Yep, I shall send it all off. They're also asking me to fill out the renewel pack but I've already done that via the Internet.... Do I still need to do it via the paper pack too??? I've thrown that out 😳😳

Jajagabour100 · 06/07/2016 13:52

If you've done it online then don't worry. I've just done mine today over the phone as I can't find the renewal pack. I'm not too worried anymore. I contacted Concentrix today and my call was answered very quickly! The lady was very nice and explained that for single claimants they just want to check that you are financially independent and responsible for your bills etc. They received my documents on the 3Rd. Do you have to inform HMRC about child maintenance? I was getting nothing until recently, my ex husband is able to give £200 per month. I've informed the Job Centre and my local council already. I assumed I wouldn't have to because it says to not include child maintenance on the renewal pack
