My best friend has been assimilated. She asked me what I thought as some of her customers were pushing FL (she owns a beauty salon). I told her what I'd read on here - hello, excellent thread btw. Thought she'd took it on board but no. 10 FB posts this week. Been at a conference, wants to tell everyone what an AMAZING time she's had, she's getting a car and two free holidays yada yada. Starting C9 tomorrow, nice pics of all the shit that goes with it.

Sigh, even peddling the products in her salon. I feel like if I say anything I'll just sound bitter but I'm genuinely worried that it might have a negative effect on her business and also why my normally sane and intelligent friend has been so taken in.

I feel embarrassed at some of the words coming out of her mouth.

'Trying to raise money for the Butterfly trust charity to help those suffering with Cystic Fibrosis. I will be donating 15% of all sales up to Christmas 2015 from my Forever Living, Forever Healthy, Forever Flawless business. Xx'

Spikeypants02 · 20/01/2016 16:34

Done some snooping through EC's old FB account. I found a comment before she was in FL (ie when she was normal) saying she was going to move back to Wales mid 2014, but can't find it now. Then found the gem saying her house in Wales was bought by her FL "business" then found a gem shared from SC's page with their Manchester house for sale. Also seemed to be buying lots of nice things (iMac's & Ugg boots anyone) and don't look to impoverished before FL came along!!

Also Shaun Cooper and the resignation certificate EC posted from GMP in Feb 2015 doesn't fit. He tweeted that he was living in Cardiff in Aug '14 and was setting up as a PT in Oct '14. I don't get how so many things don't stack up. It looks like they were always leaving GMP anyway (bit of a long commute!!).

Botwatchers will find a mine of information here, including the names of all promoted, core 'FLP' adherents in the UK at the beginning of November 2015.

thanks for that link eye

i followed the private youtube link to find some info vids made for FBOs. it simplifies/clarifies some of the complex stuff.. and confirms that refunds come out of the FBO's pocket etc. Also, my kingpin bot is featured in that magazine Angry i'm sure they will be even more insufferable now!

Eyespying · 20/01/2016 18:36

MObiusgeek All these 'MLM' Pravada mags are remarkably similar.

On the bright side, your insufferable Bot now can't ever deny having once been an insufferable Bot.

Siwi · 20/01/2016 19:29

I would urge all BOTwatchers to watch Mobius's link.
It answers many questions, and raises them.

They are told not to retaliate to any negative activity.

From what I can tell, many fbo s have not watched this.

stopfaffing · 20/01/2016 19:41

eye I've been going through the magazine and found this. It seems that fl are concerned about the amount of "uncompliant material" that fl-bots are promoting on fb and other social media.

The more I read about FL, the more sinister it gets.
I have to say I find it fascinating how seemingly intelligent people are sucked in by it all. Very clever.

Eyespying · 20/01/2016 20:36

Stopfaffing -This 'FLP' magazine is perfect example of how 'MLM' propaganda is a complete inversion of quantifiable reality, written in a form of 'positive' code.

The Nov 2015 'FLP' magazine follows the usual, very specific, coded 'positive' pattern and is virtually identical to every other absurd 'MLM' magazine. Each edition has been essentially the same as all previous editions, but tucked into this one are various coded clues that alarm bells are now ringing at 'FLP' HQ.

Since the various complaints against 'FLP' were upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority, the 'FLP' bosses seem to fear that the organization is going to be monitored more closely, and possibly investigated by regulators. Thus, they are trying to maintain the lie that 'FLP' is an honest and ethical company which makes every effort to ensure that its 'distributors' are compliant with the law in every country where it operates.

If ever 'FLP UK Ltd.' gets investigated, its attorneys will point to misleading material like the contents of this magazine, and clam that this is absolute proof that any lies told by agents of the company were not approved by officers of the company.

sminkypink · 20/01/2016 22:03

When I reported some ads (on Instagram) to the ASA, I was given the impression that,
Forever Living are very much culpable even though their reps are supposedly independent.
I'm not the only one complaining by a long way.
They are correct if they think they are going to be monitored more closely.
Let's keep the pressure up.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 20/01/2016 22:40

I always read this thread with interest as I have a friend who is into FL and I'm watching her change before my eyes into some money grabbing horrible creature. Its so sad. She reckons she will be able to give up work by April. The first thing she's going to buy is, apparently, a black range rover evoque. 2 actually, one for her husband. I saw her today and she was showing me pictures of an 800,000 pound house in our town that she 'wants'. She lives currently in a rented 2 bedroom house. Apparently, she makes 35 pounds from every 100 pounds of products. Then her 'upline' gets a cut, and hers etc. The actual product must be worth pennies. They sell a bottle of forever honey for 15 quid. Honey! The sad thing is that she really does believe that she is going to live off this by the end of the year, but she is alienating her friends and that includes me. I have hidden her FB posts because its so fake and grabby. Thanks for all your research and for this thread, I'm glad its not just me!

IAmNotDarling · 21/01/2016 00:08

Eye which regulators are you referring too?

stopfaffing · 21/01/2016 06:43

I have posted a reply on the nethuns site in response to someone called Kristine. I suspect she is an fl-bot.

www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/working-childcare-692/working-689/1292022-forever-living-driving-me-insane.html

Feel free to add to it Grin.

Eyespying · 21/01/2016 08:47

thenewaveragebear1983 Up till now, thinking it's just you, has been a very common reaction when a person has witnessed a friend, or family member, get sucked into a 'Prosperity Gospel cult. These MN threads continue to demonstrate just how widespread this form of cultic racketeering is again becoming in Britain and how virtually no effort has been made by government agencies to gather intelligence and educate/warn the public. Legalistically, cults do not exist in Britain. Even in countries like France and Germany, where cultism has been taken very seriously by the authorities, groups like 'FLP' have been allowed to operate without any real challenge.

If it's any consolation, I watched my brother stick dream images of black 4X4 vehicles on his fridge, as part of a plan to achieve total financial freedom in 'Amway.'

Back in the late 1990s, my brother was so deluded that he completely believed that within 10 years all supermarkets would be closed in the UK and that 'Amway' would replace them. He laughed at me and insisted that one day I would kick myself for refusing to join him in his'business.'

When they get it bad, 'MLM' adherents behave like the members of a master race.

Eyespying · 21/01/2016 09:10

IAmNotDarling The UK regulators with responsibility for investigating suspected pyramid schemes are Companies Investigation Branch in the Insolvency Service of what used to be the Dept. of Trade and Industry.

www.gov.uk/complain-about-a-limited-company

Although the Serious Fraud Office is mentioned alongside the insolvency service, in practice the SFO is useless. Its own published performance figures (i.e. the ammount of money the agency has recovered for fraud victims in the UK) have been a advertisement (paid for by UK tax payers) for foreign-based major racketeers to come to the UK. The chances of getting held to account for a serious organised fraud in the UK, are effectively zero.

'FLP Ltd.' can first only be investigated by CIB on the grounds that the company has been breaking trading schemes, and/or lotery, legislation. CIB accountants could then then work out how much money has been illegally taken (i.e. how much 'FLP' has to pay back). The government Minister responsible would then file a Public Interest Bankruptcy Petition in the UK High Court requesting that 'FLP' should be wound up, because its assets exceed its new liabilities.

Only after a sussessful civil prosecution of 'FLP,' could a criminal investigation and prosecution ensue. However, the 'Mormon' racketeers who control 'FLP UK Ltd.' and the related frauds behind it, are all in the USA.

These 'Prosperity Gospel' rackets have all been set up to dodge toothless, and ill-informed, regulators. Consequently, they represent a major threat to democracy and the rule of law all around the world.

Tokelau · 21/01/2016 09:20

Stopfaffing, that was a great response. I don't suppose she'll agree with you though. Hmm

GreenGoblin0 · 21/01/2016 10:04

This link was sent to my Blog yesterday. The anonymous sender was probably the deluded young FLBot who appears in the video.

Patzy85 · 21/01/2016 11:01

Greengoblin - I love the way these fools defend what they're doing. Always 'helping people realise their true potential', 'allowing them to achieve financial freedom' and 'working towards their dreams'.

Sorry, what?

For every person one of these shameless, greedy sous helps there will be many, many more left out of pocket. Not to mention feeling pretty awful about themselves. The failure rates speak for themselves.

And to all the bots that read this (I know you do!), especially those who have bought their success and alienated every person they once knew who had common sense 'at the top' - you aren't doing this out of the goodness of your heart. You're trying to achieve your next bonus. You're not some kind of inspirational philanthropist, you're a con artist. And most of us can see that!

I bet you've seen a fair few people lose out, only to tell them and others that they simply didn't work hard enough when it reality it is only because (like many ex bots) they didn't lack morals and integrity to push this on to people.

So next time you post asking others to look at your materialistic lifestyle, please note that 90% of the people viewing it aren't "jealous", "haters" or "trolls" at all, I promise you that. They just find you to be shallow, dull and undignified. All the hashtags in the world couldn't buy back your soul.

GreenGoblin0 · 21/01/2016 11:06

haha brilliant patsy!

dreich · 21/01/2016 11:35

Never a truer phrase spoken. That deserves to be a meme in its own right.
