thinking about buying some advertising on FB for TV. thoughts? which areas should we concentrate on?

i was thinking if you (general you, bot watchers) are in an area with a high concentration of bots we could target advertising there. maybe have an add like "Lost a friend to an MLM? come and join us here!" something like that.

I noticed someone commented that they could sue us for the image. I didn't think of that to be honest and changed it as best I could (removed all logos etc) but if anyone knows anything about this and if it is worth replacing with something less risky (if we are in a grey area?) I am happy to make more changes or make another to replace if u have any ideas . They might have patents on the aloe, but judging by how generic the bottles are, I can't see it being an issue as we aren't actually selling a rival product of any kind or making profits.

i don't see what we could be sued for. fair use plus we're a satire page - it's not like we're trying to sell anything. we're also not using their logo, their name etc

My bot said my concerns over MLMs were 'interesting'. Interesting? Is that the way they shut you down now?

I struggle to see how they can sue you over pictures. Satire is allowed in this world. Then again, I am far from a legal expert.

Satire and parody are protected. I think TV comes under both although I am a little grey on parody/satire. We are parodying the products but also using satire to mock the brand itself.

It would be worth double checking though and we have used ZERO logos of theirs so there isn't a brand infringement.

There's a possibility there could be one on a bottle (Like cola has its bottle TM'd) but with their brand it is highly unlikely as they use generic bottles with a design V similar to other products. Even the Juice bottle is just like a regular US style fruit juice carton.

the parslife song would come under the parody/satire rule too so If we ever did record it, it would be OK ;)

I can't find it now, it may have been deleted but never mind.. If they try and sue us, it will cost them a fortune to try and sue for the grand sum of 0 from the real life £0 we have made from the 'opportunity' / business, and also give us lots of free publicity in the meantime

Another interesting thing that I read that puts things in perspective is that the bots always boast that forever living is a 2.6bil cash rich company.. But the 'how' of that eludes them.

Because the bots are classed 'independent business owners', fl can be relieved of any liability or associations with the net losses that the 99% of the bots take on. The company are cash rich and don't make a loss simply because all their takings come directly from the bots!!

I know this is obvious but it was the way it was phrased that was new and I thought brought the whole thing home in a simplified way of explaining things.

Basically, Imagine paying your employer instead of the other, normal way around

if they try any 'suing' i'll start compiling every social media post i can find with bogus claims by MLMs. Bring it. Fire with fire baby.
