Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

Hi Morgsn thank you for your kind words, I know it will be fine, as I haven't done anything, unless they make it up, then I have a problem.!

Duffy26 · 28/06/2016 16:08

Does someone have the number for concentrix as I sent my letter back by accident when i sent my documents to them 9 weeks ago and have not heard anything from them at all or received my documents ?

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 16:23

Duffy26 · 28/06/2016 16:38

Absolute joke I just called and spoke to a young man who had to put me on hold for 10 mins to check over my file for him to come back on the phone and told me and my manager have just looked over ur documents there and they should be received in the next week so I said what this is you just looking at them now u reviewed them 9 weeks ago this is a joke to be told sorry we have been extremely busy Angry 9 bloody weeks I'm not happy at all so I said everything is fine and sorted now to be told yeh how can does that work ? This is the second year running this has happened to me I hate concentrix

user1465562572 · 28/06/2016 16:53

Oh no that is bad so sorry Duffy, I'm in same boat, heard nothing but they seem to be picking on me for no reason prob to score brownie points

Duffy26 · 28/06/2016 17:19

I just can't believe they have had my documents for 9 weeks and they haven't even looked at them till I phoned them he even said have you not phoned before now, I said to be honest I should need to phone and chase it up u asked for the proof and I provided it by the time stated so why should I need to chase you to do your job absolute joke I'll probably get a letter saying iv done something wrong no doubt but I'm sick of it no wonder people don't work it's more hassle than its worth these days Angry x

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 17:24

Duffy feel so angry for u after 9 weeks, are they telling you that it will be another week until they are looked at, even though they spent 10 mins looking at them? I thought I was bad and I am only waiting 3 weeks since they received them. Looks like its going to be a shit summer for us and our kids then. Bunch of bloody Muppets. I will be phoning again Friday so will let you know how I get on. Can I ask what option you pressed? x

Duffy26 · 28/06/2016 17:32

No he said that him and his manager looked over them on the phone and everything seems fine I should receive my documents back to me in around a week so God knows how long I'll have to wait on my decision from it. I pressed option 5 then option 1 for childcare cause they wanted to know about my childcare cost which have been the same for the past 3 years and never changed this is why I get so angry with them they did this to me last year aswell and said I had an overpayment God knows how they came to that conclusion and are probably away to do the same again. I was also took in for an investigation meeting at my local job centre from hmrc 3 months ago saying they believed my ex was living with me I was like that's pretty hard we split 6 years ago and he lives with his girlfriend, iv never been so stressed in all my life than with this stupid company if I didn't need the money so much I would tell them to shove it. Yeh let me know how u get on and I'll keep this thread updated on mines aswell xx

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 17:47

Duffy that's great if that's case closed, hopefully they will get your documents back to u soon and your decision letter. Sounds like they are targeting people and trying to get them any way possible. Hopefully they will leave you alone now. Ridiculous after 9 weeks it still wouldn't be dealt with if u hadn't phoned. Afraid they will be hearing from me every few days until they deal with mine, I am not letting it ruin my summer before my dd starts school. So glad for u that it's over now x

Blabla85 · 28/06/2016 19:07

So angry sent mine off over week ago rang and asked was told they hadn't recieved my documents but may be in mail room.... Tracking just saying it left my post office .... I ring tonight to be told by a lady it my fault !! If they had them they would of signed for them! 😡😡

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 20:05

Blabla85 ring them tomorrow and give them the tracking number and tell them you want it as added to your case file. At least if it's not scanned on until after deadline they will be able to see it was posted and is not your fault so won't stop payments. Fingers crossed its there the next time you ring x

Blabla85 · 28/06/2016 20:10

Thank you I will do that!! They don't seem to give u correct info it so 😡😡

Jajagabour100 · 28/06/2016 22:19

Hi everybody, I received a letter a few weeks ago and I'm about to send my documents. I'm on income support as a single parent and the letter stated they have evidence of another adult here. I moved into my property just over a year ago and still get a lot of mail for my landlord and for the previous tenants. I contacted Concentrix and the name they had, I didn't recognise! I then realised it was the previous tenant. I explained the situation but I still have to send my documents in.

I wanted to ask if anyone has gone through their bank statements and highlighted ingoings and outgoings? My dad and brother gave me money last year as I was struggling. I had paid the deposit for my flat and the first months rent, I had nothing. In total they gave me £900. It was a gift, so it shouldn't be an issue should it? I don't really get maintenance from my ex husband on a regular basis as he doesn't have much money Angry.

Also does it matter that I'm separated and not divorced yet? I'm looking into getting divorced, but I need help with costs as it's very expensive.

Lastly, I don't live far from the Concentrix address. I don't know whether to post or drop the documents off. It is a PO Box, so I'm assuming it isn't an office.

Cheers

user1465562572 · 28/06/2016 22:58

Jaja hi welcome to the thread
It doesn't matter is your depressed and not divorced as long as you have no financial ties e.g bills, with the exception for msintenance. Agree with other poster they are Muppets and we all seem to be on a wild goose chase. Recon my summer hols will be ruined over this mess. I'm not phoning them anymore, I have proof of postage, they must be wasting money left right and centre. Unfortunately they can turn up on your doorstep like they did with me.

user1465562572 · 28/06/2016 22:59

Blooming typos ! It should read SEPERATED not depressed!

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 22:59

Jajagabour100 I thought I was the only one on here from NI. The address I had to post to was an English po box. I think they scan all the documents u send and then Concentrix in Belfast take the calls and case workers check them. I have an account that only my dad pays money into for birthdays etc for me and my daughter and his name is on lodgement so I sent birth certificate to show he was my dad as he lives in England and a cover letter explaining. I only sent what was asked for and a brief note of any lodgement on my current account that I thought they may querie as I don't want any more time wasted with extra info requests. But have to say some people advise not to explain or add anything , it is up to u what to do. Maintenance is not taken into account with tax credits so don't worry about that. They are looking to see your incoming and outgoings and that u r paying all your own household bills. I phoned and explained that we don't have council tax or water bills in NI and was told to send rates statement and explain in cover letter about water and send yearly statement if on prepay meter for electric. Make sure u send everything registered or recorded delivery so as u can track they got it as they lose stuff all the time. Main advice on this thread is send everything they ask for and keep a note of who u speak to and when if contacting them as they record all conversations x

user1465562572 · 28/06/2016 23:02

Also you should declare that extra money to income support . They will go spazzy if they find out by asking for your bank statements and you haven't told them. I only know this because input in some money and I had Compliance pay me a poxy visit.

Loulabell09 · 28/06/2016 23:06

user1465562572 thanks for that cause I never would of thought that presents had to be took into account and I am on income support and housing benefit.

Jajagabour100 · 28/06/2016 23:16

Hi, thanks for the welcome! Smile I'm based in south East, not Ni! The correspondence address is based in Worthing, East Sussex. You're right, I'll send the post via recorded delivery as I'll have evidence of postage. I'm getting stressed as I have to have posted it by 8th July, so I hope they get everything by then. Will the evidence from recorded delivery be OK? I'm worried they'll say they haven't received it if they are based elsewhere.

The whole thing is a pain. I've had to fork out loads on printer ink and paper. I don't understand why I have to send anything as their information is clearly wrong. It must be a fishing exercise, not really sure what evidence they'll get from bills etc.

user1465562572, depressed / separated! Lol Although the separation has made me very depressed :( Such is life. Did the company come to your property?? Was it prearranged or unannounced? How horrible xx

Jajagabour100 · 28/06/2016 23:20

The DWP already know as I have had my regular interviews with them and they have always asked to see previous 3 months statements. I thought maintenance wasn't taken into consideration

Loulabell09 · 29/06/2016 10:42

Jajagabour100 thought u meant u lived near to Belfast offices. I would post anyway so as u have proof in case they lose documents. All u can do is send what they have asked for and prepare yourself for a long wait as some people on here are already waiting 9 weeks with no reply x

Jajagabour100 · 29/06/2016 15:58

I've just sent everything off today and they should get it by Friday at the latest. I'm just worried about the £900 I got from my dad and brother. I did have a meeting at the job centre and they always ask to see your bank statements the deposit was there and I explained it and they were fine. Would that deposit affect the ctc? Should I have told HMRC? I assumed it wasn't an issue as it's a one off payment and the job centre knew about it. It's so confusing :-(

Jajagabour100 · 29/06/2016 16:00

I've also gone through my statement and explained the big outgoings and ingoings. I've got nothing to hide and I don't want another letter asking me for more information. Sad

wow23 · 29/06/2016 17:12

Hi, i have also received one of these letters, been waiting now for 10 weeks for a response. I was just wondering other people who have received this letter, do you receive income support as i receive just tax credits so was wondering if it was a different department i was dealing with than those receiving income support?
Thanks
