Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

Thanks louby thats reassuring. Can i ask how they let you know your close was closed. Did they just write to you? Was it concentric or hmrc

Louby76 · 21/06/2016 22:37

Wow23 I ended up calling them in the end as I was fed up with waiting & they told me over the phone that the case was closed. I then received a letter about a week later. It was Concentrix. Hmrc won't do anything if Concentrix have an opened case, that was the way it was last year, whether that's changed or not I don't know but I imagine it's the same.

Louby76 · 21/06/2016 22:39

I will add that I was on hold for over an hour to get through though! I was so frustrated with it all!

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 22/06/2016 14:48

I received my documents back today. Although I only sent my bank statements last Friday and would have arrived on Monday. So hopefully they've all been scanned now too. Doubt they'll send those back as they're just print outs from online banking. I also sent my utility bills that I was waiting for my previous supplier to send me. Wish they'd hurry up, still got a while to wait it seems though as I asked last week and she said up to 8 weeks!

woodly2013 · 22/06/2016 15:18

I sent all requested documents off yesterday at a cost of £1.46 recorded delivery. I also included a letter of complaint to Concentrix and I posted a separate complaint to HMRC to ask them to address the questions they failed to respond to in my first complaint. Don't think I'll get anywhere really but, they have to log complaints, respond and it will hopefully affect future contract management.

Rainbows911 · 22/06/2016 16:08

Anyone here changed their claim from joint to single then it's triggered a compliance ? I called today to chase my claim as it's been over 3 weeks without money and they've told me it's with the compliance team and don't know how long it will be. I think it because my X is on the mortgage but surely others must have been in this position ?!?! He said to wait for a telephone call maybe? MAYBE?! So he basically fibbed me off and couldn't tell me why I was having a compliance check despite receiving nothing via post.

Allgoodnamesaretaken1 · 22/06/2016 16:25

I changed from joint to single last June and this is the first I've head from them. Mine is because my virgin media account in in my ex's name. he refused to sign the account over to me last year but I spoke to virgin again a few days ago and they can change it to my name for a £20 fee.

Loulabell09 · 22/06/2016 18:22

Allsgood that's good that Virgin will do that as I tried with sky and they refused to let me take over the account. Said ex would have to pay early termination fee and then I would need to take out a brand new agreement in my name.

Blabla85 · 22/06/2016 18:40

Posted all mine off yesterday keep watching the tracking but still saying its on its way arghh just wanna know it got there!

wow23 · 22/06/2016 18:42

Blaba when i sent mine off recorded i kept tracking it and it said on its way for about 5 days. Royal mail said because they post so much to concentrix they cannot sign for every single item so although it says on its way chances are they have it. Its very frustrating

Flojohns80 · 22/06/2016 19:03

Haven't been on for a week so thought I'd check in..I'm still waiting to hear from them..whole thing has made me so ill lost so much weight and cannot sleep went to doctors and was prescribed anti depressants ha not taking them!..this has caused my relationship to break down and caused so much tension and arguements it's unreal..trying to act normal in front of my kids is so hard they know I'm not alright and it's so unfair on them..panicking about my tax credits being stopped and how will I afford to live as I worked out if they did I would have £80 a month to live off to provide food for my kids..it's awful stressing out so much as don't know what it is they think they know I've never had him living here ever!! But how do I prove it? Reading some of the stories on here from people just makes me feel sick..all I've done is tried to help him out and now I've got all this grief over it..sorry to rant on having a bad day haven't stopped crying have told my mum today and she was so upset..dealing with this the breakdown of my relationship and working two jobs and trying to be normal is taking its toll!!

Blabla85 · 22/06/2016 19:32

Sending lots of hugs ur way Hun, hopfully we will all have answers soon xxx

Loulabell09 · 22/06/2016 19:44

Flojohns80 feel the same as you and it is horrible. I wouldn't wish this on anybody and it infuriates me that this culling exercise they are carrying out is having such an inpact on people's lives when they are doing their best to care and provide for their children. It's ok for people to say if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. As far as I can see they are assuming we are guilty and it's up to us to prove otherwise. Bloody joke. I had my meltdown yesterday and today just getting angry lol. Try and get a good night's sleep it will make a big difference to how u feel as I got my first last night in 4 weeks and feel better. Big hugs and stay stong x

Rainbows911 · 22/06/2016 20:10

So has anyone actually had any success with it? At least your payments haven't been stopped. I've had no letter at all - just told that my case is with a compliance team. Would be good to hear all the outcomes of success and those who have had to pay back. I work 3 days a week and have two children. I earn £900 a month then £137 for child benefit every 4 weeks = £1037 to live off. My children go nursery twice a week which is £500 a month. I have a £685 mortgage to pay a l

Rainbows911 · 22/06/2016 20:13

Sorry my post cut off. I have a £685 mortgage to pay which X has said he will put some towards - let alone gas water and electric. He was the main earner in this house. So yeah I'm in my overdraft like no body's business and all I get from the TC office is we dno how long it will be.

Loulabell09 · 22/06/2016 20:21

Rainbows911 were u receiving tax credits and they are now investigating your single status or are u waiting on a new claim to be decided on?

Rainbows911 · 22/06/2016 20:29

Went from a joint claim to single. Been 3 weeks today since I told them and was told it would take 3 weeks max. Chased today to be told it's with compliance team and they dno how long it will be and can't give an update and to maybe expect a call?!?

Loulabell09 · 22/06/2016 20:41

Rainbows 911 hopefully they are just backlogged with claims and its taking them a while to get it finalised for you. Did they say compliance team with hmrc or Concentrix.

Morgani97 · 22/06/2016 22:17

Hi Louby I remember you from last year, pleased things worked out for you. I'd like to say to everyone whos going through this that if I remember rightly everyone who was on this thread last year were luck enough to get everything sorted out. All of this is so pointless as everyone sends what's asked for, when I send my evidence they said it was insufficient so I sent it again along with a complaint every single week along with a mandetory reconsideration which was rejected for reasons best known to HMRC so I appealed and won. I know it might seem it's easy for me to say don't worry but I've been where you are now and if you're not doing anything wrong everything will work out. Good luck to you all and massive hugs x

Loulabell09 · 22/06/2016 22:30

Morgani97 I followed your story the whole way through the thread and was shocked by what you and a lot of people went through. I am shocked that this has been going on for so long and nobody seems to know about it until it happens to them and they search online for help and support. Thank you so much for sticking with this and supporting people continuously x

Morgani97 · 23/06/2016 07:18

Ahhh thanks Loula.ive not been on here for ages and it makes me sad to see this is happening again,no one is informed properly I don't think concentrix or HRMC know what they're doing half the time x

Hi everyone just checking in for a bit of advice. It is 21 days since I sent my documents in and 15 days since I received them back with a cover letter saying they would be in touch and not to contact them until 15 days after receiving them. I am in two minds wether to ring them in the morning for an update or if to just leave it until they send a letter. Every day feels like a week and can't help sitting waiting on the postman every morning, turned into a bit of a stalker. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone is doing ok and staying strong x

Loulabell09 · 26/06/2016 19:36

Also forgot say my deadline date for sending was 25th which was Saturday x

Shell234 · 26/06/2016 19:48

I got my letter a few weeks ago saying i had a partner living with me .i checked my credit file and my ex is still on there from 16yrs ago .could that be why they are doing this? Im now worried sick as my new partner who has his own place , sometimes puts a bit of money in my account when im short and i pay him back. Even so.that doesnt mean to say someone lives with me does it ? Worried sick nowConfused

Loulabell09 · 26/06/2016 20:37

Hi Shell 234 try not to worry to much although I do it myself. If you haven't sent documents yet just put a cover letter in explaining anything you think they may question. I did this but didn't offer anything additional that was not asked for. My ex pays the sky at my address and still had phone and bank registered here as he hadn't bothered to change details and was paperless with everything. I phoned when I received my letter and they gave me ex's name and said it was mobile registered to this address. He has since changed everything to his current address that he can think of and after checking Experian it has all been updated on there also. May look bad only being done recently but at least he has now put it right as he feels bad it has caused so much worry and trouble for me. I am still waiting for reply and know how worrying it all is but do your best to keep positive. Helps to vent here as everyone else is in the same boat x
